Natural Beauty on Taiwan's Coastline
Nestled along the scenic coast of Taiwan, Tofu Cape is a hidden gem that invites you to immerse yourself in the serene beauty of nature. With its rugged landscapes, breathtaking views, and a sense of peaceful isolation, Tofu Cape offers a tranquil retreat for those seeking solace and rejuvenation.
Tofu Cape's unique name derives from its distinct geological formations, where the rocks resemble tofu curds. These natural sculptures, shaped by wind and water over time, create a surreal landscape that sets Tofu Cape apart from other coastal areas. As you wander through this geological wonderland, you'll find yourself surrounded by artistry that only nature can create.
The cape's charm lies not only in its tofu-like rocks but also in the panoramic views it offers. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Tofu Cape provides a stunning vantage point to witness the waves crashing against the rugged shoreline. Whether you're gazing at the horizon or simply relishing the sound of the ocean, the cape's soothing ambiance is sure to wash away any worries.
Tofu Cape's tranquility is also reflected in its abundant flora and fauna. The coastal vegetation, ranging from hardy shrubs to delicate wildflowers, adds a splash of color to the landscape. Birdwatchers will be delighted by the opportunity to spot various avian species, from sea eagles soaring overhead to tiny shorebirds darting along the water's edge.
One of the cape's highlights is the Tofu Cape Lighthouse, a historic structure that stands as a sentinel over the landscape. The lighthouse offers an elevated perspective of the surrounding beauty, and climbing its spiral staircase rewards you with sweeping vistas that stretch to the horizon. As the sun sets, the lighthouse takes on a romantic allure, casting its warm glow across the cape.
Tofu Cape is also known for its healing hot springs, offering another layer of relaxation to your visit. Immerse yourself in the therapeutic waters, allowing the soothing warmth to envelop you as you take in the coastal views. It's a rejuvenating experience that completes the sense of well-being that Tofu Cape instills.
Whether you're seeking a serene escape, a nature lover's paradise, or simply a place to reflect and unwind, Tofu Cape delivers. It's a place where time slows down, where the beauty of the natural world takes center stage, and where the connection between humanity and nature is palpable. Tofu Cape invites you to step away from the chaos of everyday life and bask in the gentle embrace of one of Taiwan's most tranquil coastal treasures.

Bukit Burung, a hidden gem overlooking Toba
I chanced upon Bukit Burung on Google map while researching for places I want my guide to bring me to on motorbike. It is located further up the hill about 15 minutes ride by motorcycle from the hot spring in Aek Rangat.
Apparently this lookout point is not very well-known among the local people. My guide asked a few locals along the way and no one has heard of Bukit Burung before. Eventually I brought my guide who was born and bred in Samosir to a place that he has never been to!
If I remember correctly there is no signboard at the junction leading to the lookout point so it's quite easy to miss it. From the junction we followed the rough stony path till the end and we were awarded with a beautiful view of Samosir Island and a small inhabited island called Pulau Tulas in Lake Toba.

The Tasmania Sea Cliffs Lookout
When road tripping in Tasmania you should stop by at the Tasman Arch and the many other lookout located at EagleHawk Neck TAS 7179 where you will also be able to see other sea cliffs loke the Blowhole, the lookout point and also the devil's kitchen all situated around each other.
Thus is a other area where you will be able to also do some hikes as each attraction/lookout is situated about a 12-15min walk. This is a relatively easy walk with not much of gradual ups and down.
These arches are natural arches made by the waves crashing onto these cliffs for many years, forming these natural beautiful cliffs. These is a must visit when you are here, to admire the natural beauty of these cliffs.

🇵🇹 Amazing Viewpoint of Douro Valley
We made a quick stop at Miguel Torga's Writer Lookout during our port wine tour in Douro Valley. It is located along N323, one of the scenic routes in Douro Valley between Pinhão and Sabrosa. It is about 6 km and 13 minutes drive from Pinhão through narrow and winding roads. The viewpoint is named after one of the greatest Portuguese writers of the 20th century, Miguel Torga, who was born in Sabrosa. The lookout point offers stunning views of the terraced slopes of the Douro Valley and where Pinhão River meets Douro River. The unique landscapes of Douro Valley is part of the UNESCO World Heritage.
My dream destination for a family trip is anywhere in the world where the family can have fun together!
