It was a unique and memorable experience when I got the opportunity to stay at a free hotel on a farm with a private hot spring. The hot spring was a one-time experience, and it was an incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Although the hotel didn't serve lunch or dinner in their restaurant, the option for food delivery was a convenient alternative.
The breakfast offered at the hotel was a simple yet fulfilling Chinese-style spread, consisting of bread, eggs, porridge, coffee, and milk. The room was spacious, clean, and pleasantly warm, providing a comfortable setting for my stay. Although the view was different from the pictures, it offered a refreshing change of scenery and added to the overall charm of the experience.
One of the highlights of the hotel was the rooftop swimming pool with a picturesque view, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Also, there is a farm where you can pick activities like strawberries and eggs. They will give me fresh vegetables to take home too. There's also animal feeding (goats, chickens, rabbits, and piglets). Despite some minor deviations from expectations, the overall experience was memorable, and the private hot spring and serene surroundings made the stay truly special.

Unpopular gem in Nanjing 🪷
The Grand Baoen Temple Heritage & Scenic Area is located on the south bank of Qinghai river near Zhonghua gate in Nanjing. The museum depicts the birth of buddhism as a religion in China & the history of the temple which stands as a giant structure made of porcelain.
I’m not a big fan of museums, but this one was truly mind blowing with relics, carvings, paintings & and immersive art exhibition. There are few restaurants inside with a Costa coffee & ice cream vendors. At the exit, grab some artsy souvenirs from the massive gift shop.
The entrance ticket was 90¥, pricey but worth it 👌🏼

This hidden gem in Nanjing, Jiangsu offers visitors a memorable trip up Niu Shou Shan (牛首山). Besides magnificent views of Nanjing city from the mountain, you will be greeted by an opulent dome which houses a few levels of Buddha and deities, all meticulously sculpted by skilled craftsmen. Next to the dome is a beautiful Chinese pagoda which allows entry for visitors to catch a bird’s eye view of this marvelous architectural site. Despite being there over a national holiday weekend, the crowd was well controlled and orderly. Tickets to the attraction can be purchased online prior to your visit. I embarked on a midweek dinner with my family at Ms. Green, situated at 244 Lushan Road, Jianye. The chilly evening prompted our choice of comfort food, and Ms. Green did not disappoint with the curry and rice, mac and cheese, and an array of other enticing dishes.
The lady attending to our table added an extra layer of warmth to the experience with her friendly and attentive service. Throughout the evening, she made sure we were well taken care of, enhancing the overall enjoyment of our dining venture.
The efficiency of the kitchen was evident as our food arrived promptly, allowing us to indulge in the flavors without unnecessary delays. What's more, the affordability of the menu pleasantly surprised us, making the culinary experience at Ms. Green not only satisfying but also budget-friendly.
Beyond the culinary delights, the location of Ms. Green is great. This was definitely a great evening spent with my family.

During our visit to Gemdale Plaza, Lady Pineapple at Hexi Gemdale Plaza Shop caught our attention, and what was initially a plan for a swift coffee break evolved into a delightful culinary experience.
Upon entering, the tempting display of pastries couldn't be ignored, and my son insisted on trying their pizza and chicken nuggets. The variety on their menu pleasantly surprised us, and we decided to indulge in more than just coffee.
The food, pastries, and coffee at Lady Pineapple exceeded our expectations. Each bite was a burst of flavor, and the coffee was a perfect companion to our treats. The relaxed atmosphere added to the enjoyment of our time spent there.
One notable aspect that added to our satisfaction was the reasonable pricing of the food and pastries. It's refreshing to find a place that offers such quality at affordable rates.

FoodGasm opened their second store in Jianye District, and my family and I visited their restaurant for the first time. We received a warm welcome from the owners and staff. The service at the restaurant was out of this world.
This was the first time we tried Mediterranean cuisine, and wow, the flavors were absolutely amazing. The staff also kept checking if the food was good and to see if we needed anything else. The prices of the food items are also very affordable, and there are a variety of food options to choose from.
We took the Didi, and you can just search FoodGasm on Didi, and both stores will show up.
My kids also enjoyed the food. I will definitely visit again! It was definitely one of the best food experiences we have had so far in Nanjing.

My family and I recently indulged in a delightful brunch experience at Mama Kelly, and here's why we can't wait to go back:
The cozy atmosphere, coupled with the friendly staff, made our cold Sunday feel warm and welcoming. The service was prompt, ensuring we could enjoy our flavorful dishes without any delay.
We explored a diverse menu and opted for the Thai curry and rice, BBQ pork ribs and eggs Benedict, creamy pasta, chicken and veggies, shrimp quesadilla, and a comforting cup of coffee. Each dish was great, and the prices were reasonable.
However, a minor hiccup was the challenge with strollers outside the restaurant. Navigating them proved tricky, and it's worth noting for families with little ones or wheelchairs.
We will definitely visit Mama Kelly again.

Blue Frog in Aqua City Mall, my family and I had a wonderful dining experience. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, exhibiting a high level of friendliness. We opted for a variety of dishes, including a latte, cream truffle mushroom penne, pan-fried scallops and prawn creamy tomato risotto, and the blue frog mixed grill platter.
The service was impressively swift, and the food that arrived promptly lived up to our expectations. Each dish was not only flavorful but also well-prepared, leaving us with a satisfying culinary experience. The blue frog mixed grill platter, in particular, stood out with its assortment of delectable flavors.
Furthermore, the thoughtful touch of offering candy to the kids after dinner added an extra layer of sweetness to our visit. This attention to detail in customer service enhanced our overall satisfaction.

I went to J Deli Cafe at Jumeirah Hotel recently, and it was really nice. The cafe is part of the hotel and has lots of different things to choose from, like light lunches, yummy desserts, different breads, and drinks.
The place feels calm and peaceful, making it a quiet and nice spot to hang out.
Our food came quickly, but the coffee wasn't as warm as we would have liked. Even though the coffee was a bit cold, the overall experience was good. We liked the cozy atmosphere and the many food options at the cafe, so we'd definitely go back again.

Our family dinner at the Southeast restaurant was a pleasant experience. Upon entering, we were greeted by a warm and friendly staff, setting a positive tone for our evening.

Notably, it shares its vicinity with well-known establishments such as Burger King, Starbucks and Pizza Hut, providing additional dining options in the area. Overall, our evening at the Southeast restaurant was marked by amiable service, delectable Thai cuisine, and a cozy atmosphere, despite a few menu limitations.

My family and I visited International Youth Convention Hotel Service Apartments. Our experience at this hotel during the weekend was truly amazing. The check-in process was quick, and the English-speaking gentleman at the front desk made it convenient. Our room was clean and offered a breathtaking view of the Nanjing Eye. Having a small store within the hotel and coffee shops nearby was a plus. The hotel's thoughtful provision of a crib for my daughter upon arrival was highly appreciated. The lady who helped us was really nice, and the service was excellent. We decided to try a few things, and out of everything, I absolutely loved the rainbow shave ice – it's a flavor explosion! Definitely recommend trying it if you're in the area.
Besides the delicious shave ice, there are also lots of shops around, and the lake itself is beautiful to explore. It's a perfect place to spend a relaxing day, enjoying tasty treats and the lovely surroundings.
