There is a water source here for replenishment, which is very convenient 😀 But when you park your car here, you may experience the sound of prayer at 4 a.m. The walk from the old town to the fortress takes about 30 minutes and is very steep. Prizren is exactly the kind of small city I enjoy returning to. There’s no need for a huge sightseeing checklist. The pleasure is in wandering through the historic center, crossing the old stone bridge, stopping for coffee and looking up at the mountains surrounding the city. Then there’s the climb to Prizren Fortress. The view from above is probably my favorite part: red rooftops, minarets, churches and mountains all squeezed into one panorama. Prizren also has a relaxed atmosphere that makes staying longer surprisingly easy. Instead of rushing between attractions, you can spend time eating, walking and simply enjoying the city.
