Affordable Designer Hotel in Tokyo: ONE@Tokyo
Located in Sumida, Tokyo, ONE@Tokyo is just a 5-minute walk from Oshiage Station. This hotel, overseen by renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, blends industrial style with warm wooden materials, offering a unique design experience. I booked a standard small double room (Studio type) for three nights, including two weekend nights, averaging over 600 per night, which is a great deal in Tokyo! The space is compact but efficiently utilized, accommodating a 24-inch and a 20-inch suitcase without much issue. The room is well-equipped with a mini-fridge, electric kettle, and a large mirror. The rooftop garden is a highlight, offering stunning views both day and night. Nearby, the TOKYO Solamachi (Skytree Mall) is just a 5-minute walk away. The mall spans 10 floors with a variety of clothing, miscellaneous goods, anime merchandise, souvenirs, desserts, and food. It's larger than expected, and even those who aren't fond of exercise might find themselves spending more time exploring than anticipated. Must-visit shops include "Acorn Republic" on the 2nd floor for Ghibli fans, "Loft" on the 3rd floor for stationery lovers, and the 4th floor for anime enthusiasts with stores like Pokemon Center and Sanrio. Don't miss the Kirby Café on the 4th floor, but remember to book in advance. #TokyoTravel #TokyoHotels #TokyoSkytree
