Introducing the places visited on the second day 🌳 📍 Heritage Lodge in the Daintree Since we stayed here, we started the day by exploring the tropical rainforest within the accommodation grounds 🌿. The river water was crystal clear and beautiful, creating a Jurassic Park-like atmosphere. 📍 Noah Beach A stunning and expansive beach that was incredibly quiet due to the lack of people ⛱️. It felt like having a private beach 🐚. 📍 Madja Boardwalk A boardwalk surrounded by mangroves! You can enjoy the sounds of birds chirping and leaves rustling in the wind, engaging all your senses with nature while having a fun stroll. 📍 Mossman Gorge Although the water was a bit chilly in July, it would feel amazing during summer! Highly recommended for water activities. You can park your car at the facility, and from the entrance to the gorge, there’s a shuttle service costing $15 per person for a round trip. 📍 Trinity Bay Lookout You can enjoy breathtaking views of Four Mile Beach from above. The scenery here is truly stunning, making it a must-visit spot 🌞. 📍 Rex Smeal Park We waited for the sunset in this open space 🧡. Here, you can watch the sun set over the ocean. I stayed at the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Port Douglas, a hotel located in Port Douglas, Queensland, Australia. This is a very spacious resort hotel. The room I stayed in had a lagoon view, so I could overlook the beautiful pool and palm trees from the room. The scenery was so lovely that just being in the room was enjoyable. The bathtub was also spacious, allowing for a relaxing shower. There are several pools, ranging from deep pools for adults to very shallow pools that even children can enter. The suite is very large, covering approximately 152 square meters, with a separate living and bedroom, a luxurious large living room, a bathtub that is perfect for Internet celebrities, and the most amazing poolside terrace. The hardware and environment are extremely luxurious. The hotel is located on 147 hectares of tropical gardens and green land. It has an excellent geographical location, a golf course, and an extra-large and beautiful lagoon swimming pool. The clear blue water reflects the milky white resort hotel, which is very beautiful. There is also a private beach belonging to the hotel, and the port for taking a boat to the Great Barrier Reef is also very close by car. Five-star hotels are not cheap. The cheapest double room with garden view for two people, including breakfast, will cost more than ten thousand! Wow, Port Douglas feels like living in dream! This dreamy town really surprised me by it’s beauty. This town is all about relaxation, really tropical yet casual. Whether you’re looking for adventure or looking to chill out on the beach this seaside town has something for everyone! I only stayed here for 1 night as my trip didn’t allow to extend at the time but I so wished I had been able to stay here for a few weeks. Four mile beach was my favorite - but not because of what you may think. We found a dog rescue centre where you can help take the dogs for a walk and give them some love. (Really dog is a man’s best friend) It was so great to be able to do something so small that I really enjoyed! The beach isn’t heavily sandy, so it’s great for jogging - and the sea breeze was just perfect! Next time I go to Australia, I will be back to Port Douglas for sure! 📍Rent a car from Brisbane or other city and drive at your own pace to North Queensland. 📅 Itinerary Day1:travelled from Cairns up the coast to Port Douglas, stops along the way: · Palm Cove-really great vibey place. Great to walk all along the coast. Excellent cafes and shops · Hartleys Crocodile Farm- much better than expected great fun for people of all ages · Four mile beach and Yorkeys Knob -beautiful coastline Day2: an absolute must is Mossman Gorge. Absolutely stunning. The 2.7km hike is not hard but you really do need to have some level of fitness to do it. It is simply stunning however if you can only just get to see the rock pools 🏨 Accommodation - we stayed at the Mantra Inlet in Port Douglas. Good basic room and cheap but not recommended if you don’t like stairs. 🍴 Food Recommendations -don’t miss the Tin Shed. The food was excellent, great value with stunning views of the sunset 📌 Tips - we went up to The Daintree village but it was a waste of time. I would give it a miss
