This is an overwhelming waterfall with a width of 25m and a drop of 60m, and is one of the largest and most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland.
I was speechless at its dynamism and power.
It's a shame that you can't get very close in the winter when there is snow, probably because it's dangerous. If you get too close, the water spray is amazing. The road to the waterfall is also covered in frozen snow and is slippery, so I recommend wearing studded shoes.
The hill next to the waterfall was also covered in snow, and the morning sun shone on it, creating a very beautiful view.

Coming from a tropical country, embarking on a hike to Solheimajokull Glacier in Iceland was a surreal, once in a lifetime experience. The stark contrast between the warm, humid climate we're used to and the icy, glacial landscape of Iceland was breathtaking from the moment we arrived. Towering, jagged ice formations stretched out before us, a brilliant blue hue shimmering under the crisp, cold air.
The hike itself was thrilling and challenging. Equipped with crampons and guided by an experienced leader, we carefully traverse by the icy surface, learning about the glacier's formation and the effect of climate change on this incredible landscape. The sensation of walking on ice, something so foreign to those from tropical climates, was both exciting and humbling. The pristine beauty of the glacier, set against the backdrop of volcanic ash and rugged terrain, made every step unforgettable.
Reaching a high point on the glacier, the panoramic views were stunning, offering sense of isolation and peace, far removed from the bustling heat at home. The Solheimajokull Glacier hike was not just an adventure but a deeply immersive experience, leaving us in awe of the natural world and the dramatic beauty of Iceland icy wilderness. This is highly recommended for those seeking something truly extraordinary!

Iceland | Petta Reddast
| Petta Reddast. Iceland | Petta Reddast
The main experience is four words: gale + heavy rain, I understood the Icelandic phrase petta Reddast-'everything will be fine', because the road was blocked by strong wind and I heard that a bus was overturned, I was trapped in front of Seljalandsfoss waterfall and couldn't go to the next accommodation place, I realized that many things here are unpredictable, after waiting for six hours, the road is open!!! Even if all the plans for today are disrupted and the sights I want to go to are not finished, I am still very happy! Looking forward to the next journey, I hope the weather gets better.
Isn't anyone going to Iceland from December to February? The average cost is over 9k per person
💐Ladies! Look at the aurora
👀Don't just go to Norway and Finland, Iceland, as a country where you can see the aurora across the whole territory, is really great! Known as the end of the world, Iceland is simply a leisure resort for friends from the UK, Germany and other major European countries🙋Every year, a large number of Chinese people also go there, and the groups in July and August this year have been contracted by friends from all over the world😭December and January will also usher in a small peak of tourism, the snowy Iceland with Christmas decorations is really beautiful😭

💯I really recommend everyone to join a group tour without stepping into any pitfalls
👇There are many good local groups in Iceland, and we had a great time with the local group we joined, mainly because it was reliable
💗To sum up my personal feelings: I think the local group we joined this time was very cost-effective, and the average cost for a few of us was just over 9k, including accommodation, transportation, and tour guide. If you need, you can ask me for recommendations👍

1⃣️Seljalandsfoss waterfall
There are raincoats for sale at the parking lot🅿️location, those who want to walk behind the waterfall must buy one❗️
2⃣️Skógafoss waterfall
After finally drying off at the previous waterfall, we got soaked again here. We wanted to get close to the waterfall to take pictures but ended up in a downpour⛈️
Fortunately, we saw a double rainbow🌈and the fatigue disappeared
3⃣️Plane wreckage✈️
When you walk in, you will see a huge plane wreckage standing alone on the dark beach, coupled with the gloomy weather, it's a great photo opportunity📷
5⃣️Black sand beach
How to describe the black sand beach at 11 o'clock at night? Quiet, mysterious, engulfing, depressing, it makes you feel awe, and you dare not get close to the waves when taking pictures on the shore🌊
The loneliness at the end of the world hits you, it's a different kind of beauty🖤

Iceland | Experience the ultimate sense of solitude
Experience the ultimate sense of solitude. The journey in Iceland is already halfway through, let's rewind the itinerary of the past two days from the end to the beginning.
Overcast skies are not beautiful, but they're not bad either, because it's precisely the cloudy weather that brings out the feeling of being at the end of the world in Iceland. No matter the weather, it has its charm.
Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach - The waves, as if alive, rush onto the black sand beach regardless of anything, eventually dissipating into white foam. A sense of fate, here it comes.
I thought by the end of February it would be summer, but upon arrival, I found that most areas are still in winter. One can imagine how vibrant the summer here must be.
Skogafoss Waterfall - It's stunning. The grandeur of the waterfall and the scattered spray are overwhelming. Humans are so insignificant in front of nature.
Climbing over 500 steps to the top of the waterfall, the misty mountains are shrouded, like a fairyland.
Believe me, the view from the top is really worth the effort.
Seljalandsfoss and Gljufrabui Waterfalls - One can go behind the waterfall for a full view, the other requires stepping on stones in a stream to enter a crevice to see it.
The experience of viewing both waterfalls is quite good, but be sure to have full waterproof protection!
Gullfoss Waterfall - Already dressed in its winter attire, the wind at Gullfoss is strong. The weather was better on the first day, and it was very photogenic.
Thingvellir National Park - A place that has witnessed the history of Iceland. The scenery is pretty good, and there's a small waterfall.
Haukadalur Geysir - The geothermal water eruption is still quite magical. The intervals between eruptions are not so regular, and everyone silently holds their phones by the spring, like devout believers, just to capture the moment of eruption.
The adorable Icelandic horses, with their long hair and very gentle nature, must say these three have been well-fed by tourists.
The two days with the Nice travel group were quite happy. Apart from the black sand beach where the guide followed to ensure everyone's safety, for other itineraries, after explaining the precautions and setting the meeting time, everyone was free to move around.
Alright, the running account ends here. Looking forward to tomorrow's glacier hiking and the ice cave.
Skógafoss Waterfall 🇮🇸
#timetotravel
Skógafoss Waterfall in Iceland is a majestic force of nature that left me spellbound. Located along the southern coast, this towering cascade is a testament to the country's breathtaking beauty.
Approaching Skógafoss, the thundering sound of water becomes more intense, and the mist in the air adds to the enchantment. The sight of the waterfall is awe-inspiring, as it plunges dramatically from a height of 60 meters (197 feet) into a serene pool below. I felt like I was in a fairytale.
The best part? You can climb a steep staircase alongside the waterfall to witness the roaring waters from above and take in a panoramic view of the Icelandic landscape. Skógafoss is an absolute must-visit for anyone exploring this captivating island, and it's a memory I'll cherish forever. #iceland
The land of Water & Fire.
With countries easing their border control, try to visit Iceland, one of the most interesting island on the North Atlantic ocean, try to visit during July where the day light are much longer, and lots of wild lupins.
Iceland's largest waterfall, Skogafoss.
Skogafoss waterfall is 30 kilometers from Seljalandsfoss, and it only takes about 25 minutes to drive from Seljalandsfoss. People often visit Skogafoss waterfall after visiting Seljalandsfoss, which is not far away. Both waterfalls fall from cliffs at the same height, and compared to the more famous Seljalandsfoss, Skogafoss waterfall is actually larger. The waterfall is about a 2-hour drive from Reykjavik and about a 30-minute drive from the town of Vik. Moreover, the location is extremely convenient, and the waterfall can be clearly seen from Route 1. As a must-visit attraction in Iceland, Skogafoss waterfall is one of the largest and most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland, with a height of over 60 meters. It has appeared in various films and TV shows, such as "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," "Thor: The Dark World," and "Game of Thrones."
The amount of water in the waterfall is very large, which means it can produce rainbow mist and there is a chance to take beautiful photos. The ground below the waterfall is flat, allowing visitors to walk into the bottom of the water curtain and appreciate the waterfall up close. The water curtain stirs up layers of water splashes, and the chance of seeing a rainbow here is very high. Many people in China call it the Rainbow Waterfall. The ground below the waterfall is very flat, and tourists can walk directly to the water wall. Although this will make you completely soaked, almost no one can resist the temptation of Skogafoss waterfall. A steep staircase leads to the observation platform above the waterfall, where many nesting seabirds can be seen along the way. The river below Skogafoss waterfall has a large number of salmon, making it a favorite place for fishermen in summer. On the east side of Skogafoss waterfall, there is one of Iceland's most famous hiking trails: the Fimmvorduhals Pass, a 22-kilometer trail between two glaciers (M rdalsj kull Glacier and Eyjafjallaj kull Glacier), along the Skoga River, and finally reaching the beautiful valley of Thorsmork.
Iceland’ biggest waterfall and beautiful hike
#gohiking#skogafalls #skógafoss #waterfallhike
Skógafoss is one of Iceland's biggest and most beautiful waterfalls with an astounding width of 25 meters (82 feet) and a drop of 60 meters (197 feet).
it is worth it at least to climb the steps to get a view from a different perspective, and from our own experience, it is worth it to do the Waterfall Way hike for at least an hour or an hour and a half. We spent at Skogafoss approximately two and a half hours and did not regret it.
amazing views behind the waterfall

Iceland is a must go country In the Nordic region. if you love waterfall, northern light, hot spring... then it’s a good choice for you. And finally if you don’t like the climate, then just wait for five minutes😅
Skoga Falls, Iceland: The most beautiful aurora shooting point
This is one of Iceland's largest and most magnificent waterfalls, 25 meters wide water flow from the top of the mountain, provoke a huge noise and water, making the surrounding clouds Embarrassed.
During the day, you can often see the rainbow in the sun, and the cloudy sky is also suitable for taking pictures. On a clear night, you must not miss the moment to wait for the aurora. When the aurora erupts, the fascinating elves, together with the magnificent waterfalls, are definitely one of the best places for Iceland in winter.
Before I entered the waterfall, I saw a faint rainbow
Skoga Falls. Because of the large amount of water mist, as long as the weather is bright and the probability of seeing the rainbow is extremely high, we are very fortunate to see one big and one small. Double Rainbow

feel close to the waterfall The natural force of the deafening, the river poured down again, the water vapor was blown away by the demon wind, but it made the area more mysterious water mist
Skoga Falls was once the coastline of Iceland. It is located on the cliff on the Skg River coastline in Skoga, but since the coastline has receded 5 km, the highlands of the cliff have become the dividing line between the low-lying areas of Iceland and the mainland highlands.

Half an hour drive from Seri Yalan Falls to Skoga Falls, just off Highway 1. It is also very popular. Basically, the tourists you meet at Seri Yalan Falls can meet here. The waterfall is 60 meters wide and 25 meters high. It is known as one of the largest and most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland (apparently not in China). There is a legend about Skogafoss: a Viking who hid the treasure behind the Skoga Falls and has not yet been discovered. It is said that if you are lucky, you can still see the double rainbow!
Although the Skoga Falls are the same height as the Seri Yalan Falls, the amount of water is significantly larger. You can hear the huge roar of the waterfall and the steaming. If you want to go to the foot of the waterfall, pay attention to the camera waterproof, it is best to wear a raincoat. Another feature of the
Skoga Falls is that you can follow the path to the top of the waterfall and see the waterfall rushing down. As the water in the upper reaches blew down, the birds nested on the edge of the cliff, and life was small but stubborn in the face of nature.
