Climbing the Broga Hills
#mymymemories
Climbing the Broga Hills is one way of appreciating the Malaysia beautiful and green scenery.
The overall climbing to the top and down the hill will take about 3 hours total but people usually spend more time at the top enjoying the view and the gentle breeze.
If you ever come to Malaysia do enjoy climbing the Broga Hill and experience the breezy greeny part of Malaysia
Broga Hill
Broga Hill is a popular hiking destination located in Semenyih, Selangor, Malaysia. It is approximately 400 meters above sea level and offers a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding countryside, including lush green hills, small towns, and palm oil plantations.
The hike up Broga Hill is relatively easy and takes around 30 to 45 minutes to reach the summit, depending on your fitness level. The trail is well-marked, and there are several resting spots along the way. The best time to start your hike is early in the morning to avoid the heat and the crowds.
Once you reach the summit, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the sunrise, which is why many hikers choose to start their hike before dawn. The view is particularly spectacular on a clear day, with the sun casting a golden glow over the landscape.
Overall, hiking at Broga Hill is a popular activity for both locals and tourists alike, and it's a great way to experience the natural beauty of Malaysia while getting some exercise at the same time. Just remember to bring plenty of water and wear appropriate hiking shoes and clothing.
Hiking at Broga Hills
Already awake at 4am and drive for about 45minutes from my place to here. Even though it’s really early in the morning but there’s already a lot of hikers preparing themselves for the hike. Parking area was almost full but we managed to find a place to park our car (please bring small change for parking fee and entrance fee). Hike took more than 3 hours for us as we walked slow and trying to avoid crowd by stopping on the side of the pathway. The pathway at the peak were very small and steep but there’s a rope you can hang onto.
Sunrise View Hike only an hour away from KL!
Bukit Broga or Broga Hill is located in Semenyih, about an hour or less from KL city centre. The hike itself is not so difficult but because of lack of trees, it can be very hot if you attempted it after 9.00am. So most people choose the sunrise hike which start as early as 6.00am. Due to its proximity to KL and relatively easy climb, it can be really crowded on weekends and public holidays. Better go on weekdays to enjoy the scenery at your own leisure pace.
The view from the top is stunning due to the lack of trees. Almost similar to Cempohan Walk in Ubud Bali with its lalang covering the hill top. It is a must do for everyone visiting KL!

They maybe closed for certain public hols so better to call first to check. Entrance fee of RM5 (inclusive of parking) for Msian adults, RM3 for children. Foreigners rate is RM6.

Nestled near the Semenyih reservoir lies the Lalang hot springs. This is a small but untouched piece of nature. Here you can soak in the natural hot water. There are changing rooms, showers and even a cafe where you can enjoy a light snack, prepared by the locals with a smile. Once inside, you have a choice of two pools. The first being a lot hotter than the second. Both pools are clean and comfortable. There are places to sit and rest after soaking for a couple of minutes.
Getting here is easy by car. About 30 minute drive from Kajang. Most people come here in the evening but this hot spring can be enjoyed at all times of the day. The opening time is 5am and the closing time is 12am.
