"Enjoying life while young."
I remembered this was my 3rd time to climb a mountain, because I want to explore to get out of my comfort zone. In this mountain I experienced the challenge in mountaineering, not only because this is my first time, but its rock formations going up until going down was really awesome. The ambiance there was cool and the hospitality of the locals and the tour guides gave us the warmth and excitement for the climb. Along the trail, there were stations of water and food that you can visit, also if you want some stop overs for you to reach the summit. In the peak, you will see great views, the Wawa dam, some houses, and even the other mountains that is good to climb also. That was a wholesome experience and for you to experience the sea of clouds, 4 am is the best time to climb.

Mt. Hapunang Banoi
You can do the trilogy as well cause Mt. Pamintinan is just separated via junction- the two are famous for twin hike. The other mountain is Mt. Binacayan which is separated from the two.
Mt. hapunang banoi is the tallest among the three thats why I picked it.
Tips:
· Bring gloves or you can buy at the entrance where you sign in. As you will be needing it cause the rocks are quite sharp.
· Jog a day before you do the hike 😂
· Not needed to bring water as you can buy it in the junction(a big expense though)
· Get Jaime as your tour guide. He is lit at taking photos 😂 also, he is good at pushing people and encouraging them to continue the hike. - Be safe on climbing into the rocks like this because you might lose your balance while you’re at the top. -Going down is the hardest part, so don’t think of quitting when you feel tired at the beginning. The peak will pay it all ❤️
· Choose to hike on weekdays (fewer people)
· Last but not least, wear proper hiking attire 😂 unlike me, I was wearing jeans and flip-flops, but it's fine..... I am a monkey 😂
Backgrounds are edited via Snapseed. Just use the saturation to make it more colorful and lively.
Dora- signing off 😂

As someone who's has never climbed a mountain before, my co-worker invited me to climb 3 mountains in one day. Thinking that the hike might be easy (who can climb 3 difficult mountains in one day, why would people organize something crazy like that) I agreed and asked him if he thinks I can do it. He told me I could. He was right (sort of) but I still hated him for it.
By 3 am we were already on our way to Rodriguez via a jeepney ride to Montalban. Afterwards, a trike to the foot of the mountains where you can also change (there are bathrooms and showers) and buy some climbing gloves and caps (I got a pair for P50, still have it until today).
Paid the fee and my co-worker already has an existing contact for a tour guide (this would be his second time climbing the mountains) and we were all set.
Climbing the first mountain at 4 am for me was a challenge; granted I am not the most fit person in the planet but wow that hike up was exhausting and long. It was also dark and rocky but my coworker has advised me early on to pack a flashlight (w/c I did). It wasn't easy to hold the flashlight and use my other hand as a guide to hold on to rocks/stems/branches. My coworker basically had to give me his headlight while he took my flashlight so I can free my 2 hands and not fall off the giant (to me at least, I'm 5 feet) boulders. Also, I don't wear contact lenses so the headlight was basically hitting my glasses half the time making my vision quite unsteady. Thank god for a cap, so bring a cap! It also stopped the excessive sweat from falling down my eyes like a freaking waterfall.
I honestly would've given up because this was not my idea of fun and I was way out of my comfort zone (which was the point but still) but my companions encouraged me and were very patient with me. Every time I said I need a break they were chill and like yeah we could all use a break. Basically, if you want to go on this trilogy make sure your companions don't mind waiting for you to catch your breath/sanity.
Can you tell I am not outdoorsy?
The sunrise was worth it though.
The second mountain was easier to climb but afterwards, I was just basically breathless and honestly, not physically prepared to climb 3 mountains. My tour guide, knowing this is my first hike, was so proud of me. I am not the kind of person who takes posed photos but he said I should have a record of my 'feat.' To be fair it is an amazing feat for me so yeah I posed on top of a rock.
The dogs of the mountain were faster than me, seriously. I made it halfway thru the third one and just had to stop because I was too tired. I urged my companions to go on without me and I just rested and read a book in one of the dining areas (made of bamboo, the air was refreshing. This was honestly the best part of the climb for me.)
After an hour and 30 minutes, my companions completed the trilogy and we rested together then headed over to the Wawa dam for a shower. That was
Adults will love it too! A paradise you can visit on a day trip from Manila! 🦒 Get up close and personal with the animals at Avilon Zoo!
I went to Avilon Zoo! I'd heard it was one of the largest in the Philippines, but I was even more impressed by how vast and naturally rich it was! ✨
The best thing about this place is the closeness you can get to the animals!
Feeding the giraffes was a blast for both kids and adults. 🦒 Watching them skillfully eat carrots with their long tongues is an unforgettable memory.
We also fed hippos with their wide-open mouths and gave treats to adorable Malayan sun bears... 🦛🐻 There were so many exciting activities! I was very satisfied with this experience, which is hard to find in Japan.
Price: Admission was 800 pesos per person.
Access: It was about an hour and a half by car from Manila. There was a bit of traffic on the way back, so it took about two hours. It's a bit far, but it's definitely worth it!
Park: The park is very large, so comfortable sneakers are a must. 👟
What to bring: The sun is strong, so don't forget a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. It's a good idea to bring insect repellent spray.
Time required: It was a weekday so it wasn't crowded at all, but we spent about four hours there. If you're visiting on the weekend or want to enjoy feeding the animals and taking photos, I recommend spending about half a day there.

Mt. Binicayan Summit
Beautiful Sunrise Appreciation at the summit of Mt. Binicayan, one of the Urban legends from the Story of Bernardo Carpio Aka. "Malakas"
Bernardo Carpio, a legendary giant in Philippine folklore, was said to possess immense strength and sought to protect his people from Spanish colonizers. When he defied the Spaniards and their sorcerers, they cast an enchantment that trapped him between the two colossal mountains, Mt. Pamitinan and Mt. Binacayan. Using his incredible might, he prevents the mountains from completely crushing him, but his struggles occasionally shake the earth, causing earthquakes. It is believed that Bernardo Carpio's spirit remains bound in the mountains, awaiting the day he will finally break free. Many locals hold onto the hope that his liberation will bring freedom and justice to the oppressed.
