San Juanico Bridge is a truss bridge connecting the islands of Leyte and Samar. It is approximately 2kms long and can be walked for about 40 minutes. It was originally called as Marcos Bridge but later on as San Juanico Bridge since it is passing over San Juanico Strait. It also considered as the longest bridge in Asia. Two thumbs up ! Unless you have never been on or crossed a bridge in your entire life you won't be impressed. It's just a bridge, Nothing special about it except police on both sides that seem to be ready for an invasion.

Fresh water at Cabubas Falls
Hands down, getting to Cabubas Falls is its own little adventure! If you’re coming from Manila, you’ll first catch a flight to Calbayog, then hop in a Grand Tours van and ride all the way to San Jorge, Samar. And to top it off, prepare for a wild 30-minute habal-habal motorbike ride—total local vibes, and kinda thrilling ngl!
But omg, the payoff is unreal! The moment you reach Cabubas Falls, you’re hit with major peace. The sound of fresh water flowing is beyond relaxing, and the misty air instantly melts all the travel stress away. It’s the perfect spot to just vibe, soak your feet, or go all in for a dip!
Info drop for fellow travelers:
📍 Cabubas Falls, San Jorge, Samar, Philippines

Bring snacks, water, and a waterproof case—trust me, you’ll want those IG-worthy waterfall shots! If you want your next adventure to feel *sooo good* and a bit off the beaten path, Cabubas Falls deserves a spot on your list.

is San Juanico Bridge a tourist spot? 🇵🇭🌁
#travel #bridge #philippines
A tourist spot can be classified as a cultural, historical, or entertainment attraction.
The San Juanico Bridge is not just a symbol of love and friendship-it is, to me, a symbol of hope. This bridge has long connected the people of Samar and Leyte, who rely on it for access to resources, opportunities, and one another.
Though these two provinces have distinct dialects, cuisines, and cultures, they remain connected by shared history and adaptability. Despite their differences, the people are resilient and united.
Today, the bridge is under a state of emergency, with hopes for a budget allocation to fund its repair.
So, is San Juanico Bridge a tourist spot?
Yes-but it's also so much more.

Imelda Park in Catbalogan City
Named after former first lady, Imelda Marcos, the park has had many renovations already as managed by the Provincial Government of Samar. Now tagged under Spark Samar, it has always been a favorite spot for families and friends.#catbalogancity #captivatingcatbalogan
#Malajog Zipline located about 30 minutes north of Calbayog, Samar in the Philippines is a non-starter if you happen it hear about it. It is closed. We had a look at the little beach resort there as the photos show. It would be an ok place to relax but while the beach sand is black and interesting other than that it’s not worth the trip.
