My Visit to Gyeongbokgung Palace
Visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul was amazing! Got a hanbok for just 30,000 KRW for the dress, underpants, hairstyle and a purse. The changing of the guard ceremony was a colorful start, and the palace grounds were beautiful. Geunjeongjeon Hall and Gyeonghoeru Pavilion were stunning highlights. The contrast between the ancient structures and the modern city skyline was striking. A must-see in Seoul!

The iconic Gyeongbokgung Palace 🇰🇷
Gyeongbokgung is one of the largest palaces built by the Joseon dynasty.
We went here January 7, 2024. It was freezing cold but worth it! We rented hanbok at hanboknam so we could enter the palace for free. There was a ceremony when we got here but we didn't watch until the end.
We took photos real quick then went home.
Getting there:
You can get off at Gyeongbokgung Station line 3 (Exit 5) or get off at Gwanghwamun Station line 5 (Exit 2). The palace is just a short walk from either of these stations.

Amazing trip in Seoul🍁
We have explored a lot of place in this week, the biggest mosque in Seoul, Lotte tower, Namsan Tower, Nami Island, Gangchon Rail Bike, Cruise ride, Gyeongbokgung, Myeongdong Night Market etc. We also went to have delicious food like Korean fried chicken(BHC), Tteokbokki, Myeongdong Kyoja, Korean BBQ etc. Of course there is also a whole day shopping for me, from cosmetics to skin care products, from dessert to snacks, Overall we enjoy every moment here and will be back soon🫶🏻

The historical beauty of Gyeongbokgung💙
Gyeongbokgung palace is one of the most famous and historical palaces located in Seoul, South Korea.
It's a huge huge palace with multiple gates guarding the main building, with a boundary running in kilometers and with a beautiful architecture!
Some of the architecture was destroyed during wars and is artificially reconstructed.
We were also able to capture a guard changing ceremony at the palace.
In the main palace picture, you can see 2 dragons made of pure gold. In korean history, these dragons symbolize peace and tranquility!!
After the main palace, we witnessed various residential palaces as well.
The rooms were in order of the seniority in position.
Overall, it was a great experience to witness the architecture and historical significance of Gyeongbokgung!

Experience Wearing Hanbok in Korea!
100 Must-Visit Korea Destinations! ✨
During my recent trip to Korea, I had the opportunity to visit one of the five palaces in Seoul. I took a photo at Gyeongbokgung Palace and was thrilled to have the experience of wearing a Hanbok in the country itself 🫶✨
I rented it for free because it was included with the Discovery Seoul Pass (I'll talk about it in the next post!)
There are five palaces you can visit when you're in Korea, all located in Seoul (Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace, Deoksugung Palace, and Gyeonghuigung Palace). 🥳
Wearing a Hanbok in Korea was already on my list 🌸💐 because it's not only stylish but also a memorable experience. Oh, by the way, Gyeongbok Palace is located north of Seoul (Gangbuk), South Korea.
This palace is one of the five grand palaces built during the Joseon Dynasty, which you must have seen in Korean dramas, right? 🌼
The vibes here are truly different, and I loved how most people who visit this place also wear Hanbok. It's adorable and charming 🥰
For other exciting destinations in Seoul, I'll discuss them in my next post! ✨

Quiet bookshop near Gyeongbukgung Palace
One would hardly notice this little book shop tucked in the corner near Gyeongbukbung Palace and Beomgungsa Temple in Seoul. Not easy to miss since it's housed in the building of Daehan Publication Culture Hall. It's called Seoul Selection. They have a wide range of Korean books - in both korean language and translated versions - English, German, etc. The one manning the register can also help in finding books that you need.

🇰🇷Seoul-o trip to Gyeongbokgung Palace
#seoul
Gyeongbokgung Palace is a historic palace located in Seoul. I visited it alone and decided to join a guided tour, which turned out that I'm the only person to have signed up for it. With this one-to-one tour, I learnt a lot from the guide. He was very knowledgeable and was patience to introduce to me the history of the Palace and the details of the beautiful architecture and design.I also managed to catch a performance and the guard-changing ceremony. It was a day of information overloaded, but I love it.

This is Seoul's largest palace and it was built by King Taejo. But it was in ruins as a result of the Japanese invasion in 1592 and was restored. Because such a big palace that you spend as much time inside as you can.The photos are especially beautiful in the autumn, when the soil's color adds a romantic ambiance. You also feel all the experiences in this historical building.

Definitely a great experience to visit there. I love visit historical place, so if you do then advised to make a visit early in morning so you have sufficient time to explore around. I went there on last Wednesday of the month, so it’s free entrance because it’s the culture day of South Korea. Normal day if you entry with Hanbok then it’s free as well. Nearby the palace there’s many Hanbok rental shop or you can grab in Klook. There’s 2 sessions of the guard changing ceremony, make sure you don’t miss it. There are few more palaces in South Korea but this is the most tourist spot.

Empress Ki vibes at Gyeongbokgung!
I witnessed the guard changing ceremony at Gyeongbokgung Palace and i had a goosebump. This mesmerizing traditional ceremony with impressive ancient protocols giving me the vibes of 'Empress Ki' drama that i watched not too long ago. This palace is very easy to be visited as it is centray located in the heart of bustling city of Seoul. You can take Seoul Subway and stop to Gyeongbokgung Station or Anguk Station and it just few meters away by walk.
I can say this palace is a must to visit and to experience the interesting guard changing ceremony. For Kdrama lovers, i believe you know that this palace is very well known it has been filmed for many kdramas here.
