The big red lanterns are hung high in Tai Wai Restaurant
Tai Wai Restaurant has always been good at beer, and was selected as one of the must-eats in the Michelin Guide 2022. There are only two rounds of dinner at 18:00 or 20:00, and it is basically difficult to have a chance to eat without a reservation.
1️⃣ Char Siu ($188)
The shopkeeper first brushed the char siu with the char siu sauce, then used a torch to grill the outer layer of the char siu until slightly burnt and crispy, then eat it with the deadly crispy rice; the grilled sauce completely penetrated the char siu, the aroma is stronger, and each piece of char siu is very large.
2️⃣ Squid ($208)
This is a famous dish of people on the water, the squid is earth squid and fresh squid, the former is refreshing but not tough, the latter tastes clear but tender, the two squid taste fragrant, mutually brilliant and full of pan.
3️⃣ Raw Dried Bean Curd Chicken Pot ($208)
The chicken pot is selected with Da Twin original sun-dried bean curd, the fragrant bean curd is very fragrant, and not very oily; the chicken pieces are fresh chicken, rich chicken flavor, tender meat, soybean flavor will not cover the fresh chicken flavor, the ingredients are emphasized and high quality.
4️⃣ Golden Sand Squid ($158)
It seems ordinary, but you can taste the chef's care, which is different from the usual salt and pepper/golden squid. The outer layer is super crispy, the meat is super tender and bouncy, the name is actually crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, not tough at all; the salted egg yolk is also very even, not a bite thick or light, recommended.
5️⃣ Ginger Brussels Sauce ($128)
Simple mustard is also seen carefully cooked, mustard has been peeled off the skin, both tender and sweet and crisp, completely no grassy taste, the other ginger juice flavor is also prominent, but not too strong or too spicy.
6️⃣ Sand Pot Shrimp Paste Fried Rice ($188)
If you use a famous car to compare fried rice, this fried rice must be Rolls-Royce, practical and detail-oriented, very rich, fried rice grains distinct, shrimp head paste aroma, shrimp meat crispy and bouncy, with scallions mixed together, oily but not greasy, rich and fresh, good to eat.
Finally, the restaurant served coconut sago dessert and coconut horse bean cake, both desserts were coconut flavorful, this meal was indeed quite satisfying.
