Long Sault Parkway Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
This is truly a must-see attraction in Kingston
A must-see attraction in Kingston — Long Sault Parkway, I highly recommend this place.❤ It is composed of 11 islands connected by a road (the entire road is about 11 kilometers long), each island is actually a campsite/park, almost no cars on each island, very quiet.❤
【⁉️How to play in Long Sault Parkway?⁉️】
1️⃣Every summer attracts many people to come here⛺ tent camping🏕️ or RV camping🏕️.【The campsite needs to be booked in advance, after the reservation is successful, the campsite you booked basically belongs to you, the campsite🏕️ is private, tourists generally do not go in (basically no one will go in).】
2️⃣In addition to the campsite, because there are as many as 11 islands here, there are also large and small public parks.
In the park, you can see many people gathering (family gatherings, friend gatherings, etc., especially many with children, because the park here is suitable for people of all ages.🤪)
Not only does the park have children's entertainment facilities, but it also has a lot of seats and tables. You can bring delicious food here for a picnic, wild cooking and barbecue, etc.
3️⃣Water sports (such as boating🚣🏻), many people will bring their own Kayak (kayak) to row, of course, besides bringing their own, there are various boats for rent next to it. (I rented it, about 15 CAD/hour)
I highly recommend playing Kayak here, boating🚣🏻 in the St. Lawrence River, the feeling of being in the water is so comfortable!🥰
4️⃣There is also a very suitable place to watch the sunset🌇【Best sunset viewing point: Navigate to Mille Roches beach, don't go in when you arrive, continue to drive forward (upstream, the park is on the right) for about a few hundred meters, there is a small hill on the left, which is the best sunset viewing point🌇.】‼️Because this point has no place name, so I can only mark it for everyone at the nearest landmark (that is, Mille Roches beach)😭‼️
【🚘⁉️How to get to Long Sault Parkway?】
1️⃣Self-driving (recommended self-driving)
2️⃣Cycling (one-way 11 kilometers cycling, I think it is acceptable. I drove by myself, but I saw many people cycling.)
⚠️Finally: It's really really comfortable in Long Sault Parkway, enjoying the tranquility brought by nature in Lake Ontario, the feeling of being away from the city is too good. This place is very suitable for individuals, I think it is not too much to call it a paradise🌸.⚠️
