The only downside was the weather; it was overcast and rainy☔️. Weather really does play an important role when going out to have fun~ 🚘Transportation: Day one Nanjing✈️Jieyang🚕Shantou Day two Shantou chartered car tour around Nan'ao Island, circling the island, then off to Chaozhou Day three Chaozhou🚕Jieyang✈️Nanjing 🏨Accommodation: Shantou——Junhua Haiyi Hotel, just a five-minute walk to Longyan South Road, convenient for ordering takeout, with butler service in the hotel, which is quite considerate. However, the hotel is clearly dated, with older facilities. Chaozhou——Tengrui Crown Hotel, quite new, we stayed on the 38th floor with a nice view, the room environment and facilities were great~ The service was okay, not as considerate as the butler service in Shantou. 🎈Fun: Shantou——Strolled around the Little Park and Shantou Travel Agency, quite leisurely, good for taking photos, but the ferry ride back and forth didn't seem very interesting. Shantou is very fun, there’s many different streets nearby. There are many food streets. in the foot streets, there are also different stalls with games and snacks. like tossing the hoops. there’s a zhong shan gong yuan, park with a zoo in it. everything is within walking distance. it’s nice to walk around the park but the zoo is not necessary because the zoo is very smelly.

🏠 Accommodation 1.Yong Ping Hotel stay in a hotel next to the sun yat sen pavilion. walking distance to many touristy spots. sooo much food options nearby as well 🍜 Local Cuisine: there are many good local food. beef noodles soup. marinated goose with rice rice rolls and soy milk for breakfast stir fry for lunch or late night snacks also tea, chopped fruits etc shantou is all about food and eating.

if it’s your first time going to shantou, i recommend you to stay in the old town, where the little garden is. this beef noodles place is in shantou by the yong ping hotel. it’s a 24/7 beef noodles place. so good. bright and clean and spacious. the owner very friendly. always smiling and polite even though we only ordered one small bowl of noodles. the beef very fresh, and beef balls very bouncy and juicy. the soup broth is clean and umami. highly recommend people to go shantou and try their beef noodles.

As someone who often travels to Shantou for business, I finally found a homestay that I like! I checked in on Christmas Eve 🍎 and saw that the hotel had a lot of Christmas 🧑‍🎄 decorations! The Christmas tree 🎄 was especially beautiful!! The owner also gave the kids some Christmas candy and apples! So thoughtful!! this is a cafe in shantou right across the yong ping hotel. everyday there are many people coming here to take cl photos and make contents. on my last day there, i feel like a coffee, so i went in, turned out their coffee smells really good because though there’s only americano and latte. nothing else. but there’s also mulled wine for xmas season, so i tried it instead. love the vibe of the cafe. very calm and relaxing
