The Roman Forum, located minutes away from the Colosseum is a collection of old ruins from antiquity.
While many consider the forum a side attraction to the Colosseum, the Forum has its own unique charm in that it reflects centuries of Roman Plebian history.
Furthermore, you can get very close to many of the structures and be immersed in the Forum for hours exploring every building and pillar, and still feel you haven't seen enough 🏛.

Checkinaway (@checkinawayblog) Manhattan Meanderings: Fall's Farewell Tour
On a crisp autumn day, as winter slowly crept closer, I set out on a walking tour of Manhattan to explore the city's vibrant streets and hidden gems. The seasonal transition painted a mesmerizing backdrop for my journey through the beating heart of New York City.
My adventure began near Chinatown's bustling Centre and Canal Streets, where the scents and sounds of diverse cultures created an intoxicating sensory tapestry. The narrow lanes, adorned with a blend of traditional and modern elements, provided a glimpse into the city's storied past and present.
Continuing uptown, I found myself outside the American Museum of Natural History, a world-renowned institution that houses wonders of the natural and scientific worlds. The imposing façade stood as a silent sentinel of knowledge and discovery.
My stroll led me to the intersection of 6th Avenue and West 24th Street, where the cityscape's architectural marvels stretched as far as the eye could see. Further along, I encountered the Church of the Holy Apostles on 9th Avenue, a serene refuge amidst the city's perpetual motion.
Finally, I found myself outside the iconic old New York Public Library, a testament to the city's literary history and intellectual spirit. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the city's colors shifted, and the first whispers of winter began to stir in the air.

OSLOB- must see Cuartel & Calle Aragones
👣👣Take a historical walk and witness the unfolding of this history by visiting the Cuartel! 👣👣
🌟
Between two of the oldest streets in Oslob, Calle Aeternidad and Calle Aragones, stands the Oslob Cuartel. This well-preserved structure was built in 1860 but remained unfinished at the end of the Spanish occupation in 1898. 🇪🇸Similar to the Nuestra Señora de la Immaculada Conception, it was also made of coral stones. Cuartel is an unfinished structure built during the Spanish colonization made through the effort of El Gran Maestro Don Marcus Sabandal. It was initially planned to house the Spanish army and was supposed to take part in the first line of defense of the Spaniards during the attack of the Moros. The strong edifice of the quarters was made from the nineteen centimeters thick, coral stones of the collapsed bell tower of its nearby church Nuestra Senora dela Immaculada.
🗿Near the bay area is the statue of Father Julian Bermejo, also known by Cebuanos as El Parroco Capitan or El Padre Capitan. He was the one who spearheaded the building of the defense system against moro invaders, which included creating a chain of watchtowers along the bays of several towns in Southern Cebu, starting from Santander all the way to Carcar.
🔝🇵🇭Give yourself at least 2 hours to be able to see everything. If you are into history a must-see.

🇵🇭KKK Manila🇵🇭 The Katipunan
The Bonifacio and the Katipunan Revolution Monument, situated within the grounds of the Bonifacio Shrine, and designed by Filipino sculptor Eduardo Castrillo, was unveiled in 1998.The Katipunan (aka KKK -no associations with Ku Klux Klan) was a Philippine revolutionary society founded by anti-Spanish Filipinos in Manila in 1892, whose primary aim was to gain independence from Spain through revolution. The society was initiated by Filipino patriot Andrés Bonifacio. Initially, the Katipunan was a secret organization until its discovery in 1896 which led to the outbreak of the Philippine Revolution.

Walking tour in old Spanish capital Toledo
Once you step on this side of the Spanish land, you feel like you have returned to medieval time - there are old buildings, fortresses, decoration and souvenirs of armours, swords and ancient calligraphy, and a place to show a movie of how the town developed over the years. It’s quiet and pleasant. Good escape from the busy city centre! #walkingtour #oldtown #spain
Sta Cruz Parish Church, Our Lady of Pillar🙏
The Our Lady of the Pillar Parish Church, commonly known as the Santa Cruz Church and also designated as the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament, is a baroque Roman Catholic parish church in the district of Santa Cruz, Manila, Philippines. It was built when the arrabal (suburb) of Santa Cruz was established by the Jesuits in the early 17th century. The church had undergone many repairs and reconstruction, with the last reconstruction done in the 1950s. It is the first Mission and Mother house of Filipino Sacramentinos, making it as the center of Congregation Activities and events.
There is a beautiful fountain in front of the church. The Sta Cruz Church It's actually walking distance from the Quiapo Church and in front of the entrance of Chinatown Manila. World's oldest Chinatown. The Church you can find the Gold Jewelry Stores and also a lot of Chinese Restaurants.
Must visit when in Manila. #churchinmanila #walkingtour #bucketlistreboot

Visiting Chinatown KL - A touristy Thing
There is a Chinatown in Jalan Petaling Street not too far away from the city centre. You will see many locals here selling all the souvenirs, shirts, bags and even fake branded stuff.
There is also a food street located in the same Chinatown. How to find it? Simple, just walk to the centre of the Chinatown and you will see a whole row of food, because this Chinatown is build on a cross junction which intersects each other.
I have made up a walking video tour of the start of Chinatown, into Chinatown and a short video of what to expect here. We'll this is worth a visit when you are in KL, you don't need to buy anything but who knows you might find something that interest you! Do remember haggling here is allowed!!!

Our first day in Hong Kong was absolutely incredible! We booked a walking tour that took us to some of the city's most iconic spots. We marveled at the beauty of St. John's Cathedral, learned to write Chinese characters, and visited the serene Man Mo Temple. To top it all off, we enjoyed a delicious Michelin-starred tea. Our Hong Kong adventure is off to a perfect start, and I rate the experience a 10/10!

HOLLYWOOD: WALK OF FAME TO REMEMBER
#celebratewithtrip
I have seen Hollywood boulevard, Chinese Theater, Avenue of the Stars, the Dolby Theater and other iconic buildings many times on the wide screen. It is unbelievable that I have my steps on the same ground I am strolling to. I am walking on the Avenue of Stars and look on my favorite hollywood stars. It was a great and amazing experience! It is truly unforgettable. By the way, the Hollywood Walk of Fame is free. And remember also to avoid people offering you to take pictures with them because it is not free. Moreso, be careful and keep your eye on your wallet. Just a reminder for all the tourists!#mytripvlog#tripblazers#spooktaculartrip#celebratewithtrip#urbanexplorer#awesomepic#walkingtour#hollywoodstar

Chinatown cultural heritage tour in Singapore
If you’re looking for interesting date ideas and want to soak in the historical heritage of Singapore’s forefathers, this tour is something you should definitely consider! It is a 2-hour walking tour around the key iconic areas in Chinatown.
Our tour guide was a lively and personable history buff. We learned so many things from her that day! While we explored the different locations, she shared about the history of the Chinese immigrants who came to Singapore. It was pretty cool seeing the actual locations and finding out the stories that happened there.
We even got to chill for a while at Maxwell Food Centre with sugarcane drinks in hand and traditional snack “orh nee” or yam paste. All in all, it was a very educational and thought-provoking experience!
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
