Eo Gio-Ky Co is one of the newest tourist attractions for local tourists but not foreigners due to its inaccessibility. However, our trip here is definitely a great decision. We were welcome with great weather. The beach is clean and the water is very clear. We just hope mass tourism does not destroy this place. We will definitely be back to Ky Co. #2023travelwish

Quy Nhon - Beach town with Cham history

Quy Nhon is the capital of Binh Dinh Province (between Da Nang and Nha Trang). My main purpose of visiting this city was to appreciate the several Cham temples around the city. I reached Quy Nhon from Nha Trang by train at Dieu Tri Station (10km away from Quy Nhon city centre). You can also fly in to Phu Cat UIH airport or use buses and vans. Its city centre resembles that of Nha Trang with wide promenade along the beach, modern shopping malls and cafes. However, Quy Nhon is less busy. On my Cham temple day, I rented a motobike (VND120k/day) and visited Thap Doi and Thap Bahn It. These were built during 11th-13th century. My moto had a mechanical problem, so I missed other temples. In the evening after figuring out the moto problem, I sampled local foods at Quy Nhon Food Street. If you travel between Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, I recommend you to make a stop in Quy Nhon for 1-2 days.

Simple island life

There is one place in Vietnam that deserves to be seen by more people: Quy Nhon. Despite the fact that it is not a tourist destination, this medium-sized town is bordered by beautiful beaches and surrounded by beautiful scenery. It was a trip to Quy Nhon, Vietnam with friends. We started our day early at Ky Co Beach 🏝️ a stunning crescent-shaped bay with crystal-clear waters. Arriving around 8 AM gave us soft morning light for photos 📸 and a peaceful vibe before the crowds arrived. The mix of turquoise waters and rugged cliffs made every shot 💯 Don’t forget to explore the nearby coral reefs, perfect for underwater photography 📸 📍 Ky Co Beach, Nhon Ly Commune, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province We also visited Eo Gio, a breathtaking rocky outcrop famous for its panoramic sea views. This place is best explored in the late afternoon when the golden hour lights up the ocean. We strolled along the walking paths, taking pictures of the dramatic cliffs and the endless horizon. 📍Eo Gio, Nhon Ly Commune, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province We also explored Thap Doi Cham Towers, a unique set of ancient Cham structures surrounded by lush greenery. Quy Nhon is the “young” city in Vietnam, which has amazing sea food and the beach is so wonderful, however, the hotel in the downtown of the city is quite hard to find the good one, and I would like to introduce this hotel: 📍Address: Grand Hyams Hotel This hotel has the location nearly the beach, room for hotel in high floor, super clean. The not good is the elevator is quite slow and the buffet in the highest floor is not good from me, sounds very interesting but for sure it is not convenience. Highly recommend if you want to live in the downtown to discover the city. #quynhon :

Bus fare from Nha Trang to Giai Nghia: about 82 yuan, with a journey time of four hours Accommodation in Giai Nghia: Standard room ¥56/night Motorcycle: ¥45/day In Giai Nghia, you can hardly see any foreign tourists, although its beaches, historical sites, fishing villages, and other scenery are no less beautiful than Nha Trang, and perhaps even more so! The city's construction is inferior, but it is closer to the daily life of ordinary Vietnamese people. So far, we haven't seen even a shadow of the notorious snatch thieves or scammers. On the contrary, the impression left by the Vietnamese people is the opposite: they are polite, gentle, and calm. We actually arrived at the Giai Nghia bus station around 3 p.m. on the 27th. After getting to the hotel, it took my husband nearly two hours to rent a motorcycle. The rental period was from that day until 9 a.m. on the 29th, and the owner wanted to charge for two days, but my husband only wanted to pay for one day, and in the end, my husband won! I think he's really boring, what's the value of fussing over 6 or 7 euros? That evening, our son accidentally rode the motorcycle onto the roadside sand, the wheels slipped, and he damaged the motorcycle, scraping off several patches of paint and leaving scratches. The next morning, the owner kept the damaged motorcycle for repairs, and by noon, it was as good as new. The owner showed us the repair bill, which was about 90 yuan, and we were surprised at how cheap it was! By 9 p.m., we returned the motorcycle, and I handed over 90 yuan for the rental fee (2 motorcycles, 45×2=90 yuan), and the owner was stunned, quickly stuffing the money back, saying, 'No, No,/=$……' followed by a string of Vietnamese that we didn't understand at all. We had no choice but to give him 30 yuan to thank him for his honesty! When we were leaving, the owner also gave us a bunch of fruit. To this day, we still don't understand how he calculated the bill. Did he not charge us at all for the repairs?

#freehotelstay Address - The Haven on Bai Xep beach, Quy Nhon, Vietnam Ambiance/Facilities - Lush surroundings in tucked away accommodations on a quiet beach (in September) in a small fishing community Highlights - Swimming in the ocean, lying on the beach and listening to the ocean waves from the hotel room, and conversing with the staff that spoke English Avg. Price per Person - 40 dollars for private room (breakfast included) at the Haven Rating - 3.5. The Haven is wonderful and the beach is good for playing in the waves; however, the fishermen, locals, and neighboring establishment had no qualms about littering the beach, which took the ambiance rating from a 5 to a 3.5. Getting There - Shuttle from Phu Cat airport into Quy Nhon and then a short taxi ride/grab straight from airport. From there it is a short walk down narrow paths through a tiny business area. You stay to the right, and at the end of the path is the beach and hotel. Hotels - The Haven truly was delightful. There was access to free drinking water 24/7, the food was good, it was beautiful, and the room was pretty with a balcony and window with a sea view. Food & Restaurants - The Haven has its own restaurant overlooking the beach and it made delicious food. The staff were friendly. There was no need for me to go anywhere else.
