The most impressive architecture in China, the entire attic is built on a pile of sand
There are many historical and storied ancient buildings scattered in the towns and villages of various counties (cities, districts) in our country. These ancient buildings, weathered by the vicissitudes of time, are covered with traces of years like a song. These century-old buildings that have traversed time are not only a thing of the 'past', but also an ongoing 'present'. They deserve our contemplation on how to integrate them into ordinary life. In our country, there is even an attic hidden away, built entirely on a sand pile, yet it has stood for more than 450 years! Therefore, it is known as the most impressive building in the country. Curious friends might ask, where exactly is this attic? What unknown secrets does it hold? With these questions and curiosity, let's talk today about the stories of the Zhenwu Pavilion. Zhenwu Pavilion is located on the north bank of the Xiu River to the east of Rongxian County, Yulin City, Guangxi, and is known as one of the four famous ancient towers (pavilions) of Jiangnan in ancient China, along with Yueyang Tower in Hunan, Yellow Crane Tower in Hubei, and Tengwang Pavilion in Jiangxi. It was designated as a national key cultural relics protection unit in the second batch in 1982 and is known as the 'Outstanding Structure of the South'. Zhenwu Pavilion was built in the first year of the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty (1573), and the Jinglue Platform beneath it was built in the second year of the Qianyuan era of the Tang Dynasty (759), both with a long history.
