I thought Yubeng was already beautiful, but I was even more amazed by the beauty of Abujicuo...
Recently, I went on a hiking trip to Abujicuo with two friends🧗♂️. Before the trip, we flew from Kunming to Shangri-La✈️, and booked a guide in advance. The cost was RMB 380 per person💰, which included transportation and a simple meal, which was very convenient👍.
On the second day of the trip, the guide picked us up at 6:30 am🕡 at the location we sent in the group chat the night before, and then we headed to Xilianpen Pass🚗. As soon as we got out of the car, we were greeted by a beautiful snowy landscape❄️, as if we were in a world of ice and snow🧊.
We started at the foot of the mountain at 8 am🕗 and returned to Xilianpen Pass at 7 pm🕖, taking 10.5 hours to complete the 28 km journey📏. Our guide was a 60-year-old Tibetan man🧓, who sang Tibetan folk songs🎵 along the way and reminded us to speed up from time to time, which was very interesting😁. We had to climb over mountains⛰️, wade through knee-deep snow, walk through dense forests🌲, cross streams💧, and pass by quiet pastures🐄, climbing from an altitude of 3,000 meters to 4,200 meters to see the fairyland-like Abujicuo🏞️. The lake was frozen, like a tear from a god💧, and the scenery was so beautiful that we were mesmerized😍.
We met many fellow hikers👨👩👧👦 along the way, some fast and some slow. We recommend focusing on the road👣, paying attention to your physical condition, immersing yourself in nature🌳, and overcoming difficulties with a strong will💪.
Here are some practical hiking tips that we hope will help you🤗:
Clothing and gear🧥: A must-have is a windbreaker, paired with quick-drying clothes, thermal underwear, thermal pants, windbreaker pants, and quick-drying pants. Prepare thick socks🧦, comfortable hiking shoes👟, a warm hat🧢, sunglasses that can block the sun and snow👓, warm and practical gloves🧤, and trekking poles to keep warm and protected, making your trip more comfortable😌.
Food and drinks🍫: Bring plenty of snacks like Snickers and beef jerky to replenish your energy, and bring a thermos🥛 to ensure you can drink hot water at any time and keep your energy up🌟.
Electronic devices📱: Bring a power bank to ensure your phone and other devices have enough power to handle emergencies or capture the wonderful moments of your trip📷, leaving you with beautiful memories🥰.
By the way, be sure to keep warm🧣, and those with altitude sickness should act according to their own conditions, slow down when hiking, and avoid rushing🚶♂️ to ensure a safe and smooth trip🙏
