Łańcut Castle Museum
The castle in Łańcut, built in the 17th century, is one of the most beautiful aristocratic residences in Poland. It is famous for its excellent residential interiors and an interesting collection of horse-drawn vehicles. The palace complex is surrounded by an old, picturesque English-style Castle Park, with numerous pavilions and outbuildings.
When visiting the Łańcut Castle with children, we can show them the original castle interiors - including former residential interiors (bedrooms, bathrooms) and representative interiors: the Ballroom and the Theatre. Here they will feel like real princesses and princes!
Children will be delighted with the beautiful palace interiors, but there are also other attractions waiting for them, e.g. interactive and multimedia exhibitions with games and activities in the newly opened Tradition Education Center named after Jan Potocki, located in the buildings of the Orangery and the Riding School.

Open-air museum in Kolbuszowa
The open-air museum in Kolbuszowa is a vast and diverse ethnographic park. Here we can take a walk between peasant farms, look inside cottages, outbuildings, a mill, a country inn, a shop or a fire station.
The area of the open-air museum is divided into two sectors: Lasowiacy and Rzeszów. Before we get to them, let's take a look at the museum exhibition in the first building, right next to the entrance to the open-air museum. In the showcases, we will see selected exhibits and read interesting descriptions about the life of the inhabitants of the surrounding villages, local traditions and culture.
Museum of Folk Culture in Kolbuszowa, museum exhibition
The forest sector includes picturesque manor from Brzeziny - the oldest building in the open-air museum! In the manor garden, be sure to pay attention to the unusual hive, or rather the entire apiary in one building.
In addition, the Lesowiacki sector is also a mill, a smithy, windmills, beehives and chapels, a school, a presbytery and a wooden church of St. Marek: he greets us with an interesting building of a Jewish inn, with Hersz Zellerkraut's shop and inn inside.
When visiting the open-air museum in Kolbuszowa, be sure to look inside the cottages! Although we can rarely go inside, we can also see a lot through open doors and windows!
Equally interesting as the living rooms are the interior of the mill, shop, inn and numerous craftsmen's workshops, here, for example, the workshop of the creator of wooden toys.
If you are going to the ethnographic park in Kolbuszowa with children, be sure to ask at the ticket office about field games! Several themes and difficulty levels of tasks are prepared: "Around Maciej" (for preschoolers) and "Big trouble, a hut with holes in the rain" (pictured) and "A piece of bread will not fall from the sky..." - for school children ... and adults!
Although there are no prizes, diplomas, etc., the map with riddles organizes our sightseeing in a way, is an interesting entertainment for the whole family and at the same time a souvenir from a visit to the open-air museum.

The stables and the coach house in Łańcut
The stables and the coach house are part of the Łańcut Castle Museum. It is a unique place, full of splendor and luxury. A real "horse palace" created by the magnate Potocki family for their beloved horses.
The stables and the coach house are a must-see during a visit to Łańcut. The interiors of the castle are beautiful, but there are many castles and palaces, and such stables and coach houses are unique in the world!
The hosts of the Łańcut Castle loved their horses and created a real "horse palace" for them: stables with all comforts, decorated with portraits of their beloved horses painted by the most outstanding masters.
Here we will see luxurious boxes of magnate mounts. From the stables, we will go to the great Harness Hall decorated with trophies from the safari, which the host of the Castle in Łańcut went to in the 1920s. In the side rooms of the hall there is a luxurious study and two coach houses with a unique collection of carriages: both those used by the owners of the castle and those purchased by the museum after World War II.
An additional attraction for visitors to the stables and coach houses in Łańcut is the opportunity to go for a ride in a historic carriage. This pleasure is paid extra.
