[Europe][Spain] Ronda: spectacular view in the white village
Ronda is one of the most beautiful cities I visited in Spain. The sceneries are spectacular, with rich history and great restaurants. I enjoyed the view as well as the tapas. Very pleasant experience!
Andalusia Self-Drive Tour | Great Value Car Rental Guide!
| Great Value Car Rental Guide! Rental Precautions:
You must have held a driving license for at least one year, and you need the original Chinese mainland driving license + a sworn Spanish translation.
When picking up the car, please bring an international credit card under the name of the main driver for the vehicle deposit pre-authorization, and the cardholder's name must match the main driver's name.
The international credit card must be a physical card; electronic cards, virtual cards, and cashback cards (Bonus+/ Cash Rewards, etc.) are not supported.
Local fuel prices are approximately 13.01 RMB/liter.
Vehicles in Spain drive on the right side of the road, the same as in mainland China.
In Spain, if a motor vehicle does not turn off the engine after parking on the side of the road for more than 60 seconds, the owner will be fined 100 euros. The same fine applies if the engine is not turned off during severe traffic jams on highways.
Be careful to distinguish between gasoline and diesel; gasoline pumps are often green, while diesel pumps are usually black. Do not fill up with the wrong fuel.
In Spain, roadside parking is generally divided by color, into white, blue, and green parking spaces. White spaces are free; blue spaces are time-limited and paid; green spaces are only for local residents or specific groups. Illegal parking fines are about 100 euros.
Parking fees in Spanish cities are comparable to those in China, about 2-4 euros per hour. All-day parking is cheaper, between 10-20 euros. The payment method for parking is self-service, accepting cash or chip international credit cards.

Promise me, in this life, to visit Hemingway's elopement haven—Ronda, Spain once
After hearing about Ronda, some are drawn because of Hemingway, others because of Hayao Miyazaki.
You think it's the 'City of Elopement', you think it's the 'City in the Sky'.
Of course, some also call it the 'City of Photographic Deception'
In fact, aside from the frequently publicized Ronda's New Bridge, there are many other places to visit in Ronda, and many more views to see.
🗓 Itinerary:
Day 1: Ronda's New Bridge - Ronda's Old Bridge - Puerta de Felipe V
Day 2: Ronda Bullring - Ronda Arab Baths
Ronda, Spain, I don't believe anyone would elope here
Ronda, a city in Spain, is located in the hinterland of the northwest of Malaga Province in the Andalusia region of Spain.
It was born in the Roman Empire era, developed during the Arab invasion era, and its old town stands on a cliff hundreds of meters above sea level, giving a breathtaking sense of grandeur. The city mostly adopts Spanish architectural style, with white walls and houses, also known as the 'White Hilltop Town'. It is known as the 'city most suitable for eloping'.
The Nuevo Bridge (New Bridge) spans the Grand Canyon and connects the new and old towns, transitioning very naturally and appropriately. Ronda is also the birthplace of Spanish standing bullfighting, where there is the oldest bullring and museum in Spain. The town is peaceful and simple, as if it has naturally grown out of the surrounding cliffs.

Puente Nuevo Bridge Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
New Bridge
The Puente Nuevo is the newest and largest of the three bridges that spanned the 120 meters deep chasm that carries the Guadalevin River and divides the city of Ronda.
It was built between 1759 to 1793 by Jose Martin de Aldehuela, an impressive single arch placed on the middle, flanked by two more on either side.
The best views we can see of the new bridge are located at the end of a small path that runs from the Plaza de Maria Auxiliadora.
People dream of a day trip to Ronda from Malaga or Seville, hoping to see this bridge and the breathtaking panorama of the tajo gorge. It is not surprising that the locals and tourists are so fascinated by its incredible design.
The most famous attraction of Ronda is the Ronda New Bridge built in 1735. It spans the Eltajo Gorge and connects the new and old cities of Ronda to the top of the cliff.
Wandering aimlessly in the alley of Ronda, I found a street performer playing beautiful songs, a dog smiling at me on the balcony, or seeing a loving couple Walking hand in hand. Let yourself slow down and carefully discover all the beauty of the world.
Walking guide and 'pitfall avoidance' tips for the New Bridge in Ronda, Spain
Ronda, deservedly known as 'the city built in the clouds', is beautiful, comfortable, and free. To fully appreciate the beauty of the city's landmark - the New Bridge of Ronda, you need to put in some thought
🗓From the viewing platforms around the New Bridge, you can capture the angle as shown in picture 1. If you want to capture the view from below as shown in picture 2, you need to locate 📍Mirador La Hoya Del Tajo (Lookout Point)
📝However! The shortcut route given by Google map is closed in the middle! So you can add a stopover point 📍Ruinas de la Alcazaba, take a detour, and when you see the sign in picture 3 at the stopover point, you can go down the stairs on the right. It takes about half an hour to walk from the New Bridge to the destination.
After reaching the destination and taking photos, if you see many people continue to climb up the mountain, that! is! not! a! shortcut! The road ahead is still closed as tested, so you can only return the same way... The scenery on this trip is very good, but it is indeed a bit intense to go down the mountain and then up the mountain. If you don't do much outdoor exercise normally, please consider it carefully. I tried to take a taxi back up the mountain, but found it cost 60 euros , poverty made me climb up again~
If it's sunset, on the way back, pass by the stopover point 📍Ruinas de la Alcazaba again, take some photos on the city wall, it's very photogenic and you can see the pink sunset (pictures 456).
Wishing everyone a happy Year of the Dragon, and a smooth trip to Ronda~
The cliff town created by God - Ronda, Spain.
If your schedule allows, I suggest driving for over an hour to visit the Longda ancient town, now that you have arrived in Marbella.
The town is very small, although there are not many attractions, mainly around the New Bridge, but just seeing the city built on a cliff is enough to shock people! You can check in at the local restaurant during meal time and try the local cuisine. The grilled shrimp is delicious, but the sheep cheese there is really hard to accept. Because the location is facing the New Bridge and the cliff, it is normal to overcharge tourists, but compared to Switzerland, the prices are not a big deal.
Take a seat and enjoy the view of the city on the cliff in this small town, rather than rushing through it. Although this world is full of wonders, such a spectacle is not common.

Rondaaaaa! ☀️
Take your shoes and be ready to walk! Ronda is a place for hikers as you will be going up and down hills. You can enjoy magnificent landscapes full with golden colours and some green touches. you can also see a lake from one side of the town. This town has some traditional food and cheeses that you can get in several small shops. Parking may be tricky but if you go early in the morning it shouldn’t be an issue any time or the year. It is also important to have a few coins in case you need to use a toilet. And as part of my all times stop, even though is not a very big town, we did our traditional stop in guess where? McDonalds. This time we made a quick stop for a snack and carry on walking.
Bullring of Ronda, Spain
The Plaza de Toros de Ronda or Bullring of Ronda is a historic Bullring in Ronda which opened in 1785. It is the oldest bullring in Spain, and it is considered to be one of the cradles of modern bullfighting. It can hold up to 5,000 people, in its shaded stands.#ronda
Campamento Ronda Unicaja Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
More than 3,000 years ago, a group of thieves who fled in the Roman Empire climbed the cliff of more than 750 meters, camped here and began to live on the cliff.......
More and more with the passage of time The people have come here. A white house rises from the cliff, and the streets, churches, theaters, and shops spread the entire hillside, and the town of Ronda was born.
The town is mostly Spanish-style, and when you come here, you will have the illusion of being in a dream. Looking up is the blue sky, the white house is surrounded by flowers, and the bottom is a deep abyss. The unique romance is more attractive.
No wonder Hemingway will say in the novel "Death in the Afternoon": "If you want to go to Spain for a honeymoon or run away with people, Ronda is the best place to..."
Dragon reached the world famous town, thanks to Hemingway. The avid bullfighter came to Longda, the birthplace of the modern bullfighting, and met the influential matador and his son. In Longda's time, he gave Hemingway's writing inspiration. In "Dangerous Summer," he described the crazy experience of chasing the Spanish Bullfighting Tour more than 30 years ago. Another non-fictional work on bullfighting, "Death in the Afternoon," reveals that when he portrayed the role of "The Sun Also Rises," he actually took the name of the greatest bullfighter of the 18th century.
The cruel and bloody bullfighting is not enough to attract the attention of people all over the world. Many people may not go to see these works at all. However, in the "Death in the Afternoon", Hemingway gave Longda a concise and imaginative position - "the most suitable place for elopement", so Longda became famous and made everyone fascinated.
"The world is the most suitable place for elopement" - Spain Ronda
like the town of Ronda, which is located in the southern port city of Spain - about 100 km west of Malaga, is the most famous two cliff towns in Spain First, it is called "the most suitable place for the world to run away", and it is also the hometown of the Spanish bullfighter.
Ronda's summer morning and evening temperatures will be cooler, but the sun is hot in the afternoon, pay attention to sun protection. I like the comfort and quietness of this town, and it seems that I can always find surprises in the alleys. The eighth episode of the domestic variety show "Flowers and Teenagers" was filmed in Longda.
Spain's Ronda's giant cliff restaurant
, which only costs 30 euros per person, must choose a beautiful cliff restaurant in Longda to enjoy the food and beauty. The dinner time in Spain is relatively late, usually around 8 o'clock in the evening to eat around 10 o'clock in the evening, sitting outside and watching the sun slowly fall down the mountain. Tasting wine and food, Spanish wines must not be missed. Dining in such a beautiful place is a visual and taste bud.
