Mysterious hotel in the century-old building, a must-visit spot on the Bund!
Hello everyone, I'm your hotel experience officer Jelly, today I'm going to share with you an unforgettable experience I had in Shanghai - staying at the ZHotel hotel located in the Sama Building on the Bund. This hotel, with its unique design, quality service and excellent location, was a highlight of my trip. Let's feel the charm of this hotel together!
First, let's learn about the basic situation of this hotel. ZHotel is located in the Sama Building on the Bund, Zhongshan East First Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai, adjacent to the famous Bund scenic area, and only a few minutes' walk from the Nanjing Road pedestrian street and the People's Square business district. The transportation here is convenient and there are many surrounding attractions, making it an excellent choice for tourists when traveling in Shanghai.
Entering the hotel lobby, we will be attracted by its design. The design inspiration of ZHotel comes from the urban elements of Shanghai, such as Shikumen, alleys, etc., perfectly combining tradition and modernity. The decoration in the lobby is full of artistic atmosphere, making people feel as if they are in a space full of stories. Here, we can feel the unique charm of Shanghai.
In terms of rooms, ZHotel offers a variety of room types for guests to choose from. I stayed in a deluxe suite, which was fully equipped and luxuriously decorated. The bedding was extremely comfortable, allowing me to get plenty of rest during my busy journey. In addition, the floor-to-ceiling windows in the room allowed me to overlook the beautiful scenery of the Bund, and I was awakened by the charming scenery here every morning.
Next, let's talk about the dining experience. ZHotel has several restaurants for guests to choose from, including Chinese and Western restaurants and a coffee shop. I tried one of the Chinese restaurants, which had a rich menu and authentic taste, especially their signature dish - braised pork, which was unforgettable. The environment of the restaurant was also very elegant, making people feel very comfortable.
In addition to accommodation and dining experiences, ZHotel also offers a variety of entertainment facilities. The gym, swimming pool and other facilities are all available, allowing guests to maintain a healthy body during their journey. In addition, the hotel also provides free Wi-Fi service, allowing guests to keep in touch with their family and friends at any time.
Finally, let's talk about the surrounding attractions and transportation of the hotel. ZHotel is adjacent to the Bund scenic area, and you can walk to landmarks such as Nanjing East Road Pedestrian Street and People's Square. In addition, it is very convenient to go to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport from the hotel. You only need to take the subway line 2 to Guanglan Road Station and transfer to line 10 to get there.
Hotel address: No. 194, Beijing East Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai (370 meters walk from Exit 6 of Nanjing East Road Subway Station)
In summary, my experience of staying at the ZHotel in the Sama Building on the Bund in Shanghai made me deeply feel the collision of luxury and art. Here, we can not only enjoy high-quality services and facilities, but also feel the unique charm of Shanghai. If you plan to travel to Shanghai, consider staying at this hotel, I believe you will have an unforgettable journey!

The Bund, Shanghai, Sassoon House
The Sassoon House was built in 1918 and has a history of over 100 years. It is a protected building.
It later became the only hotel under the Artyzen brand that is housed in a historic building. The architectural design of the entire building is truly beautiful. The restaurant on the second floor is surrounded by various flowers, and the restaurant's various well-designed contours and flowers complement each other, making the entire space beautiful. The upper floors are the guest rooms, and each stairwell has a small design. The elevator is also very retro. The hotel rooms are relatively small, and the interior decoration style is simple and fashionable. Because the entire building has a long history and there are layout issues, it is understandable that the rooms are small. In summary, it is worth experiencing.

ZHotel at the Sassoon Building on the Bund in Shanghai
Enjoy the first-line view of the Bund
Here you can take the same photos as celebrities like Yu Shuxin!! Last time I came to Shanghai for a street tour, I was deeply attracted by this location. At that time, Sassoon was still under renovation, and I could only bribe the staff to come up. Now as long as you stay in the hotel, you can enjoy it!!!
The terrace of the front desk/restaurant is this classic location, it's so beautiful no matter how you shoot it, with both the Oriental Pearl and the Bund streets, it's so beautiful
What's important is that it's only a 5-minute walk to the river, very suitable for business travel and living~ And next to it is the Bund Source and the Peninsula Hotel, there are many delicious foods!
Super delicious breakfast
When I booked, I was too anxious to choose breakfast, and the front desk guy actually gave me two 88-a-day breakfasts for four days... this service is too great! I originally thought that Atour was a chain express hotel and didn't want to come, I didn't expect this hotel to be so great
The hotel breakfast I encountered has two types, one is Benedict Egg, and the other is a full English meal. Friends who don't know thought I went to a brunch shop, it's really worth it
|Living in a hundred years of history, the Sassoon Building was originally the Sassoon Bank Building, designed by a famous architect. The Baroque style of multi-curve carving combined with modern reinforced concrete craftsmanship, plus the vintage color that has experienced the wind and frost, it's really beautiful!
Photography Holy Land
The first and third floors are exhibition areas, with some paid art exhibitions. The decoration of other guest room areas is industrial style, you can take the vintage elevator, or climb the stairs, every corner of each floor will have beautiful ornaments and artworks.

Every floor of the building is a treasure trove of photo spots.

Share a surprise in Shanghai
🌟There is a Z hotel inside, which is very cost-effective, and the terrace room type is very photogenic
🥢The first floor is a Yunnan Bistro, 📍Dian Fu, which is hard to get a seat, and friends who like to try new things can try it
📷There are many photo spots, including:
1️⃣Century-old retro iron fence elevator
2️⃣Art exhibitions between floors
3️⃣The Living Room, an all-day restaurant, has the most beautiful terrace with the Oriental Pearl Tower as the background, where you can enjoy the century-old style of the Bund and the modern buildings on the other side. Time converges at this moment, giving you a feeling of being in another world
There are too many surprising corners to explore, it is recommended to stay at Z hotel and experience it for a whole day!

Shanghai Shamei Building
Recently, I went on a Citywalk in Shanghai and visited the Shamei Building. Looking up at this century-old building from the sidewalk felt like visiting an old grandfather, as if it were telling its life story to the world.
The Shamei Building was originally a bank and a foreign firm. After being acquired and preserved as a hotel, it was reopened to the public. The hotel retains its original features, and besides the restaurant balcony on the second floor where you can take photos, guests who choose a room with a balcony can step out and take pictures with a view facing the Pearl Tower.

Stayed at a life-changing hotel with friends in Shanghai!!
The hotel is within walking distance of Nanjing Road subway station, and is very close to the Bund and Nanjing Road. You can walk to both, making it a great citywalk hotel. You can see the Oriental Pearl Tower from the balcony. The hotel is in a century-old building, and the interior is beautifully decorated. There's a vintage elevator and a spiral staircase. The Bund View Terrace King Room has an amazing view, and you can see the Oriental Pearl Tower from it!! The standalone hotel has 7 floors. The first and second floors are a restaurant and a café, the third floor and above are the hotel, and the top floor is an art space and a bar. The restaurant on the second floor is worth mentioning. It's very vintage and the food is delicious.

Shanghai | The Unmissable Modern Chic + Retro Classic New Trend Hotel
ZHotel, a high-end, unique brand under the Atour Group, is both a continuation and an inheritance of Atour's legacy. Atour has set a commendable precedent, amassing a large number of loyal consumers. ZHotel is an extension of this, carrying the boundless imagination of the next generation of consumers for the hospitality industry. It is also committed to creating a hotel benchmark that the young Generation Z desires.
The choice of the Sami Building is indeed sagacious, as it possesses unparalleled external conditions. Its geographical location is superior, the architecture is elegant and magnificent, and it has a profound historical accumulation, filled with irresistible storytelling. Coupled with the intelligent, lifestyle-oriented, and social young ecosystem advocated by ZHotel, it naturally integrates co-working spaces, bars, restaurants, and event spaces.
The wrought-iron vintage elevator at the entrance is very appealing, instantly transporting you back to old Shanghai a century ago. The hotel lobby on the second floor is essentially a bar counter, a fusion of a bar and reception. You can check-in while shaking a cocktail bottle to the rhythm of the music. Haha, once you're here, let go of your age and socialize like the young folks!
The rooms are small, but in order to incorporate all functionalities into the limited space, every piece of custom-made furniture is used to its fullest extent. The desk and washbasin are combined, the mirror cabinet holds more than meets the eye, and the built-in storage cabinet is fitted with a full-length mirror. The design is ingenious and modern, and although compact, it is full of style! Particularly noteworthy is the balcony adorned with black iron railings. Once you step onto it, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the Bund, Sichuan Middle Road, and the bustling Shanghai are all at your feet!

Hehe, taking a photo in the hotel can prove that I have been to Shanghai
Standing on the hotel's terrace overlooking the Bund in Shanghai, Sichuan Road, and Beijing Road, it's like being in the streets of Paris.
🏨Hotel environment:
The Shama Mansion was built in 1918 and has a history of over 100 years. It is a protected building.
✅The biggest feature of the hotel is its strong historical sense.
✅The restaurant on the 2nd floor is surrounded by various flowers. The various design-conscious contours in the restaurant complement the flowers, making the entire space beautiful.
✅The location is excellent, it is very convenient to go to the Bund, Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and some popular check-in points, and it is not far to travel by subway.
✅Even if you take pictures on the street around, the rooftop and room terrace of the hotel can see the Oriental Pearl and the three-piece set, which is very suitable for taking pictures.

You don't need to squeeze a billion people to take pictures here, a relaxed photo can prove that you have been to Shanghai.
