Mae Sa Waterfall
Mae Sa Waterfall or Mae Sa Waterfall Forest Park is located in Doi Suthep-Pui National Park, Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province. The surrounding atmosphere is a lush forest because it is located on a high mountain that is part of the Thanon Thong Chai mountain range. There are also nature study trails and various facilities, making this place one of the most popular places for relaxation for Chiang Mai residents and tourists. Mae Sa Waterfall originates from 17 streams that flow together from the mountain ridge between Mae Rim and Mae Taeng Districts, forming the Mae Sa River before flowing down through the forest and cascading down to form a medium-sized waterfall with a total of 10 levels, each level is about 100-150 meters apart. The total distance of the waterfall is 1.5 kilometers. There is a convenient and safe nature study trail. You can walk to see the beauty of the waterfall on every level, each level has a different name and identity.
Level 1, Pha Lat, is located near the parking lot, followed by Level 2, Wang Fai, Level 3, Pha Taek, Level 4, Wang Sam Muen, Level 5, Wang Thao Phromma, Level 6, Tad Mei, Level 7, Tad Phanarom, Level 8, Pha Ngeap, Level 9, Wat Hang, and Level 10, Lan Te. The highlight is Level 5-7 because they have a pavilion to rest and enjoy the beautiful view of the waterfall. You can also swim in each level, but you have to be careful and avoid flooding.
