📌 Tips
Rent a scooter or ATV – Skiathos is hilly, and many beaches are a short ride away from town. It’s more flexible (and cheaper) than taxis.
Use water taxis from Skiathos Town to popular beaches like Koukounaries, Achladies, and Lalaria — scenic and avoids traffic.
The local bus runs regularly along the south coast from the port to Koukounaries, stopping near many beaches.
Go early if you want front-row sunbeds, especially at Koukounaries or Lalaria boat trips — they fill fast.
Bring water shoes if you plan to swim at Lalaria Beach — the pebbles are smooth but can be hard on bare feet. If you want a quieter experience, target beaches like Mandraki or Agia Eleni.
