Sequoia National Park
California is one of the most beautiful states in the U.S., and when you visit Sequoia National Park, you’ll understand why.
From its larger-than-life redwood trees to its glittering underground crystal caves, it will leave you breathless from top to bottom.
The main attraction of the park is its giant sequoia trees.
They’re more than 2,500 years old and 275 feet tall, so humans are the size of ants compared to their trunks.
They’re also quite rare; California is the only place to find their particular species, so the park is a unique chance to see, touch, smell and photograph them.
You can also explore caves, canyons, rivers, granite domes and toppled tree groves in Sequoia National Park.
In the summer, there’s rock climbing and horseback riding. In the winter, there’s skiing and snowshoeing.
Consider a trip to Sequoia National Park if you’re looking for fun things to do in California.
Not only is it a beautiful place, but it’s open 365 days per year, so you’ll never have trouble fitting it into your schedule.
You can be packed up and ready to explore the redwoods as early as this weekend!

Went to the Sequoia National Park to see the world’s biggest three. It was almost 4 hour drive away from LA county Torrance and we left home around 4am. It was pretty long trip but I never regret!
There are multiple trails so I would recommend to try several trails if you arrive early morning.
And this park has different amazing view in summer and winter, so please please visit here at least twice a year.

Lost in the giant Sequoia forest 🌳
Introducing a lesser-known gem in #California that’s absolutely worth a visit! Sequoia National Park is home to the world’s largest tree, the Giant Sherman, and is located less than a 4-hour drive from major cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Here are some top tips to make your visit to this incredible park even more special:
🚗 Drive through Tunnel Log: Don’t miss the chance to snap a memorable picture of your car driving through the giant sequoia tree that fell over more than 100 years ago! (📍Crescent Meadow Rd, Sequoia National Park, CA 93262, United States)
🌲 Explore the Big Stump Trail: Take a stroll along this trail and learn about the park's history. It offers a unique perspective on nature preservation and is a great educational experience if you're traveling with kids. (📍The Big Stump Grove, Miramonte, California 93641, USA)
☘️ Grow your own sequoia: Many people don’t know this, but you can pick up a sequoia seed kit, complete with instructions, from the park’s souvenir shop. We’ve loved growing ours at home, and this special souvenir is a lasting reminder of our wonderful time in this beautiful park!

Sequoia, stunning drives through giant trees
If you have ever wanted to feel really small and insignificant as a human being then you should definitely take a trip to Sequoia national park in California, home of the infamous giant Sequoia trees. I have never seen trees of such a scale before in my life, we took a trip to the giant forest and honestly couldn’t really process what we could see. These trees are absolutely huge and tower almost out of eyeshot, it’s hard to even get a full photo of some of these trees.
Like all national parks there is an entrance fee of around $40 but you can get an annual pass for $80 that allows access to all parks - we had this and more than made our money out of it by visiting Yosemite, Bryce, Zion and Sequoia in the same trip!
The initial climb in the car is stunning but be warned there are lots of sharp turns and not all drivers are paying attention to the road, so make sure you’re fully focused on the drive. We had some close encounters! If the snow is very heavy some of the smaller roads are closed off but following the main road enables to you to see most of the parks main features.
If you go during winter make sure you have chains for your cars tyres, they will warn you on entry if it is a day that you need chains - they will let you into the park but there are park rangers at road blocks to turn you around when you get too far! It can ruin your trip as the road block is just before the giant forest, where 5 of the worlds top 10 biggest trees can be found. They will personally check your car has chains correctly fitted or has sufficient four wheel drive / off road ability to clear the path ahead - there were some pretty angry guests on our visit who were turned away for trying to get past without chains!
Most service stations within 50 miles of the entrances sell chains, but be warned they get more and more expensive the closer you get to the park! So don’t get them last minute, get them before you leave or further out along the way.
Overall an absolutely stunning experience that I will never forget, although very eye opening seeing large swathes of destruction from recent forest fires. I guess it really makes you understand how important nature is to us, and just how vulnerable it is right now.

A breathtaking natural sanctuary
#hiddengems
Nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Sequoia National Park is a breathtaking natural sanctuary that captivates visitors with its majestic landscapes. Towering groves of ancient sequoia trees, including the renowned General Sherman Tree, create an awe-inspiring atmosphere.
During my visit with friends, the park's beauty left us speechless; its grandeur surpassed any description. Hiking trails led us through diverse terrain, from lush meadows to rugged peaks, providing a profound connection to nature. The park also boasts stunning vistas, including the panoramic overlooks of Moro Rock and the enchanting Crescent Meadow. As we explored, the serenity and magnitude of Sequoia National Park unfolded, leaving an indelible impression of awe and reverence for the natural wonders preserved within its boundaries.
In 2024, I want to visit Singapore.
Sequoia National Park California does not look at tree shrews
Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon National Park is located in the eastern part of central California, two national parks in the southern Sierra Nevada. Because the two are standing next to each other, they usually visit together, so the National Park Service merges the two parks and uses the common tickets, collectively known as "Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park." The World Natural Heritage Sequoia National Park is the prototype of the mysterious green maolin in the film Avatar. It has the tallest plant in the world and can grow to 350 feet of evergreen virgin forest. The National Park has the largest existing redwood forest in the world, including more than 170 square kilometers in the old forest area over 100 years. Because it is close to the ocean, the climate is mild and humid, creating extremely favorable conditions for the growth of redwoods.
The landscape here is rich and chic, with towering redwoods, magnificent mountains, bright seashores, secluded river valleys, huge rocks, mysterious caves, diverse flora and fauna, and winding trails. Add a lot of color. After the redwood is finished, the top 30 meters are leafy, like a huge umbrella, and there is no side branch below 30 meters. The
fossil record shows that the giant cedar was a Jurassic representative plant from 208 million to 144 million years ago, and was distributed in vast areas of the northern hemisphere. They are now growing in a small area, limited to about 450 square kilometers from the southern tip of Sierra Nevada in California to the Klamath Mountain in southern Oregon.
Redwood grows fast, has a high survival rate, excellent material quality, strong insect and fire resistance, and is recognized as one of the most valuable tree species in the world.
GeneralSherman Tree is the largest tree in the world (Figure 1). The total weight of this giant sequoia is close to 2,000 tons, and the current height is 134 meters. It is the tallest tree ever recorded and is called "General Sherman".
Tickets: Sequoia shares tickets with Kings Canyon National Park and can be purchased using a common credit card. Tickets are valid for 7 days, remember to keep the ticket stubs as proof of re-entry. Ticket prices are 35 for a private car, 20 for a bicycle or pedestrian.
