King's Lake: A Harmonious Blend of Mountains and Water, Stunning Natural Scenery
Visiting King's Lake is not just about boating; you can also go hiking. Especially in the Upper Lake area, you must hike a bit to see even more beautiful scenery. If you want to see waterfalls, you will need to walk up and down to find them. The forest and vegetation are sights that city dwellers rarely see, so if you have the chance, you should definitely take a walk and enjoy the different natural landscapes.
King's Lake - Check-in Waterfall
King's Lake is not just a lake; it also has a waterfall. You can see it from a distance by taking an electric boat, and after walking for an hour in the upper lake area, you will see another waterfall. Some people say it's not worth going up because the waterfall is small and not very spectacular. But I think it's hidden in the mountains and forests, with sunlight streaming through the trees, making it a perfect spot for photos. However, if you arrive at the upper lake area after 11 AM, it's not recommended to go (the round trip to the waterfall takes more than an hour).
Germany's Most Beautiful Lake - Königssee
Germany's Most Beautiful Lake - Königssee
Königssee is located near the border town of Berchtesgaden, between Germany and Austria. To visit Königssee, you can start from Salzburg or Munich. The lake's location is unique, as it is completely surrounded by the Alps, offering breathtaking scenery. Blue skies, alpine meadows, and green waters create a paradise-like setting. The boats on Königssee are all electric to protect the environment. Nature lovers should not miss this spot.
Another part of German that is very different is Konigssee, this place is unique. It remind me a little bit of switzerland architecture but the air quality is exactly like switzerland. The water is clean, the city pretty quiet. Surrounded by the beautiful lake, paying a visit here should worth your time. #merrychristmas

Germany's famous attraction, Königssee, surrounded by the snow-capped Alps!
Königssee, a renowned tourist spot in Germany, is located on the border between Germany and Austria. This lake is encircled by the Alps, exuding a natural ambiance! The reflection on the lake is mesmerizing, showcasing a unique, clear emerald green color! This time, I came here mainly to take a boat ride from the Königssee pier to the lower lake and visit the famous St. Bartholomew's Church. This church, primarily red and white, looks particularly striking in photos with the lake's reflection and the mountains in the background! As we are approaching winter, the Alps are also covered in various types of snow, which is quite a surprise!
For this one-day trip to Königssee, I stayed in Berchtesgaden. Booking through Trip.com's Platinum Member offers made it even more affordable! Germany's Popular Attraction: Königssee, with its crystal-clear and stunningly green waters, is a sight to behold!
Königssee is one of Germany's most popular attractions. If you're visiting Germany, this is a must-see destination! It is the deepest and clearest lake in Germany, located in the Berchtesgaden National Park in Bavaria. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, with beautiful reflections on the lake's surface and the clear green waters. The natural beauty here is truly awe-inspiring! Additionally, you can catch glimpses of parts of the Alps, and on clear days, you might even see some mountain peaks! As you stroll through the Königssee area, there are some shopping streets to explore as well. If you have the time, it's recommended to spend an entire day here, as there are plenty of photo spots to capture. Overall, Königssee is a highly recommended destination!
A Hidden Paradise - Germany's Königssee
Königssee is a picturesque natural attraction surrounded by the magnificent Alps. The lake's crystal-clear waters are like a mirror, reflecting the serene beauty around it. Sitting quietly by the lake, I felt a profound sense of peace. There are many outdoor activities available here, including boating and hiking, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in nature's splendor. I chose to hike along the lakeside path, where the scenery was breathtaking, especially the waterfalls and lush greenery. I encountered many tourists from around the world, all drawn by the area's natural beauty. As the sun set, the lake's surface shimmered with golden waves, and in that moment, I deeply felt the power and tranquility of nature. Königssee is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the serenity, and it's worth savoring for every traveler.
Germany's Königssee – A Stunning Hidden Paradise
Last time I went to Germany, my sister was eager to visit Königssee, a lake surrounded by breathtaking scenery and mountains. We asked our relatives living in Germany for the best way to get there, and it turned out that it was very convenient to travel from Salzburg, Austria. So, we first took a train from Munich to Salzburg and stayed there for a night before heading out the next day. We stayed near the train station and discovered that the direct bus to Königssee was also nearby, making it very convenient. The bus ride was only about twenty to thirty minutes. Our bus made a stop midway, and we thought we needed to transfer, but the driver, with limited English, told us to wait for ten minutes before continuing, so we stayed on the bus.
Soon, we arrived at our destination and immediately bought boat tickets. Königssee is divided into the Upper Lake (Obersee) and the Lower Lake (Salet). We first visited Obersee and then Salet. During the boat ride, the captain introduced Königssee in German. The most unforgettable part was when a person on the boat played a horn, allowing us to hear the beautiful echo from the mountains, a gift from nature.
Although it was drizzling when we visited Königssee, the mist on the mountains made the scenery look like a painting. There were many spots perfect for taking photos. Walking in the mountains, breathing in the fresh air, and absorbing the natural energy made us feel rejuvenated. The ducks in the mountains were not afraid of people and playfully gathered around my feet.
Afterward, we slowly took the boat back to Salet. It was noon, so we had a dish made from fish caught in Königssee. Although the cooking method was a bit intense, the fish was incredibly fresh. We then visited the St. Bartholoma church, which looked like a red onion. It was small inside but felt very peaceful.
If you travel to Germany, I highly recommend visiting Königssee to appreciate the beauty of nature.
King's Lake in Germany
⛱️Must-visit attraction: King's Lake
King's Lake is the deepest lake in Germany and one of the most beautiful. The lake was formed during the last glacial period by glacial erosion, giving it a long and narrow shape reminiscent of Nordic fjords. The lake is completely surrounded by the Alps. It is said that the name of King's Lake comes from the surrounding mountains: one resembles a king, another a queen, and the small hills in between are their children, with a distant peak resembling a lying witch.
🌄Travel tips: The best way to explore King's Lake is by boat or rowing, as it is a very narrow lake, 7.7 kilometers long and about 1.7 kilometers at its widest point, with a shoreline of 19.96 kilometers, nestled among towering mountains. There seems to be a hiking route, but unless you stay in the area, it is not possible to walk around the lake.
🏨Accommodation tips: There are not many accommodations by King's Lake, so you can stay in a small town a few kilometers away.
💗Other tips: Stop at the St. Bartholoma pier midway, where there is a small red-roofed church, the St. Bartholomew's Chapel. It is like a postcard, and most people get off the boat here.

The most beautiful lake ever
#myhiddengems
This was an absolute hidden gem during my travels in Europe. Part of our trip to Berchtesgaden National Park, we took a tour of the Lake Konigssee, which was the most serene leg of our trip. While my photos may not do it justice, but during certain hours the lake was so surreal.
Before you take this beautiful ride there are other things you can do in the vicinity. For instance, You get to visit the lakeside Bavarian village. They have some quaint restaurants there too. The baroque style church of St. Bartholomew.
Further you can walk to st. johann and pearl chappel. There were some very interesting guided tours too which are supposed to be extremely informative in terms of the region's history and geographical characteristics.

Germany's Most Beautiful Lake - Königssee
People who enjoy the view of lakes and mountains must go and see it, it's very beautiful. The boat tickets for the upper lake area are more expensive, but the scenery is even more stunning. However, you should pay attention to the opening hours of the upper lake area, and note that getting there involves a hike. Personally, I recommend not going all the way to the waterfall, as it is quite small and not very impressive. It's better to spend the time enjoying the views of the lake.
Hiking in the Upper Lake District of Königssee.
To get to the lower lake district of Königssee, you can take a boat, but if you want to see what the upper lake is like, you have to hike there. It takes about a few hours, and some parts of the trail are not very easy to walk on. If you want to go up, it is recommended to wear sneakers and pants. However, the scenery of the upper lake is very beautiful, the color of the water is a lighter shade of blue-green compared to the lower lake district. After reaching the farthest point of the upper lake, you can even go further to see the waterfall.
Königssee in Bavaria, Germany - A Reflection of Beauty
Königssee is located at the southeastern end of Bavaria, Germany, and its special feature is the extremely clear lake water that reflects the surrounding mountains and buildings! This time, taking a bus from Salzburg, Austria to Königssee in Germany, the scenery I saw was truly breathtaking. The water at the edge of the lake reflects the appearance of the mountains, and also reflects the clouds in the sky, full of surprises! In addition, from different angles, I also took many photos of the reflections, highly recommend visiting this Königssee!
This time, I bought the plane tickets through trip.com to get to Salzburg, and also earned trip coins! Why not download it now? Become a diamond member and earn even more coins!
A day exploring in beautiful Konigssee
#2024wish
The Konigssee is a natural lake in the southeast Berchtesgadener land district of the German State. The place was really beautiful and stunning . We were amazed by the landscape of the place .
Get ready your camera to take more nice picture here . The Moutain and the lake make it to the perfect scenery of the area, you could easily spend at least few hours here.
In 2024, I wish to visit United States 🇺🇸. Hope the dream come true.

Beautiful Koenigsee, Munich
The best trip I had so far in Germany! Stay in a good hotel resort facing the famous Konigssee (Lake). Plan at least 3 days to explore the multiple stops along the Lake. Climb the glacier hills to enjoy the refreshing view of the mountains and glacier, drink fresh cow’s milk and dine by the old church
Lake Konigssee in Germany is the ultimate winter fairy tale town on earth. The peacefulness of the lake, the whiteness of the snow and the huts surrounding the lake make me feel like I am walking in my dream.

No filter, the King's Lake taken by iPhone 10 is so beautiful.
In early spring, the German King's Lake is very beautiful and moving. The distant mountain peaks are still covered with thick snow, and the clear and transparent lake water reflects the inverted image of the mountains. We stayed at the Count of Anif Hotel, which is only a little over an hour's drive from the King's Lake. There is a large parking lot. After visiting the town of Schönau, we took a boat to tour the King's Lake. Looking at the red domed church from afar, reflecting between the snow-capped mountains and green water, it is really beautiful!
Kings Lake is Germany's deepest lake, a small and beautiful lake in the small town of Berchtesgaden on the German-Austrian border. Surrounded by mountains in the southern part of Bavaria, Kings Lake is a lake eroded by glaciers, much like the northern fjord, with clear waters. The lake is like a mirror, Bishengmeiyu, surrounded by mountains, like a fairyland, is known as the most beautiful lake in Germany.
In order to protect the purity of the lake, from 1913, no motor boat was allowed to enter Kings Lake. Nearly a hundred years have passed, and people who love nature drive electric boats and swim in this unspoiled water. This lake is also part of the famous Berchtesgaden National Park, which is not in the waters of Switzerland. It is not allowed to enter private yachts here. Therefore, in front of the two sides of the green hills, the opposite is the only one of the lake. The rainy and misty lakes can't distinguish the color from the sky. Only the autumn forests on the hillside constitute the only color of the picture.
[Playing Suggestions]
Compare recommended to take the first general boat, sit directly at Obersee Obersee, and pass by St. Bartholomew to buy St Bartholoma, don't disembark with the big troops. Sit directly to the lake. After the trekking tour, return by boat and buy grilled fish for lunch at St Bartholoma in St. Bartholomew. Then take the boat back to the departure of Kings Lake Pier. If the weather is good, you can walk to the Jena Peak ticket office in the afternoon to buy a two-way cable car ticket. The top of the hill overlooks the entire Kings Lake and the second peak Watzmann in Germany. For fun, Kings Lake + Jena Peak takes a whole day.
[by boat tip]
1) To get the best angle of the onion head church (St. Bartholomew's Church) in the promotional photo, please be careful to sit on the right side of the cruise when you are on the way. Left side.
2) If you want to take a picture of the captain's trumpet, it is recommended to sit by the window that can be opened, usually at the end of the boat. The position window we were sitting on could not be opened. I only photographed the captain's back.
The first stop of the King's Lake tour begins with the very conspicuous church that looks a bit like a red onion! The name of this red-roofed church is St.Bartholoma, the most iconic building in Kings Lake.
This church, built in the 12th century, is known for its smallness and beauty. It was not until the 16th century that it gradually developed into a baroque style. There are not many interiors to visit in the interior, but because of its unique appearance, it has attracted many people to come and check out.
Responsible Travel Tips
1 Kings Lake is the cleanest lake in Germany, even if it is a boat, all electric, very environmentally friendly. In addition to the footprints, remember not to leave anything behind;
2 The top of the red-top church is a resting area by the lake. There are many stools on the road, you can sit quietly and enjoy the beauty of nature;
3 The last boat from the Red Top Church to the gate of Kings Lake is at 17:30, please pay attention to your schedule.
Traveling on the Salet section of Kings Lake, it is divided into two important viewing areas: the pasture area and the waterfall area. After a short break in the pasture area of Figure 2, you can then walk up for 40-50 minutes to reach the waterfall area.
As you can see from Figure 3, the waterfall above is also very spectacular, and along the way are all green lawns, perfect for hiking and relaxing.
Responsible travel Tips
1 Kings Lake Day Tour, be sure to get up early, I suggest you get up before 6am and go to Salzburg Railway Station and take the 840 bus. ;
2Salet if you want to play to the waterfall area, plus at least 4 hours of rest and back, you need to pay attention to reasonable time, the red top church area below may only be a rough tour;
3 Kings Lake has a small number of homestays at a higher price. If you want to immerse yourself in this fairytale lake world, consider staying overnight. (Most B&Bs only know German and need to make an appointment in advance)
For more information on Kings Lake Travel, please follow me on Trip for details.
Kings Lake is the deepest lake in Germany. It is foggy in the morning, and the lake is beautiful, and it is like a fairyland. It is said that the name of King Lake is derived from the surrounding mountains, one like a king, one like a queen, the middle of the hill is their children, and there is a witch peak lying in the distance.
The boat drove very slowly, slowly passing through the morning mist in the mountains, leaning against the glass window and looking at the lake and the mountains, the time seemed to be still, letting people forget everything in a moment, only to see the natural beauty of the landscape. On the way, there will be a place called "Echo Wall". This is the famous program of the cruise ship "Echo from King Lake". After turning off the motor, the captain took out a golden trumpet and blew out the folk songs of Bavaria. One sentence and one sentence, the echoes on the opposite cliff came and heard quietly. Everyone listened quietly.
Kings Lake is located at the foot of the Alps in the border area of Germany and Austria. It is a place where people can easily be crying. Known as the most beautiful and clean place in Germany, this is also a good place for Central Europeans to relax and relax on weekends.
doesn't require too much complicated experience, as long as you lie on the lawn, it is enough to look at the lake quietly!
