The best way to reach Sylhet is to fly from the capital, Dhaka. They have a couple of flights daily, and if you are brave enough, you can take a train or boat. I chose to fly considering the limited time I had for this trip. Uber is best for hiring cars and motorcycles if you are traveling alone. Wander around the tea hills and street market. As we all know, Bangladeshi cities are not for the faint-hearted. Experience bustling streets filled with little mosques, street vendors, and rusted rickshaws. With the limited time and continuous rain, I could not visit the tea hills but managed to Uber a motorbike to visit the main market area. I could not find a mall with international brands, but there are a few supermarkets with local goodies and clothes at a cheaper price.

We stayed at hotel Noor Jahan in sylhet for a few days on our return back to England. This 4* hotel is in the heart of sylhet. A stones throw away for dhorga (Hazrat Shah Jalal Masjid, and a few minutes walk to all the malls and bazaars in sylhet. From the reception to the check out everything was smooth and pretty fast. The rooms were well equipped and spacious. The gym was a good size and the breakfast was fresh but similar items every day. Over all a definite 4* stay. Thank you
