Xin'an River, also known as Hui Port, is the upper section of the main stream of the Qiantang River system, originating from Huizhou (now Huangshan City) in Anhui Province, entering the western part of Zhejiang Province, and after passing through Chun'an to Jiande, it merges with Lanjiang to form the main stream of the Qiantang River, Tongjiang section and Fuchunjiang section, flowing northeast into the Qiantang River, which is the main source of the Qiantang River. Xin'an River is famous for its beautiful water color, and the ancient villages with pink walls and black tiles are reflected in the Xin'an River, forming a wonderful landscape painting. Shendu Town, located in the eastern part of Shexian County, was formed during the Tang Dynasty and built during the Song Dynasty. It was the water throat from ancient Huizhou to Zhejiang and an important distribution center for goods. It used to be the most prosperous ancient town on the water in Huizhou. Until the 1990s, it was still the largest hub on the water in Huizhou. With the rise of land transportation, the bustling scene of the past is no longer, which is sighing.
