Ancient Town of Si Thep, newest Unesco
Ancient Town of Si Thep just is announced to be cultural world heritage from Unesco on 19 September 2023 Named" The Ancient Town of Si Thep and its Associated Dvaravati Monuments"
This ancient town is located on Si thep, Phetchaboon province. This area has evidence that people live before historical age. We found the skeleton of elephant and women.
The park has the car and guide tours to bring you inside and tell you about the history. The guide tours are all good. So impressive.
The first building, they brought you, has shown the skeleton of women and elephant. So this tells that this skeleton is about 1,700 years old.
The second one they brought you to are 3 pagodas from Hindu and Bhuddist on Thawarawadee period.
There are the pray day fro Si thep on February every years.

The Historical Park of UNESCO visiting.
Ancient Historical Park
#thailandtrip Interesting ancient historical park. Huge pagodas on site. Remains of an old civilization and what is still left to dig out. The visit is very pleasant on a tram where a guide is explaining the site (in Thai). Sri Theb historic place is one of my most attractive location in Lopburi. It's a miracle story between bhudist and hindi belief assimilation to the community. Historian think it is an existing center of Dhavaravadhi kingdom approx. 1,000 years before.
2,000 Years Old District : Si Thep
Have you ever wondered how construction and architecture were carried out 2,000 years ago?
Recently, we had the opportunity to explore Si Thep District in Petchabun, Thailand, where the national park is located. Si Thep District has been designated as Thailand's latest World Heritage Site and is also known as Thailand's largest ancient city.
It's truly astonishing to contemplate how ancient people managed to construct such a massive city. The entire district spans approximately 866 hectares, which leaves us even more impressed. Despite the passage of 2000 years, the buildings and sculptures have endured remarkably well, making them even more precious from a historical perspective.
To explore the site, we utilized the shuttle service provided, affording us peaceful and enjoyable moments amidst the remnants of this ancient city and the surrounding natural beauty.
