COFFEE HEAVEN
Coffee lovers! Nice coffee museum located in Gangneung. It’s not far from the beach maybe a 15 minute walk from the beach. It’s a cafe/museum/class in one place. I went there to look at the museum and have a cup of coffee. The only place I’ve found to offer “hard to find” beans in Korea such as Kona Hawaii and Blue Mountain. There is also a shop and you can buy coffee trees. If you don’t go to the museum having a cup of coffee is worth the trip just to sit in the cafe. #gangneung #beach #coffee #Coffeemuseum #coffeelover #coffeetourism #coffeetrip #coffeefan
Coffee & Mountain View❓Hell Yes 🧡
On a fall weekend getaway in Zhinan, the one and only coffee shop of the village was so lovely 🍁 It’s at the very beginning of the village and is beautifully decorated with maple leaves in and out! The outdoor seats have a gorgeous view on the mountains ⛰️ It’s also a small business shop where you can buy tea, cute notebooks and a bunch of handmade products such as jewellery, Chinese fans, scarfs etc… Most of the souvenirs are Maple leaf themed with surprisingly, very affordable prices. I bought a handmade Chinese fan, a ring and a pair of earrings for 148¥.
There’s coffee and tea with prices ranging from 20 -38¥. I had the wind leaf latte while my friend had the americano in the morning and white tea in the afternoon. They were all good 😊 The shop owners were so friendly and welcoming 🧡 Highly recommended checking it out!

Osmanthus Latte: A Must Try in Autumn 🍁🍂☕️
One of my autumn favourites in China is Osmanthus Latte! ☕️ Osmanthus has a delicate sweet smell and taste. Hangzhou is also popular for Osmanthus which can be spotted pretty much everywhere in the city 🧡
I had mine at Emoment Café where you can sit and enjoy your cup of coffee indoors or outdoors. It’s located along a historical and cultural road a few blocks away from Xiangji Temple. They have the typical coffee choices and a bunch of flavoured ones. My Osmanthus latte with oat milk was 36¥ after the shop prompted me to use a coupon on WeChat. The ambiance was nice and calm.
Address ➡️ Emoment Cafe, 杭一未
Dadou Road, 大兜路
How to go ➡️ Nearest 🚇 is Xiangji Temple, 香积寺on line 3。The coffee shop is about 10 mins walk away.

View Cafe: A view on Fall in Hangzhou 🍁🍂☕️
As the name hints, the view from this café is what makes it the perfect for sipping coffee while admiring the beauty of fall from above, tucked on one of the hilly roads around West Lake. We were desperate for coffee and ended up there after a 15-20 mins walk from Manjuelong. The ambiance is quiet and peaceful 🌿. It wasn’t the cheapest coffee ever as you’re defo paying for the ambiance and the view. My oat latte was 68¥ and my friend’s coffee topped with a scoop of ice cream was 50¥ which are rather pricey! Nevertheless, we were not disappointed with the taste! It’s a lovely place to spend a lovely afternoon away from the downtown crowd ☺️
Address ➡️ View Cafe

How to go ➡️ We walked from Manjuelong village 满觉陇村 as it was walking distance, but going by taxi 🚕 is probably the most convenient.

Rusty Lake Coffee Grab near Hefang Street ☕️
I needed a quick coffee grab and stumbled upon Rusty Lake not too far from the south entrance of Hefang Pedestrian Street. It’s a small coffee shop with a colourful cartoon vibe and very few indoor and outdoor seats. I ordered an iced Osmanthus oat latte which was 28¥. The coffee was good and not too sweet 😄 It’s a good place for a quick coffee grab on your way to the pedestrian street.

Great Barista coffee in Shaoxing ☕
Corner Coffee is a little artsy coffee shop along Cangqiao Straight Street. There are a few seats inside and a bunch of clothes, shoes, bags and hats on sale. The barista is accommodating and speaks English. After walking in the rain for a long time, I badly wanted a hot cup of coffee and some rest in a quiet environment away from the crowds flocking the street. I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk which was perfect 👍🏼 Freshly made & not too sweet😌 They have other choices: Coconut latte, Hazelnut latte and the typical coffee choices. Prices are very decent. Mine was 33¥ ( 28¥ for a vanilla latte + 5¥ for oat milk)
Address ➡️Corner Coffee, 犄角咖啡

How to go ➡️ It’s a pedestrian street, so if you’re taking a 🚕, it’ll probably drop you somewhere nearby.

Bar & Café spot near Central Park, Suzhou
I was on a staycation at a hotel nearby and found this place on dianping. Uaya bar & café is a nice place with a small indoor space and a slightly bigger outdoor space for chilling. They have a selection of coffee, cakes and some foods like quesadillas, pasta for an easy lunch or quick bite. They have a variety of cheesecake which were unfortunately sold out when I went. The lady there recommended me one of their bestsellers. I chose the litchi flavoured one. The cake was a good rec! It was dense, filling and not too sweet! My oat latte was quite bitter, but still a good drink. They have a decent selection which I’ve never seen anywhere else e.g. peanut latte, choco mint latte… etc
Average price for a cake and a coffee ~ 60-65¥

Indie Coffee Shop near Wushan Square ☕️
I was drowsy and desperate for coffee. I was strolling in the streets nearby to find a coffee shop when I spotted Imagine Casa. I walked closer and peeked through the glass window. I was so happy to find a coffee shop that I rushed inside and ordered an iced latte! It seems to have a few options if you can’t take dairy. I ordered a latte with oat milk, but also spotted coconut milk latte on the menu!
There’s a small sitting space facing the barista where you can sit while waiting for your coffee. They also bring you a glass of water 💦 which is more than welcome in this unbearable heat 🥵 It also has a little sitting space for a small group of people upstairs. The decor is minimalist with grey and black aesthetics.
My iced latte with oat milk was 42¥ which is rather pricey, but it was good coffee ☕️ and not too far from Wushan Square metro Station exit C. It was about a 5-10 mins walk.

M2 Coffee: Great spot for coffee & bakeries!
I was craving for coffee while being lost somewhere in Xiasha. Looked for options online and found one review about M2 coffee on BonApp. I got attracted to how spacious the coffee shop looked like!
We ordered coffee and bakeries. I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of drinks on the menu with a nice selection of bakeries at decent prices. You can also choose between medium roast or dark roast coffee beans 😁 We ordered an Oatly latte, a coconut americano, a burnt basque cheese cake and a blueberry muffin 🤤 Coffees were great 😊 The Burnt Basque cheesecake was our favourite 😍 It was so soft and melted in my mouth. The blueberry muffin was so yummy and wasn’t too sweet!
My friend and I had the coffee shop for ourselves the whole afternoon! The interior is modern and minimalist. The coffee shop also seems to be a creative space for the sale of flowers, customised bags, pouches and bags of coffee beans.

A beautiful lane by the river ☕️🌷⛴
I read reviews about Bamboo Café, located along Wuliu Lane and one day decided to go there for a coffee and good book kind of afternoon. The coffee shop has a nice minimal aesthetic and good lighting. The atmosphere is nice and cosy. I ordered a cold latte and tried their pumpkin cake which was soft, quite filling and not too sweet.
I saw on the map that it was along a river but never thought that this place had more to offer. It’s a beautiful lane with restaurants, teahouses, cafés, flowers and lush green plants. It’s also a living area with traditional Chinese architecture. I found out that there’s a ferry (Meihuapi station) which you can take to Baziqiao ferry station, east of Wulin Square.
If you’re looking for a nice place to hang out while being in the city, Wuliu lane is a good choice ☕️📖🌷🌿✨

Anthracite 앤트러사이트
I visited an Anthracite(앤트러사이트) in Hannam-dong, a cafe with a modern sense of interior in an old building. The concept of the cafe is based on the regeneration of the old buildings with four locations in Seoul and one in Jeju Island.
They generally don't use the word cafe very well. They use to describe themselves as coffee factories. If you check the exterior and interior of the store, you can fully understand why they use such expressions. The soft coffee they offer and the wild-feeling space have a contrasting yet exquisite balance.
This place's coffee, which is made by roasting themselves, has an unforgettable aroma and taste for anyone who has ever tasted it. The only reason you can't help feeling this is because of the freshness of the coffee beans, which seem to be a factor that fills the old hours of space here. The vibes of this place, where old and fresh coexist, continue to visit and give off the attraction of staying here for a long time.
Recently, a transparent media art wall was installed at the bottom of the coffee bar in the store, and the store with an even more new atmosphere where digital and analog coexist feels complete. If you sit by the window on the first floor and enjoy the music and art wall, it becomes a magical place where time goes by. You may be ordering a second cup of coffee without recognising it.

Second House 세컨하우스
There was a time when modern mid-century interior styles were popular in Korea for some time. Of course, there are still a lot of people who follow that style. I would like to introduce this cafe called Second House(세컨하우스#aurora located in Sindang-dong, Seoul. It has that interior vibe and adds points to the paintings and the photos which are very sensuous.
This place operates as a cafe during the day and as a wine bar at night. You can eat simple foods during the day, but most people seem to visit for coffee. The artwork(main image) with yellow color from the entrance welcomes you as soon as you get in. The yellow image seems to have been planned to be related to the character with a yellow nose here. From these small things, the design-oriented person seems to have opened a cafe. The consistent yet sensual interior and prop usage were very impressive. It occurred to me that such visual language does not come from copying something, but from experience and sense.
It would be memorable to go to a cafe to see pictures and photos, rather than to go there to drink coffee. It's not just because it's cool, but because of its sensuous composition and expression. Here is the Cafe Second House, where I want to sit all day long on a free morning on a fine weekday that I hope literally it will be my Second House.

Leesarcoffee 리사르커피
The espresso specialty of Yaksu-dong, Leesarcoffee(리사르커피), has opened an additional cafe in Cheongdam-dong. This cafe, which is a basic place to drink 3-4 cups when you visit once, opened a store with the same concept in Cheongdam-dong. Taking the Italian espresso sensibility as it is, they pened a cafe larger than Yaksu-dong, which has a couple of table seats that is considerate of customers.
Compared to cafes in Yaksu-dong, the long bar around the espresso machine remained the same. Apart from that, the interior was established in a darker tone. It seems to provide a comfortable feeling for people who spend time in the store by lowering the lighting. On this day, I also drank five cups of coffee, and it seems to be a great advantage of being able to enjoy a variety of espresso-based coffee at a reasonable price.
I wanted to feel the newly decorated Leesarcoffee, so I sat down on the table and drank it, and like Yaksu-dong, there were many customers who drank 2-3 cups of coffee quickly at the bar. This culture is somewhat settled in Korea. I thought it was no exaggeration to say that this place plays a role in applying and settling this culture, which is likely to be only in Italy, to Korea.
It is self-evident that applying and settling a new culture is very difficult. However, after successful completion of this process, it will be a matter of time that it becomes the top brand in the market. In this regard, Leesarcoffee is at the forefront of establishing espresso culture in the Korean coffee market. I reckon they are also doing very well. I hope more people in Korea will experience this culture and know the joy of this experience.

Coffee Ffound 커피파운드
Even if it's hard to get to, there are places where people are willing to visit if they are well-made. Coffee Ffound(커피파운드), located on the hillside of Sindang-dong next to the Hotel Shilla, despite the difficulty of parking and difficulty of going, it was crowded with many people during the lunch time I visited.
The red brick building has a large window structure on the first floor, so the sunlight coming through the window is very good. It would be nice to visit and bring a laptop to work at leisurely hours.
Perhaps because it is a place that deals with specialty coffee, various beans from around the world are displayed on the wall of the cafe and can be purchased.
I drank Flat White on this day, and I chose ONA's Raspberry Candy beans. ONA coffee is a blend coffee used by Australian barista champion Sasa Sestic. Flat White feels so good when you drink it as soon as a barista makes it. So it seems that Flat White's latte art has never been photographed properly. I loved the unique sweet smell of berries when I drank it, and the creamy texture.
The space is good and the coffee is delicious, so people must come here on their own. There must be something sensitively attracted to it to appeal to people. It seems to be very subtle and difficult to find what people like. Anyways, it is an attractive place where I want to drink coffee brewed with other beans next time I visit.

COFFEE SHOP,INDONESIA
Cafe shop in Indonesia are no longer just a place to sell food and drinks. Cafe now has become part of the lifestyle of modern society. It has become one of the destinations that is always fun to visit.
The design of the cafe is also much more developed, especially the interior concept. The interior of a cafe often inspires many other forms and models of buildings. Like the concept of an office interior designed like a cafe, or even a home kitchen area that is intentionally designed to resemble the kitchen and dining area of a cafe.
The concept of public spaces such as cafes does require a maximum level of comfort for its visitors. It cannot be designed at random. The interior of a cafe can be a determining factor in how beta someone is when visiting it. This unique thing is proven in a study conducted by Hanson E Kusuma, an architect and researcher who graduated from ITB, that one of the biggest factors that can make a customer beta in a shop is good furniture, good design and accessibility.
From this research, we can conclude that cafe design cannot be just anywhere. If you are someone who is just starting a business, and your line of business happens to be to build a comfortable and fun place to hang out, then consider the choice of furniture, unique design concepts, and accessibility.

Communitarian Tourism: Visit Dota
Costa Rica is not only well known for its nature but amazing community life you can experience in traditional towns. Specially, coffee towns ☕️.
Dota is a very special county, not only its located at the foothills of Talamanca (highest mountain range ⛰), 1.5 hours from capital San Jose, has an amazing natural forest (San Gerardo de Dota area), but also is one of the popular coffee areas in the country.
Santa María de Dota, county head town, is a traditional town. In Costa Rica, the church is always one of the most representative buildings in any town/city. This town has a museum for preservation of their cultural heritage, and had made efforts to keep a traditional lifestyle to attract tourists (national and international). During our visit, it was nice to see homes decorated with ox cars or maintaining their traditional architecture.
Santa María is also very close to the Quetzals National Park, ideal for birds watching, sightseeing and definitely hiking tours. San Gerardo de Dota is called a magic cloudy forest land, but can be farther than expected. Definitely a place I want to visit when return home.

Shanghai Coffee Festival quest 5
This weekend, Shanghai holds its famous World’s Coffee Cultural Festival in Jing’an district. Therefore, I decided to go on a quest to try different coffee shops and stands. This festival is only open for three days, although most of the stands are coffee shops you can visit afterwards.
KOI Thé is a worldwide franchise with few locations in Shanghai. This branch in Wujiang Rd is actually a small quite place to sit down after shopping. Specially if you fancy either a bubble tea, a cute and delicious dessert or simply an afternoon coffee.
This cute little shop gives you the option to buy blended coffee for home, brand products or Koi Plus original cold brew teas. As for me, I was delighted by the beautiful bear-shaped cupcakes (white and dark), rainbow 🌈 cake and matcha 🍵 mousse cakes. There was not many desserts options due to weekend afternoon crowds.
I do like the fact they had marked every cake 🍰 with baking and expiration date (2 days), with shows they care about quality and client service.

Shanghai Coffee Festival quest 2
This weekend, Shanghai holds its famous World’s Coffee Cultural Festival in Jing’an district. Therefore, I decided to go on a quest to try different coffee shops and stands. Be aware this festival is only open for three days, although most of the stands are coffee shops you can visit afterwards.
This annual festival is a must visit this weekend. Due to pandemic, 2020 event was cancelled, therefore all efforts were focused on bring to life this fun event. For a hot summer day, having many ice coffee options and see so many great drinks was a life saver after. So many different coffee or coffee-flavored drinks available.
This first picture is from Paras, a very refreshing pineapple coconut ice black (quite like mixing espresso and a piña colada). Perfect sourness of the espresso and sweet coconut cream.
There are many shop presentations, demonstrations and games for all the family. I was surprised to find Central America’s produced coffee. However, unsure about the Costa Rican one (maybe my coffee farmer upbringing makes me additionally picky and bias).
Hope you have time to visit this weekend! The festival is open from 10am to 10pm. If not, don’t worry. I’ll definitely keep you informed for next year!

Nikko and ... it’s a big shop-cafe in Wujiang Rd. This is one of the places I find more curious, not only because this coffee shop sells vintage mugs, seeds and some coffee-related products, but also cactus 🌵 (yes, live plants) and clothes. All imported from Japan, and India.

Bon Matín (Good Morning) bakery is a super cute French shop in Wujiang Rd that you must visit. Pastry is absolutely adorable, children get crazy with the chocolate bear cupcakes 🧁 🐻, I got crazy with the delicious garlic bread baguette. Tongji House cafe
Within Tongji University there’s a great coffee shop you must visit. This adorable campus shop gives you the option to work or read with soft music, homey ambience and nice coffee. Tongji House is also a gift shop for Tongji University souvenirs.

Black Lattes & Sichuan Peppercorn Coffee
Straight from 🇯🇵 Japan 🇯🇵 , ☕ NO COFFEE ☕ has opened its first overseas branch in Shanghai at TX Huaihai.
Haven’t tried their black latte yet? To make it, fresh milk is splashed over ice cubes before coffee and other flavorings are added on top. If you look closely at the cup, you’ll see the black coffee on top slowly seeping into the milk below, creating a clash of black and white that looks almost like a traditional Chinese watercolor painting.
Ordering an americano is an easy way to figure out if the café’s coffee beans are up to snuff. At NO COFFEE, the beans are high quality and seem to be a medium/dark roast. We definitely weren’t disappointed.
If americanos aren’t your thing, there are a bunch of novelty drinks to choose from as well, like the Sichuan pepper & chestnut latte, red bean and juniper oat latte, and strawberry mocha. Proportions and ingredients that go into each drink are clearly noted on the menu, so you always know exactly what you’re going to get.
Fitting into the theme of TX Huaihai, the café interior is very modern and almost completely black and white. While a few, bench-like seats can be found among the shop’s merchandise, it’s not the café you’d want to visit for reading or working on a laptop. If you’re looking to grab a coffee while on the go, however, definitely make a stop at NO COFFEE and try something new.

A Futuristic Shanghai Coffee Experience
Coffee intersects with fashion at InnerFact, a café located within a trendy clothing store in TX Huaihai. While the concept might sound a bit cramped, this industrial-style space with metallic surfaces is actually quite spacious and perfect for gatherings and hanging out.
Different types of seating can be found around the café, including seats around the island-shaped coffee bar as well as transparent chairs that are fixed to a raised platform. The concrete floors and black ceiling give it a bit of a grungy feel, and the well-lit café has side doors that open into an outdoor terrace.
Coffee, desserts, and light meals are available at the café, and baristas ring a bell when your order is ready to be picked up.
For a fun drink, try out the passion fruit coffee, which is an Americano with passion fruit and a splash of soda water. It’s pretty refreshing on a hot day. Pair it with a piece of rose lychee cake for an extra treat.
If you’re looking for something a bit warmer, you can’t go wrong with the ginger tea.

A Literal Hole-in-the-Wall Cafe!
The storefront of Hinichijou is a gray, concrete wall. There’s no door or entrance—all ordering is done online. You might notice that within the concrete wall is a hole about the size of a bowling ball. Once your drink has been prepared, a server wearing a fluffy artificial bear claw will call out your number and hand it to you through the hole.
Hinichijou was opened last December on the International Day of People with Disabilities by three friends with the objective of spreading awareness and advocating for disabled rights. Keeping along this track, the professionally trained baristas at the shop are hearing impaired and were all hired through China Disabled Persons’ Federation.
Scan the QR code near the hole to browse through the menu and place your order. Eight different drinks are available in total, all of them including coffee. Here’s what we liked most:
Coconut Coffee – Medium roast coffee with coconut milk and floral accents. It might sound a bit strange but the combination works quite well.
Rose Latte – A fragrant, floral flavor infused into a classic latte. Topped with rose petals.
Champion Latte – A standard, nice tasting cup of coffee for a good price. Consider getting one without ice.
When the shop opens at 11 AM, the first person to place an order is greeted by the manager and given flowers. On the day we visited, we were lucky to snag the first spot and receive an entire bouquet!

Steampunk, Witches, and Coffee! Oh my!
Sorceress Café is more than just coffee. With antiques and artistic trinkets displayed for sale, visiting this steampunk style café seems to take patrons back to the steam age.
As its name suggests, this shop places an emphasis on magic. There’s a working space fit for a witch, set up with a mechanical light, manuscripts, a magnifying glass, and even a pointy witch hat.
If you have the chance to sit down and relax over a warm drink, chances are the barista will give you a magical wand and cloak, setting up the irresistible opportunity for an Instagram shot.
The shop features a collection of antiques and decorative pieces of all sizes, the majority of them marked with prices and available for sale. There are antique pieces of furniture like chairs and tables, and also wearables like broches and watches. If it hasn’t been sold by the time you make your way to the shop, be sure to check out the antique typewriter.
While you’re free to browse through the shop without buying anything to drink, a menu and seating are available too. Aside from the usual coffee shop favorites, Sorceress Café also serves a selection of drinks with a magical twist. For a cool, minty refresher, try a Diabolo Menthe. For something a bit sweeter and fruity, go for a Succubus.

Enjoy a World Top-50 Coffee Shop
Metal Hands is considered by some to be one of the best coffee shops in the city, so we dropped by the Nanchang Road branch for a visit. The whole road is lined with a bunch of small, independent shops, so swing by if you’re looking for a place to spend a peaceful afternoon.
This cozy café got its name from the traditional espresso machine where a metal lever is pulled to make one shot of the classic pick-me-up. An excellent place for people watching, the interior features cozy seating and floor-to-ceiling windows. While the café can get a bit crowded during peak hours, try visiting at dusk to enjoy the warm lighting and empty seats.
Seasonal drinks at Metal Hands have taken the internet by storm, especially the cinnamon latte which is topped with a sunny side up “egg.” We especially liked the ginger latte as well. Other offerings include classic, single origin brews and the “dirty,” a double espresso splashed with a shot of whole milk. The milk seems to linger near the top of the cup, making the espresso flavor seem stronger with each sip.
If all of the choices sound good to you and you’re not sure what to order, just ask one of the friendly baristas for some recommendations. There are two branches of Metal Hands in Shanghai; the other can be found on Yongjia Road.

☕ Drink it, eat it!
Shanghai people are famous all around China for their love to coffee. In some small cities of China you can't find even one coffee shop, but in Shanghai there is a huge variety: coffee of all possible kinds from all over the world.
M stand is not very different from any other coffee shop, BUT there are two things that really stand out.
1️⃣ Latte coffee in an eatable cup. The size of the cup is a bit smaller than the normal size latte paper cup, but it is made of a delicious cheesecake-crust-like oatmeal cookie (?). The cup inside has a chocolate coating layer, so it doesn't leak, don't worry about that. Just enjoy the drink and eat your cup after. Environment friendly + delicious! 😋 But... (yeah, there is always a "but") this is a real calories sugar bomb, so don't get too carried away 🙈😁
2️⃣ Concrete looking cheesecake 🍰 It looks like somebody just brought it from the construction area. It doesn't taste any different from any other cheesecake, but looks quite exciting💙🤍
This coffee shop has several brunches around Shanghai, my fav one so far is at 1126 Huashan Rd. The area is nice and clean, the view is good, and not too crowded 😁
Love coffee? You know what to do now ☺️☕
