🇻🇳 The elegant Pink Church in Dalat
Dalat is a hill city located an hour flight or an overnight bus away from Ho Chi Minh City. In a country where majority of the citizens are Buddhist, do you know that you can find a beautiful pink church in Dalat? The Pink Church, officially known as the Domaine de Marie Church, is a charming French-style Catholic church with pink-colored walls and surrounded by beautiful gardens. Designed by French architect Léonard, the church was built in the 1940s by French missionaries. It was originally intended as a convent for nuns of the Franciscan Missionary of Mary order. Over the years, the church has become a significant landmark in Dalat, attracting tourists and worshippers alike with its unique pink façade and serene surroundings.

Quan Bui - Original

One of the best places we ate at in Saigon. Amazing pork with egg, greens, must orders! Springs roll platter was lovely also & the ginger chicken was nice. Just avoid the fish, weirdly cooker and not good quality. Also a nice ambiance inside the restaurant, and serves healthy fresh juices.
Recommend this place. It's worth a try!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are looking for a nice Vietnamese restaurant with food choices, Ngon Restaurant could be for you. The menu is mostly focusing on Vietnamese cuisines in different areas, but also they have a Chinese + Thai menu & a vegetarian menu as a bonus. The food is delicious.
The restaurant is well-decorated & usually full of people at night, so it will take some time (5 - 15 mins) to wait for a table or if possible, book a table in advance. I have eaten many times at this restaurant & I would say it's worth a try 🥰

Nice decorations inside let you feel you are in Vietnam with women in ao ba ba and the tableware are the traditional ones using in the countryside.
Fantastic food and incredible service.
For our family we ordered the spring rolls, pork rib, pork skewers, soft shell crab and garlic fried rice.
The condiments were nice and if you like spicy then try green sauce they provided. It had an amazing kick to it.

Home Saigon Restaurant & Bar
#hochiminhcity
I found this place on Google with good reviews, and it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious and the smoothie is as good as it gets. Is a small shop, but the decor is cute. The only disappointing thing was that they almost didn’t seat me, they had a large group coming in as part of a food tour. They were going to seat me outside, which was way too hot. Fortunately, there was another fellow solo traveler with me, and together with the two of us, and with a different server, we were seated inside. it’s very reassuring when you find a place that is authentic, but also friendly for foreigners. I think I end up paying around 20 USD, but I did have two of those smoothies. This is well worth a try!

🇻🇳 The quirky Crazy House in Dalat
Dalat is a hill city located an hour flight or an overnight bus away from Ho Chi Minh City. Do you know that you can find Gaudi style architecture in Dalat? We had a memorable visit to Hằng Nga Guesthouse, popularly known as the “Crazy House” during our stay in Dalat. Designed and constructed by Vietnamese architect Đặng Việt Nga, the Crazy House first opened to the public in 1990. Since then, it has become one of the most famous and unique landmarks in Dalat known for its whimsical and unconventional design. The building's structure resembles a giant tree with winding staircases, tunnels, and unique rooms. We had fun exploring the crazy house and took a lot of crazy photos!

🇻🇳 Great fun @ Datanla Waterfall
Dalat is a hidden gem that you should include in your Ho Chi Minh City trip itinerary. Located 300 km from HCMC, Dalat is just an hour flight or an overnight bus away from HCMC. One of my favourite destinations in Dalat is Datanla Waterfall.
We visited Datanla Waterfall after visiting Truc Lam Buddhist Monastery located by Tuyen Lam Lake. It was a short taxi ride away from the exit of the monastery. Datanla Waterfall is part of the Datanla Tourist Area, which offers various recreational activities for visitors. A unique and thrilling way to reach the waterfall is by taking the alpine coaster. We got the opportunity to descend through the lush forest to reach the base of the waterfall. After visiting the waterfall, we took the alpine coaster up to the same starting point.
If you are a thrill-seeker like me, you should not miss the High Rope Course & Zipline located next to the alpine coaster. It was the best obstacle and zipline course that I have ever had. I got plenty of opportunities to soar above the lush greenery and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape as I zip from one platform to another. I wish to go back again someday to have fun again!

I certainly enjoyed visiting this museum and its many interesting exhibits but was disappointed that there was so little information to guide me to the various exhibits or explain their connection to Vietnam’s rich cultural history. It seems that little has been done to turn this into the showpiece it should and could surely be. Regardless, I highly recommend visiting and suggest that it’s a terrific bargain any roughly $1.50 for its entrance fee. Plan to arrive early to avoid the heat as it is sparingly ventilated and air conditioned only in a few spaces.

Tet New year's eve celebration
#hochiminhcity
We were lucky enough to be in Ho Chi Minh City during the Tet New year's eve celebrations. Having planned on visiting the park anyway we found that it had been converted into a flower, food and music festival for the celebration. It was amazing. The flowers, lights and decorations were the best in the city. There was more food than we could eat, and being vegetarian it was only 10% of what was on offer. The music was strange to our western tastes but great to watch. There were also magicians, dragon dancers and an amazing aquarium. If your in Hcmc during in Tet this should be at the top of your list of places to go. The tickets were 30k each

Waterpark in Ho Chi Minh
#hochiminhcity
Dam Sen Water Park in Saigon is a great place to visit with family, especially on hot days. The admission fee of around $8.50 per person is reasonable and the park has a variety of activities to offer. Our family of 5, including 2 children, had a fun time there. Although the swimsuits cost more than the admission, they were well worth it.
The park has a children's play pool that is perfect for younger kids and it was one of our children's favorite attractions. The synthetic beach was also a hit and it provided a fun, beach-like experience in the middle of the city. Unfortunately, our children were not tall enough to go on all the slides, but there were still enough activities for them to enjoy.
In conclusion, Dam Sen Water Park is a great option for families in Saigon. The admission fee is reasonable and there are plenty of activities for both children and adults to enjoy. While some of the attractions are not suitable for younger children, there are still plenty of options for them to have fun. I would give the park a 4-star rating and recommend it to anyone looking for a fun day out with family.

SAIGON OPERA HOUSE
#hochiminhcity
Standing magnificently at the heart of Ho Chi Minh City is the Saigon Opera House, which is also known as the Municipal Theater. The building stands as one of the impressive sight in Saigon – both night and day.
Saigon Opera House was built in 1898 by the French architect – Eugene Ferret, following the “flamboyant” style of the French Third Republic. It was set to be two meters higher than the street surface with two door layers, in order to prevent traffic noise.
Built in parallel structure, the Opera House is located on the city’s center axis, connecting the metro station and roundabout in front of Ben Thanh market. From a distance, the Opera House looks like a beautiful gigantic city gate. The architecture boasts stone-carved ornaments and statues at the entrance, crystal chandeliers, and shiny granite floor at the lobby area – all built with materials imported from France. The oval auditorium with 468 seats offers good view from every seat. It is also echo-free and therefore preserves all the sound inside the theatre.
