Stunning beach sunrise in Shenzhen, China😍
I woke up at 4 am to watch the sun rise at Dameisha beach in Shenzhen, and I do not regret it one bit.
Dameisha beach is one of the largest beaches in Shenzhen, China. It is located on the northern shore of Mirs Bay along the Yantian District coastline and is considered Shenzhen’s longest (length of 1.1 miles) beach.
When I arrived in the morning, it was such an idyllic view: no people or noise (I was so happy to have the whole beach to myself, I started dancing!) Just me and the ocean and the sound of crashing waves. I dug my feet into the sand and waited patiently for the sun to rise. The water was clean, and after the sun came up, I went in for a swim.
I do recommend coming earlier to this beach, as it fills up very quickly with tourists after 8 am. If you struggle with early rising, you can also stay at one of the hotels with private access to the beach! Either way, it is such a stunning view that everyone must see!

Ready to Relax at the beach in Guangdong?
Shenzhen Dameisha beach is a perfect place if in Guangdong and looking for a few days break!
🏨There is plentiful of large resort style hotels to stay. - check out Intercontinental Dameisha for a relaxing stay - with multiple pools indoor and outdoors, plus with beach access!
🍔 There are many eateries around and if you’re looking for some western food, don’t worry Pizza Hut and McDonalds are there!
🌡 When the weathers good in Dameisha, it’s perfect for bathing down by the pool with a glass in hand or playing in the sea.
With beautiful views looking out across to Hong Kong, it’s perfect for a few days break from the big city.
📍Getting there - Take a train to Shenzhen North station and from there take a DiDi or Taxi to direct to Dameisha. The cost was around 80rmb by Didi when I visited.
🛍 Near Pizza Hut there was a mini shopping outlet park, if you’re in need of some branded clothes it’s worth checking it out!

Staycation in Hamptons! ❤️
The May holidays had me singing for 2 straight weeks. After hard work, comes a 2~days off rest day. ❤️ So i booked a 2~nights stay at Hampton by Hilton hotel, Dameisha.
This hotel is said to be the best one on this strip. Considering that it opened just this year (2022), more and more guests are flocking in to check-in the said hotel. With their great service and accomodation, surely people will enjoy their stay. Not to mention, that the hotel's location is really near the Dameisha beach (about136m). Quick accessibility. Just a 6-7minutes walk. What i admire the most is the interior design of the lobby, that high ceiling is eye catching. ❤️ The rooms are spacious and meticulously designed i must say. Overall, the decor is superb!
Room prices differs on which part you want your view is. Either the sea-side view or the mountain view. Prices ranges from 325rmb to 900rmb.

Outer Shenzhen
With a fairly long coastline, one benefit of Shenzhen is how accessible the outskirts can be and how easy it can be to get to the coast.
While beaches are within a subway journey of downtown, you can head a little further afield to Dapeng for something a little different.
A little harder to get to, Dapeng’s beaches tend to be a little quieter, the towns a little more relaxing and the views just a bit more peaceful.
Plus, who can complain when just a stone’s throw from the beach there is a relatively cool temple that you can go wander around in when lazing around isn’t doing it for you anymore.
All-in-all, a decent weekend escape from the city centre.

Most spectacular weekend!
You must stay at this hotel. 30 minutes from the airport. Rent a car from the hotel - only 200 rmb. Worth having your transport waiting for you to take you straight to the hotel. When you arrive you won't trust your surroundings. If you want to go, go in the off season - we went the week before the October holiday for China, and no one was there. Maybe 8 people in the pool when we were there every day! Great pool, best breakfast area and so much choice. Great executive lounge! Must be friends with Leon. He pays attention to everything and pays attention to small details. He made our visit to the lounge even better.
The room we stayed in - perfect. The boardwalk is so much fun!

Ocean Front Hotel at DongChong Beach
We had the most relaxing time visiting Dongchong beach in Shenzhen. Summer is the best time to go because the water is warm yet refreshing. We stayed at Holdfound Hotel, which is the only beach front hotel on Dongchong beach. It was an amazing experience waking up at 5:30am with this view (second picture). The beach is open from 8am-8pm, so there was no chance of an early morning walk on the beach. but our daily swims were refreshing. The beach gets quite busy in the evening, but it’s perfect in the morning and midday. There are a few delicious restaurants located nearby that offer many fresh seafood dishes as well as traditional Cantonese dishes. We visited the milk tea shop that’s located right on the beach everyday of our stay. If you enjoy water sports, there are surfing lessons, boat outings, kayaks, and parasailing! There are also many shops that sell swimsuits, inner tubes and floaties, and other beach items. We took a taxi from Huizhou South Railway for about 1.5 hours and about 250RMB. You can also do this from Shenzhen Pingshan Railway (for slightly cheaper) or take the bus.

Dapeng Getaway pt. 1: Jiaochangwei
We booked a cozy little Inn sitting on the beachfront. Nice ambiance. Front desk people are really friendly and helpful. Surrounded the Inn are all small shops and restaurants. More choices what to eat. The ice cream and crepe corner is to die for 😋😋😋. The beach itself is OK. Water is not too inviting as we see other beaches here in Shenzhen and Huizhou. But the area is very alive. Busy with water sports. And the board walk is nice. Nevertheless, we enjoyed hearing the waves and the scenery of course. Still a relaxing time we'll spent. #beaches #getaway #summervacationtravel
