Fuji Safari Park
The bus timetable from Gotemba Station to the Fuji Safari Park is not readily available so it makes my planning there haywire. We wasted 1.5hrs at the Gotemba Station waiting for the next bus.
They should have the bus timetable updated in the website.
My daughter and I were looking forward to the park for months only to be spoilt by the rain. When it rains, there isnt much to do except to ride in the jungle bus.
Note that many advise to do the self drive option, but u are NOT ALLOWED to drive the navigation car if u DO NOT SPEAK/UNDERSTAND japanese.
Ensure that you have an international license cert with you. However if u rent a car outside (Eg. from Gotemba station area) then u are allowed to drive in. I have no idea what are the difference. So we were crushed when we could do the self drive option.
Due to the rain, we only managed to get onto the jungle bus and spent time in the house of cats and rabbits.
Even the animals around the walking safari route were kept away. So basically we didnt get to see much animals.
Ultimate disappointment.

#Mt. Fuji/Skii
Snow Town Yeti is a small ski resort on the southern slope of Mount Fuji. It is notable as one of only two ski resorts found on Mount Fuji (the other is Fujiten) and because it is one of the first snow resorts in Japan to open each season (around mid to late October with man-made snow).
Yeti is a very small resort, consisting of three lifts and four runs along the base of Mount Fuji. It opens in mid to late October, albeit with artificial snow, making it the first ski resort to open in Japan each season.

Yeti is located in Susono, a city found in Shizuoka Prefecture, and the resort is being operated by Fujikyu Group's PICA Resort, which is in charge of the group's transport, leisure, and hotel business in and around Yamanashi and Shizuoka. PICA Resort has a number of camp sites and outdoor facilities as well, all designed to accommodate tourists who want to make the most of their winter adventure in Japan.
With such a pedigree, you can be absolutely confident that Yeti is perfectly equipped to welcome enthusiasts who want to ski before the winter season begins in earnest, or anyone at all who has a passing interest in wintertime activities!
The only way to enjoy skiing or snowboarding earlier than usual in Japan is to visit Yeti, and this fact undoubtedly contributes to their popularity.
Explore Shizuoka Prefecture and discover Japan's hidden gems.

Kids’ day out @ Fuji Safari Park, Tokyo 🇯🇵
#thingstodo
When visiting Shizuoka Prefecture near Tokyo, Japan, a visit to Fuji Safari Park is a must for kids!
The park is huge and offers a variety of large herbivores, bears, and lions in the park’s Safari Zone, which visitors can drive through in their own car or take a park bus tour through to view them up close in an environment close to their natural habitat.
Kids really enjoyed themselves, highly recommended!
My rating: 4 ⭐️ out of 5!

Easy to get to via public transport and easy to navigate as an English tourist. Buses are frequent from train station and timetable is very clear. It opens at 10 however many of the enclosures/extras do not open 11 so we wandered around looking at the porcupines, hippos, leopards before going on safari tour where you could feed the bears, lions and camels. This sells out very quickly so getting there for when it opens is a must if you want to do this, purchase tickets at gate when you enter. Food options are good, and obvious again if you don’t speak Japanese although I have noticed while holidaying here, if you choose tofu ramen it does not mean the soup broth is vegetarian. The food place opposite the house of dogs offers ‘make your own bread’ which looked brilliant if open. Options to pay and buy food to feed the animals intent main walk around but were good for only ¥100 per pot, tongs wee provides ans there was plenty of hand washing facilities and anti bac spray. Note it is on the side of a mountain and is a bit hilly in parts. Brilliant day out!!
Fuji Safari Park
This park is a spacious, interactive zoo where animals roam free, located near Mt. Fuji. You can observe and interact with animals directly with Japan's most symbolic mountain in the background. Visit this safari park with family and friends for an unforgettable day of fun and learning.
There are striking Jungle Buses designed in the shape of animal heads, like tigers and lions. These vehicles are great for those traveling with children.
There is also a Super Jungle Bus, which we highly recommend riding. This bus is equipped with a steel mesh that covers the vehicle's sides and ceiling, which makes it possible for visitors to watch animals clamber over the bus and feed them yourself.
In 2024, I want to go to Mt. Fuji.

Amazing & Fun at Fuji safari park
#fallishere
A great place to go if you are an animal lover.
You can go into the safari with your own car or use normal bus with fence on the window. Since the tickets are first come first serve, I suggest to come here early and book a bus first before doing anything else.
If possible I recommend taking the bus since you can feed the animals whereas if you're on your own car you can't.
There are other areas include an area where you can feed all kinds of animals.
The staff at Fuji Safari Park were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Their warm hospitality added to the overall enjoyment of my visit.
We spent 4 hours here and the kids super love and enjoyed the park.
