Trip Moments Recommendations
Tokyo Japan
Visiting Tokyo, Japan was an amazing and very impressive experience, the best ever. This trip was with the company, which organized a trip for the employees to travel for free, including free accommodation and meals for 4 nights and 5 days, with one day to explore freely. I had the chance to stroll around the accommodation area, and the Japanese people were very kind, always smiling and greeting, very friendly everyone. I like it here, and if I have the chance to travel abroad, I would choose Japan.
The tourist hotel & cafe near Akihabara Station.
Review of a hotel in Tokyo near Akihabara Station
“The tourist hotel & cafe”
The hotel features an in-house cafe. The first floor is the T & Cafe. After booking, the hotel sent a message informing us that we have access to free coffee service 24 hours a day, which includes hot and cold coffee from the hotel's cafe. Late at night, you can simply inform the staff at the front desk.
We booked a twin room for 2 adults and 1 child (1 year old), so we got an extra bed, making it 3 beds in total. Normally, the room would have space for a dining table, but with 3 beds, the space becomes limited. However, if you move the beds closer together, there will be plenty of space for the table.
I recommend this for groups of 3 because you won't need to book 2 rooms. The bathroom doesn't have a bathtub but has a rain shower. Be careful not to turn the water on the wrong side, or you'll end up with a wet head like I did (I had just styled my hair before coming to Tokyo, what a waste).
The first floor of the hotel is a cafe that opens from 7 am to 2 pm (this is if you want to order something other than the hot or cold coffee provided for free to hotel guests). There is also a microwave and a cabinet for picking up an Amenity set on the first floor.
The second floor is the laundry area (I didn't take a photo).
We stayed on the 10th floor. Opening the window in the morning lets in the light, and you can see the top of the Tokyo Sky Tree.
It's about a 6-minute walk (450 meters) from Akihabara Station. If you're coming by JR, take the Showa-dori exit. If you're coming by subway, take exit no.1.
Sinonomesou Hotel in Kinosaki-onsen town.
Review of Sinonomesou Hotel in Kinosaki-onsen. You can take a train from Osaka, but I drove for about 2 hours.
If you're driving, you can park in front of the hotel to unload your belongings first, and the hotel staff will guide you to the free parking area, which is quite far from the hotel. After that, you can take the hotel's shuttle back to the accommodation. On the day of check-out, the hotel's shuttle will take you back to the parking lot.
If you're coming by train, you might have to walk a bit with your luggage to the hotel.
Overall, the hotel is a bit old, but that's understandable as it's an old house. The service is okay, and the staff speak a little English. The rooms are large, with traditional Japanese futon bedding, and include an en suite bathroom. For bathing, you must use the hotel's onsen bath facilities. Honestly, after soaking in the onsen's seven different baths, you'll already be quite refreshed.
The hotel is located in an alley, not on the main road, but it's not far from all the onsen baths, and there's a Family Mart close to the hotel.
The hotel provides yukata, umbrellas, bags, shoes, and onsen passes. Enjoy walking around and soaking in the onsen. Most of them close at 9 PM and reopen at 7 AM.
Hotel Nikko Narita, a hotel near the airport.
Review of Hotel Nikko Narita, a hotel near Narita airport
🇯🇵 A great choice for those with late flights or early morning travels, this place is very convenient.
There are several shuttle bus services from Narita Airport to the hotel every day... And there's also a bus service from the hotel to Aeon Mall... You can shop until the very last minute...
Our room this trip was a J Style Family Room... Complete facilities, and there's even a Lawson cafe and a restaurant on the first floor... Very convenient 🤩🤩🤩
If you're looking for a hotel near the airport, give this one a try... The weather in Japan is very nice right now.
Hoshinoya Tokyo: A Luxury Ryokan in Tokyo
Here's my review of the Hoshinoya Tokyo ryokan where I recently stayed.
It's a luxury ryokan and one of the six Hoshinoya hotels in Japan.
The rooms are very spacious, and the hotel offers a lot of privacy. It's so exclusive that even outsiders who want to dine at the hotel's restaurant are not allowed in.
There are only three types of rooms. I stayed in the Kiku type, which is the largest (83 sqm) and the only room that can accommodate three people (I went with my family, so we chose this type). Also, don't expect much from the view; the opposite side is just office buildings with people working.
Each floor has an Ochanoma lounge for snacks and drinks available all day, and there are only six rooms per floor, so you'll rarely see anyone using this lounge compared to larger hotel chains.
In the evening, there is a sake hour in the lobby on the second floor, which is a bit busier since everyone gathers there.
At night, they also offer free soba during certain periods.
The hotel has an onsen on the rooftop.
The hotel's restaurant, Nippon Cuisine, is the only one and it's open only in the evening. It serves course meals and you should book in advance, or it will definitely be full.
Breakfast is served in the room. You can order it as a set, with a choice of Japanese or Western food.
Moreover, the hotel offers many activities, both free and paid. If you stay here, you should not pack your schedule too tightly so you can enjoy your time at the hotel.
For transportation, the hotel is located at Otemachi Station. It is directly connected to the subway.
Autumn Leaves at Ritz-Carlton Nikko
Review of the Ritz-Carlton Nikko during the autumn foliage season. The hotel is located at Lake Chuzenji and is perfect for special occasions and viewing the autumn leaves in Nikko.
The hotel opened not long ago, in mid-2020.
I stayed in a room with a view of Mount Nantai, which was 57 square meters. The room was spacious and convenient, with a bathtub, walk-in closet, and a balcony in every room. The view from the balcony during the autumn foliage was very beautiful.
There are 2 restaurants: The Japanese Restaurant, which serves Japanese cuisine, and Lakehouse, which serves Western food. There is also a bar in the Lobby. This time I had a kaiseki dinner, which is pricier than lunch, but lunch reservations are harder to get. It's more convenient to book whatever you want to eat in advance.
Breakfast is a set (quite grand, took almost an hour for breakfast) and there is a small buffet line with milk, pudding, etc., from Tochigi Prefecture, which is delicious.
The service is excellent. The staff are very attentive and seem to offer what you might want before you even ask for it.
The location is very convenient once you arrive. In front of the hotel is Lake Chuzenji, and just a short walk behind the hotel is Kegon Fall. The hotel provides a map showing where you can walk nearby.
During the high season, it's definitely full (it was full when I came, even though it was past the peak season). It's better to plan ahead.
The hotel has an onsen, spa, gym, but no swimming pool. There are plenty of activities for each season. Normally there is boating, paddleboarding, bike rentals, or temple visits. In winter, there is also mountain climbing.
For transportation, the hotel has its own bus stop named The Ritz-Carlton Nikko, stop number 25 (but taking a taxi is much more convenient).
Guanggu, a shopping district in Wuhan.
This is Guanggu, a shopping area in Wuhan that you absolutely must not miss. It is a shopping destination with a plethora of stores, restaurants, and cafes. Visiting here means you get everything in one place. It is recommended to come at night for the best atmosphere, as the area is beautifully lit up with decorative lights. If you have the chance to visit Wuhan, you definitely shouldn't miss it. Getting here is also very convenient; you can take the subway line two, the pink line, and get off at Guanggu Station.

The Most Beautiful Train Station in the World.
The train station in Kanazawa not only serves as a normal means of transportation, but it was also once recognized as one of the most beautiful train stations in the world by an American travel magazine in 2011. This station was built in 1898 and underwent a major renovation in 2005 by the architect Ryuzo Shirae. The design style is modern architecture that seems to come from the future, yet it also incorporates local artistic details that are uniquely impressive.
Kanazawa Station has a notable feature, the Motenashi Dome, which is located at the east exit. The name of the dome means 'welcome', and it is designed to resemble an umbrella providing shade to people leaving the station. The dome's structure is a steel frame interlaced and connected by clear glass to protect against rain and snow. In the center, there is a water feature that adds a refreshing touch, surrounded by flower planters and stylish seating areas. In front of the dome, there is a striking red gate resembling a Torii pole, known as the Tsuzumi-mon or 'Drum Gate', because it is designed to resemble the shape of a drum used in Noh theater, which is a traditional art form of the city.
Inside the train station, there are quite a few shops. Shoppers should allow time to browse, as many stores here offer beautifully crafted merchandise. Even if you're not a regular shopper, you might find yourself spending here. In front of the station, there are bus stops, including buses that run between cities in the region and the red Loop Bus that goes around tourist spots in Kanazawa.

Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area, a 5A World Natural Heritage Site.
According to the legend of Huanglong, it is said that Huanglong was formed when a Chinese hero shot an arrow into the sky, piercing the heart of a dragon that happened to fly by. The dragon died instantly and fell from the sky into a pond, creating a huge splash and turning the wheat fields into Cocoa Crunch. Just kidding!!! It actually became the present-day Huanglong, haha.
The further you walk, the more beautiful it gets. You can't help but continuously snap photos. Initially, you walk past a turquoise stream, lined with layered rocks, including the world's longest stretch of travertine terraces (Jinsha Pudi) and the world's largest travertine cave (Si Shen Dong). The beauty that arises from the abundant travertine in Huanglong is breathtaking. From a high vantage point, you can see a golden dragon, complete with head, body, and tail. Turning around, you can see snow-capped mountains in the distance, paired with the changing colors of leaves, forming a valley. There's an ancient temple that was under renovation when we visited. The culture and traditions of the local people, and the name Huanglong itself, are a tribute to the Dragon God of the East Sea. In the valley, there are three temples built to commemorate the Dragon God (Huanglong). Huanglong can be visited all year round, and each season offers a different experience. There are many species of animals here, but we only saw one bird, haha.
Longshan Temple
No matter if you're traveling domestically or internationally, you always have to visit temples to pray for good fortune. Longshan Temple is one of the ancient temples in Taiwan that you must visit. It's always so crowded!
It's a famous place for praying for a partner. Whatever type of partner you wish for, just pray for it. And there are also many amulets...
FYI:
- The Old Moon God is at pot number 7. The sign is where many people are praying...
- When making a wish, don't forget to specify details about yourself and importantly, your preferences.
- Don't forget to pray for a red thread from the deity.
- Toss the red half-moon shaped wood, one side up and one side down, three times to receive the red thread.
- Pick up one red thread and walk around the incense pot three times.
- Pray again (deja vu) in front of the shrine, then put the red thread in your wallet, and you're done.
** Just in case, it's recommended to buy a love amulet to carry with you **
Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall

Don't miss it!

Sakura - A Symbol of Birth and Farewell
The flowers that become more enchanting the more you look at them, with their vibrant colors, are a sign of Japan's transition into warmer weather. That is the cherry blossom. But did you know that their meaning might not be as beautiful as we perceive?
The blooming of the cherry blossoms makes us feel that spring is coming, symbolizing good things about to begin. However, the full bloom period lasts only about 7 days before the petals fall. This could be compared to human life, suggesting the impermanence and fragility of our existence.
Sakura and Beliefs - In ancient times, from the Sengoku period to the early Edo period, Japanese people would plant cherry trees on graves because the flowers represented sorrow and the transient nature of life, reminding us not to be negligent.
Best Time to View Sakura - Normally, the sequence starts from regions where the weather gets warm first, such as Tokyo, then moves to Osaka and Hokkaido. This photo was taken in Tokyo in late April. You can still see some blossoms due to the relatively cold weather this year.
Photography - From iPhone / Canon EOS 5D Mark IV. The atmosphere may look beautiful, but the tone of the images, being somewhat subdued, reminds us of the fleeting nature of the flowers, just like the transient nature of human life, which is the inspiration for this story.
Thank you to everyone for following.

I want to sit in a cafe with a spacious terrace to enjoy the view and the atmosphere in a Greek, Roman, European style, and to enjoy the aroma of coffee while watching the fog outdoors. Come here, the chato cafe. Park in front of the shop and come in to relax in the air-conditioned room first.

This is a village nestled in the valleys, with cool weather all year round. During the winter season, it gets very cold here, sometimes even frost occurs. The highlight here is the 'blooming of the Tiger Queen flowers' which happens only once a year!! They bloom in January every year. This year I came at just the right time, the flowers were in full bloom, 100% indeed. It's such a beautiful view, very much like the rural villages in Japan. And this place is also the starting point to go up to 'Phu Lom Lo', the largest viewing spot for the Tiger Queen flowers (Thailand's Sakura) in the country. 🌸🌸🌸

สุขใดเล่าจะเท่าพักผ่อนกัน Danjo Garan Temple / A Snowy Day.
It took over 2 hours to travel to Mount Koya in Wakayama Prefecture by train, followed by a cable car and a bus. Upon arrival, there was no feeling of tiredness at all with the snow pouring down that day. Every place on Mount Koya was covered in a blanket of snow, and the cold was piercing. The path to Danjo Garan Temple was incredibly beautiful. We didn't prepare any clothes for the snow, but no matter how cold it was, it didn't stop us from capturing this atmosphere. It was a surprise of the trip due to an additional day caused by the airline's rescheduling. The charm of Mount Koya, which is already plentiful, coupled with the atmosphere of that day, was truly the best!!

Buddha Park, also known as the Cultural Park Xieng Khuan.
The Cultural Park Xieng Khuan is a popular tourist destination, established since 1958 (B.E. 2501), located about 25 kilometers from Vientiane city center and approximately 7.3 kilometers from the Thai-Laos Friendship Bridge.
Tourists call it Buddha Park, but the Laotians know it as Wat Xieng Khuan. The area is not very large, but it contains many interesting features, such as concrete statues depicting the life of Buddha, various postures of deities, and numbers that guide visitors to view the statues in sequence.
There are images of headphones, as if there is an audio guide available at certain points, but it is unclear if they are still in use as no one seems to be wearing headphones.
There are numerous statues, with Lao inscriptions narrating stories on the concrete bases. However, there are no Thai or English translations, making it difficult to understand some of the stories, as some statues look unusual and seem to have their own tales. It's a pity because if we could understand them, the visit would be much more enjoyable.
There is a round building resembling a pumpkin or a monk's alms bowl that tourists can enter. One must crawl and climb very steep and narrow stairs. Inside, the 'pumpkin flesh' area has walkways with small square windows to look out and enjoy the view, as well as to peek at the statues in the 'pumpkin seed cavity' area. It's a very interesting and well-designed space.
The 'pumpkin seed cavity' is divided into three levels. The top level features deity statues with serpent tails, likely representing the divine realm. One level down might represent the human world, including giants. The lowest level is hell, with various forms of soul torment based on the sins committed.
Walking through to the back, there is a flower garden and a small longboat museum with two impressive boats on display. These boats, 55 paddles in length, have won several competitions, but since the COVID outbreak, there have been no races and no storage, so the Buddha Park has preserved them here for tourists to appreciate Lao boat racing culture.
Additionally, there is a restaurant and drink stalls with seating next to the Mekong River. The atmosphere is pleasant, with a great view and cool breeze. There are plenty of seats available to accommodate large tour groups, delicious food with a diverse menu, and reasonable prices, similar to any other restaurant outside.
Free restrooms are available inside, clean and sufficient in number.
You can drive here comfortably as there is ample parking space right in front of the Buddha Park.
If you don't have a car, you can take air-conditioned bus number 14 from the morning market. Buses run every half hour, costing 12,000 kip or 24 baht, and the journey takes about 40 minutes.
The entrance fee for Buddha Park is 15,000 kip or 30 baht for Laotians and 40,000 kip or 80 baht for foreigners. It's very worthwhile.
Cherwa Cafe: A Must-Visit.
A Japanese-style bakery with many branches in the northern region, but today Nan will take you to the branch in Rong Kha, Phrae Province. Cherwa (เชอร์วา) is a small cafe in front of a house, the same establishment as Boobun, located in Rong Kha sub-district, Song Men district, Phrae Province. It's not too far from the main road and also not far from the town of Phrae. The shop is brightly colored and cute, with cool photo spots in a very Korean style, perfect for selfie lovers as well. The pastries are delicious, with juicy fillings, very tasty and reasonably priced. If you're passing by, I recommend you try it!
