Queen city: Saskatchewan's capital
Regina is Saskatchewan's second largest city and its capital city. As with any capital city, it therefore exudes a sense of grandeur.
Regina isn't really big; it's a small city with a few notable attractions that are however scattered around the city therefore be careful as walking can be tiring.
You'll want to visit the Legislative Building, which is opened for public tours. It is locate in a park with a large lake that's also nice to walk around.
Also make a stop to the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, which is a natural history museum and aims to inform visitors about the natural habitat of the surrounding area. Very informative and interesting to leave about.
Back in the downtown core, there aren't many things to do. However it's still nice to walk around and admire some of the 19th century architecture of the city.
Overall, not a city with a lot to do; however the sights are spread apart and still interesting to venture to if you've never been. After all, this prairie province isn't normally on people's radar anyway!

The Saskatchewan Legislative Building, located by Wascana Lake in Regina, is a landmark building.
This classical building, constructed in 1912, features a magnificent dome and elegant marble columns, giving it a grand appearance.
The Legislative Building is open to the public and tourists seven days a week for free. Free English tours are available from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM (French tours are available at 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM from Monday to Friday), guiding you through the building and explaining its construction history and the work of the legislators.
The "Legislative Chamber" is where legislators meet to decide policies. If you happen to visit during a session, you can sit in the public gallery and experience the debate atmosphere firsthand, which is definitely exciting, though we missed it.
The library in the Legislative Building is also open to the public and offers a variety of collections for both the public and government personnel. Isn't that amazing!

The T-Rex is probably the most popular dinosaur of all because its image is full of power. The world's largest T-Rex fossil, Scotty, was discovered in Saskatchewan, Canada.
When you come to Regina, you must visit the Royal Saskatchewan Museum to experience the spectacular T-Rex fossil. Most of the exhibits in the first-floor hall are related to dinosaurs.
This royal museum was built in 1906 as the provincial museum of Saskatchewan and is also the first provincial museum in the Canadian Prairies.
In addition to dinosaur fossils, visitors can also see specimens and activity scenes of various primitive animals, as well as models of indigenous life. It is an excellent choice for understanding the natural history and indigenous culture of Saskatchewan!

When you arrive in Regina, the capital of Saskatchewan, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Centre (RCMP Centre) is a must-visit spot.
As we all know, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is a symbol of Canada and is a unique police force in the world.
It is both the federal police of Canada and has the nature of a paramilitary and border guard force. Its establishment can be traced back to 1873, when it was formed as a mounted police force to maintain law and order in Western Canada. It was officially renamed the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in 1920.
The RCMP Centre in Regina not only includes the RCMP Academy, which trains the Royal Police, but also the RCMP Heritage Centre, which is open to visitors. Upon entering, there is a gift shop, and after purchasing tickets, you enter an indoor exhibition hall. Here, there are mainly some historical vehicles, daily necessities, uniforms, etc., used by the mounted police. Particularly eye-catching are some of the guns and swords they used, which are quite exquisite. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police also used "dog sleds" as patrol tools, which is quite refreshing.
