I liked that the food felt hearty without being overly heavy. The grilled skewers were simple but well-seasoned, making them a great addition to the meal. If you enjoy Japanese food and are around Subang or SS15, this place is worth saving for your next food trip. It is one of those spots that quietly wins you over after the first visit.

Flew Scoot TR474 from Singapore to Subang, and it was my first time using Subang Airport instead of the usual KLIA. One thing that immediately stood out is how much closer Subang is to the Kuala Lumpur city centre, which helps avoid the long drive and frequent traffic jams when travelling from KLIA. This small island Pulau Rawa hidden in Johor, Malaysia, has no traffic lights and no trendy check-in spots, but it holds so many moments that make you want to stay forever!! Pulau Rawa is free from the noise of overdevelopment, like a sapphire forgotten by the world🤨🤨🤨🤨 🚢Transportation: You can drive from Kuala Lumpur or Johor Bahru to Mersing Jetty, where there are boats directly to Pulau Rawa. It takes about 30 minutes to get there, 💰one way 35 🐎 😅🥹🥹🥹 ⛱️One side of Pulau Rawa is covered with white sandy beaches, while the other side has a vertical rocky cliff with many marine creatures. The sand on Main Beach is as fine as baby powder, walking barefoot is completely comfortable. I arrived early to Subang airport just before the rain. The journey from Bukit Bintang to Subang airport took about 45 minutes and I had completed my online check in. So I had time before my boarding commenced. This time I tried out the other restaurants at Subang airport and ate local food at Kapitan Kopitam. There are many choices here in a small airport and both arrival and departure hall are on the same level. About 1 hour ish later, I have arrived at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah airport which was formerly known as Subang airport. This is also a smaller airport compared to KLIA and all passengers will have to climb a few stairs to exit the plane. Then walk over to the immigration which has 3 manual counters. There are no auto counters here but there are Duty Free shopping available. Once you exit the security area, you can access the shopping and dining area and proceed to take taxi or private hire. The public train at Subang Skypark which cost 11 ringgit one way to KL Sentral had stopped operating. A private hire ride to KL Sentral will cost about 29 to 30 ringgit and you will need to pay tolls which is around 5.30 ringgit depending on the hours. #kualalumpur #malaysia #liveyourdreams #takethattrip

THE RESTAURANT IS FAMOUS FOR THEIR SIGNATURE SMOKED CHICKEN, SMOKED BEEF AND SMOKED DUCK COOKED IN SPICY COCONUT GRAVY (MASAK LEMAK CILI API). THE DISH ORIGINATES FROM NEGERI SEMBILAN, A STATE IN MALAYSIA. WE HAD THE SMOKED CHICKEN AND MUD CREEPER; A TYPE OF SEA SNAIL (SIPUT SEDUT) WITH WHITE RICE, SAMBAL, DRIED FISH AND ULAM. THE GRAVY AND THE SAMBAL WERE SPICY BUT THEY ADDED THE KICK ESPECIALLY WHEN WE COMBINED THE ULAM TO THE RICE. The bed was comfortably firm, though the pillows were overly soft for my preference. One minor inconvenience was the disconnected lights, requiring me to manually switch off each one at night. The location is superb, just a short 15-minute drive from Subang Airport, and it’s directly connected to Starling Mall on the hotel’s Level 3. Plenty of food options are available within walking distance. The lobby is on Level 6, where the swimming pool and gym are also located. The outdoor pool is a decent size and open from 8 AM to 9 PM, though no staff were present. The standout here is the excellent service, particularly from the team on the ground floor.
