Due to time constraints, we could only make a quick trip to Japan this time. We discovered that Tigerair has flights to Saga, so we decided to check it out. Saga is a rural city with a slow pace of life. The attractions are quite spread out, but the scenery is absolutely stunning! The locals are very friendly, the food is incredibly delicious, and the prices are very affordable! Highly recommend visiting this unique part of Japan! There’s also a shuttle bus from the airport to the city center, which is very convenient. Since our trip was short, we didn’t check in any luggage. Passing through customs at the airport was super quick, and because the airport wasn’t crowded, the entire process was smooth with no need to queue. During our stay, we hardly encountered any foreign tourists (and if we did, they were fellow Taiwanese travelers from our flight). Overall, I highly recommend visiting Saga! I’d love to go back again in the future!

The moment it hit the grill, you could hear the sizzling sound, and the aroma instantly filled the air🔥 The marbling was simply irresistible. After grilling, the inside remained tender and juicy, and it literally melted in my mouth. The side dishes and seasonings were meticulously prepared, each adding a unique layer of flavor. The ambiance was serene and elegant, with wooden decor and soft lighting creating a very comfortable atmosphere✨ The staff were friendly and provided detailed explanations, making the entire dining experience feel like a six-star service with top-notch food quality! 🌿 Located in Mitsuse Village, Saga City, we visited 'Kurashi to Gohan Todai' 🥢 This healing café is quietly nestled deep in the mountains𖤣｡𖠿𖥧𖥣 We arrived early, so my daughter played with the café's mascot dog, Moku-chan, in the garden👱♀️. Moku-chan was incredibly cute and well-behaved🐕 ͗ ͗. Inside the café, there is a bookshelf that reaches up to the second floor, which is truly impressive😳‼️. There is also seating on the second floor, and the cloud-shaped lighting adds a stylish touch☁️✨. For lunch, you can choose from two main dishes🙌: ＊ Cream croquette with plenty of vegetables - 2,000 yen ＊ Venison and wild boar gibier hamburger steak - 2,200 yen First, we were served warm water infused with honey from Japanese honeybees🍯. The honey is homemade, and the gentle flavor was heartwarming😳‼️. This promising start raised our expectations🫢✨. The chilled cucumber soup was refreshing and light 🥒✨. The summer vegetable ratatouille was packed with the essence of vegetables, sweet and delicious♡. Then came the much-anticipated main dishes🫢︎💕︎. #September2025 During my trip to Saga, I visited Saga Castle and Mifuneyama Rakuen, experiencing distinct yet equally captivating landscapes. Saga Castle, with its magnificent Honmaru Historical Museum and well-preserved castle walls, evokes a sense of stepping back into the Edo period, offering a deeper understanding of local samurai culture and historical background. Exhibits within the castle also clearly showcase Saga's crucial role in Japan's modernization. Arriving at Mifuneyama Rakuen, a feast of natural beauty unfolds before our eyes. The gardens, nestled into the mountainside, offer a changing landscape each season. The lush greenery creates a tranquil atmosphere that invites you to slow down. This trip, while immersing myself in the richness of history, allows me to experience the tranquility of nature, leaving behind unforgettable memories of Saga.

I visited Saga Prefecture to avoid crowded tourist spots!!! Just as Yufuin is in Fukuoka, Saga Prefecture has Ureshino. I visited in the middle of summer, so I didn't stay at a ryokan, but just exploring the town was so much fun (I'll definitely be back in winter...) 🚇 24-hour car rentals for tourists were only 1,000 yen, so I made a reservation in advance from Korea. It's a small town, so transportation isn't that convenient, so I highly recommend renting a car. 📷 Take a picture in front of Siebold Onsen. 🍜 Be sure to try the hot spring tofu set at Soan Yokocho. 💡 As expected from a hot spring area, there was a footbath on the street. I visited around 8:30 AM, and I thought it was a local restaurant because I saw locals preparing bread early in the morning! The staff were so friendly and there were so many different types of bread that it was hard to chooseㅎㅎ I bought a lot of salt bread, melon bread, croquette, mini croissants, and sweet potato twist bread. There was a table right next to the store, so I was able to sample a few outside. The breads were delicious, and the mini croissants and sweet potato twists were really addictive!!!! The size was like a fingerstick, so I kept reaching for them and ate more than half of them while walking to the station,,,,ㅎㅎ If you visit here, I recommend trying them at least once!
