The Grand Canyon is a place that you can’t miss if you are in the city of Zhangjiajie. This place is surrounded with so much nature and fresh air that will make you feel recharged. It is not an easy hiking so it is not recommended for people with weak knees. Make sure you bring comfortable shoes and some water, this site requires long walking around (2 to 3 hours). In case of getting exhausted is possible to find some places to sit down. Zhangjiajie - Grand Canyon

I booked my tickets to the Grand Canyon and glass bridge a day in advance. I used a travel agent on Wechat and the combined ticket cost 219rmb. I arrived at around 8.45am and the site was already starting to get busy. It opens at 8am and I would suggest arriving as early as possible! I started with the glass bridge, it was brilliant to walk over and fantastic for photo opportunities. On a sunny day however it’s extremely hot and I recommend sun glasses. After the glass bridge I zip lined down (50rmb) and got a slide (50rmb) the rest of the way to the bottom of the mountain. It was incredible fun and worth every penny! I then took a small boat journey (20rmb) to the walking trial through the Grand Canyon. This was very scenic and peaceful. I passed waterfalls, forests and a cave. You are then put onto another boat that takes you to the exit. The visit was exciting and definitely something you should do if ever in Zhangjiajie. I’ve attached a price list of other optional activities you can do such as bungee jumping. Finally got to visit this amazing place! (2 separate days) First trip to the Grand Canyon @ZhangJiaJie - The view is beautiful and though i didn’t get a proper picture the sheer drop from the bridge is insane! We took the zip line down (there’s a zip line!!) and it was great! The boat ride and walk down below was peaceful. Couldn’t believe how turquoise the water was! Second day trip to TianMen - Absolutely breathtaking (i was gasping for air the amount of steps are no joke, especially the stairway to heavens gate) The weather was rather misty at TianMen but it was gorgeous nonetheless! Didn’t manage to complete the 7km+ route (the park officers will usher you to the nearest way out and down by 5pm) but we completed half of jt so i’d say that’s a win!#travel #zhangjiajie #familytravel

was a great experience to travel to zhangjiajie, weather was cooling in september and the view was spectacular. recommend to wear comfortable shoes so it’s easier to walk thru the attractions. Avatar mountains was marvellous and the bridge was so beautiful when it was covered in the red wishing ribbons. Hope can visit again during winter to see the scenery with snow
