#hotelreview 📍Sekinchan Padi Sentral Homestay Simple, minimalist and got that rustic industrial look. Self-check in/out with a machine. The room is also very nice and clean. A comfy stay with a scenic view of the paddy fields. The rooms were clean and cozy to stay in. It has very open space. The gigantic window viewing open paddy fields is the best part. It's brilliant. The surrounding is calm, it's everything I want for a quiet holiday. You need to drive a bit to find eateries. There are cafes and restaurants nearby. I am satisfied with my 2 days and two nights stay here. The best things about this place is the roof top and its location where it is situated in the middle of paddy fields. Walk, cycle and explore the corners of Sekinchan. It is such a beautiful and nice place for family getaway. This is a good place to chill and to enjoy the picturesque paddy fields with fresh cool air. Everywhere I turn, I can see paddy, green scenery and peaceful. The time we went was just nice. Everything is so green. Green as far as the eyes can see, just make sure you visit at the right time when the paddy is green. The best thing is that there are not many people or crowds which making it best for taking photos. A DAY OUTING IN SEKINCHAN PADI FIELD

#wheretogo Sekinchan is a small town located about 1 hour drive from Kuala Lumpur. It is famous for its landscape of paddy fields and sumptuous of seafoods. It was an impromptu visit with buddies after a breakfast in Kuala Lumpur as the weather was great that day. So we car pool all the way to Sekinchan. We went in Dec, and it wasn't actually the best month to visit the paddy field as the harvest season has just passed. Nevertheless, we just try our luck and it turned out to be a great outing. The started with strolling around the padi field in a rented rickshaw bike. Then we stopover to the Paddy Gallery. This place is definitely worth the visit. It is a rice processing factory + gallery + museum where visitors get to learn everything about the life cycle of paddy from the seeds to the rice we eat. It also showcased the evolution of paddy plantation. At the end, visitors can also purchase ready packed rice there. Besides the gallery, visitor can also visit a Chinese temple nearby. Oh, don't forget to get yourself a nice icy coconut "float" (with ice cream), perfect drink under the blazing sun! This is the time to let the children know what a paddy plant looks like that produces rice. It is recommended to come in the season of ripe rice. At that time, the whole paddy field looked yellow like gold glittering in the sunlight. Definitely a different experience than others. Paddy fields in Sekinchan is grown twice a year, from March to June, and from September to December. Made of ice shaved mix with sugar palm, coconut milk and cendol. This restaurant served delicious cendol i ever tasted. They have a lot of cendol variety in the menu. During our visit, we try their Cendol Pulut & Cendol Durian. Unfortunately, the noodles is not that good. But we definitely will comeback for it Cendol. Avg. Price per Person - RM20

Had our breakfast at Bie Ren Dee Kopitiam in Bagan,Sekinchan,a very humble kopitiam next to a house.In Sekinchan having seafood during breakfast time is been part of local culture.The seafood porridge is fresh and delicious,but the sambal small prawns is a bit salty.Fry mantis prawns taste good.Price very reasonable but the service is a bit slow,only one chef.Still worth to wait and will revisit

Seating - structured with numbering and follow turn, staff - generally friendly, service - pretty fast upon submitting order (less than 15 minutes can get your food already), environment - very nice sea view and sea breeze, parking space - acceptable and maybe need to walk a bit during peak hours, price - bit high side (1 jug of watermelon lychee about RM30), taste - too salty for kailan ikan masin and kind of extra sweet for tomyam, salted egg and dried chilli mantis prawn, and hopefully they checked their serving plate in future prior using it so that my case being served with cracked plate won't happen to others

Address - Jalan Ban Kenal, Jalan Parit 5, 45400 Sekinchan, Selangor Ambiance/Facilities - Tranquil environment as this cottage house is surrounded by agricultural farm. Cottage house is clean, water supply is good though in a remote area. There are many facilities within the homestay area like inflatable swimming pool for kids, pantry got refrigerator, water dispenser, karaoke room, game room and glamping site. However some facilities were not operating when I was there. You can rent a bicycle to cycle around the paddy field and agricultural land. Highlights - Many instagrammable spots to capture beautiful moments. Avg. Price - Rate per room is quite affordable ranging from RM100 to less than RM200. Rating - 4/5. Coconut Shake! 🥥

Besides Melaka, Sekinchan also got Coconut Farm to visit. There are many stalls selling foods and it’s nice to eat while having your shake shake! I ordered Double Scoop Coconut Shake and got wafer biscuit as topping! The price is between RM10 and below. Not too pricey and affordable lah. FYI, got many OOTD place for the instagramers out there! 🫢

Kl and Sekinchan -a real gem near Kl

Highly recommend a trip to Sekinchan to see the paddy fields and very quiet beach. Barely a 2 hour drive from kl. very quiet and relaxing place away from the hustle and bustle of the city. the beautiful location to spend during weekend especially if you miss the beach or ocean vibes. located not too far from KL area and took around 2hours drive from KL. if you like fishing this place is really recommended. You can fishing along the beach or just enjoy the sea view and the vibes. But always remember to bring you umbrella and sunblock cream. It’s really hot weather and hard to get rain around this area. I suggest you to wear hat or head cover and bring enough water to stay hydrated. Around this area there’s restaurant call Ayah Bonda serve fresh seafood and local food. they also have good desert such as coconut shake and dadih which is something like jelly. and don’t forget to try their sugar cane really refreshing. #fishingspot #weekend #weekendvibe #oceanview #oceanviews

Lovely Seafood Dinner @ Kuala Selangor

Passed by this seafood restaurant on our way back from Teluk Intan. Mentarang Bakar was the name given - is actually a type of seafood shellfish which looks like cockles. A lot of variations for seafoods can be found here with the usual Siakap and Pari as the main dishes. Other shellfish includes cockles, prawns, squids and mentarang. We ordered udang masak lemak cili api, siakap bakar and mentarang bakar and it costed us only 80++ ringgit. Do drop by here if you pass by the Kuala Selangor expressway to Klang. The food tasted very nice and you can enjoy affordable price as well. As for us, we left with happy tummies 😄
