📅 Itinerary Day1: Have a drink and play some fun games at Boom Battle Bar Day2: Make use of the speedy 20 minute train to London and enjoy a nice day out! Day3: Take a walk along the River Thames (Yes, that goes through Reading!) and then build on your knowledge by going to the Museum 🍴 Food Recommendations ☕️ There are many nice cafes around the centre for example Coffee Under Pressure, or if you want to go a bit further out, Monty’s or Cafe Yolk 🍱 I indulged in some sushi whilst visiting and think that Itsu and You Me Sushi are worth a visit 🍔 🍗 Or there is a wide range of fast food places that are helpful for an easy lunch! I like Wendy’s, McDonalds and Wingstop 📌 Tips 🚌Despite being a walkable city, the busses come often and provide a nice break for when your legs are tired.

#winterescape Caversham is a very beautiful place for a walk and a meal, especially near the River Thames. You can enjoy nature 🌿, riverside views 🚶♂️, and then eat in nice restaurants nearby. One of the nicest spots is Caversham A peaceful riverside garden with flowers and big trees. Beautiful view of the River Thames. Perfect for a walk, picnic, or relaxing on the grass. Often there are boats and rowing clubs on the river. After your walk, you can easily go to restaurants in Caversham village.

Relax and unwind at the Roseate Hotel in Reading. starting with tea inside The Reading Room where I... you guessed it... read my book! Very quiet on a weekday afternoon. Spa treatments are in the more modern building across the parking lot in a space that also includes a gym for hotel patrons. A lovely massage followed by even more tea. The hotel is centrally located among the ancient Abbey Ruins of Reading.

📅 Itinerary Day1： Travel from Liverpool Lime St via train to Readin with a change at Stafford. Do work stuff. Check in to Malmaison just over the road from the train station 👌 Go to Royal Tandoori for a meal with colleagues. Recommend the Gobi Manchurian to start. Day2: Check out avoiding breakfast (optional cost) as it’s too early to eat 😂 More work stuff.. Catch train home back to Liverpool which was delayed 🙄 🏨 Accommodation Malmaison hotel just opposite the train station…lovely club room - sweet 🍴 Food Recommendations Royal Tandoori, Duke Street (Gobi Manchurian to start - took me back to times in Tamil Nadu) Carluccio’s, Forbury Square 📌 Tips For busy trains don’t buy split tickets ….painful when having to change seats on the same train - juice wasn’t worth the squeeze for me. Arguing with ppl in your reserved seat is tiring.
