【Spain】Toledo: Exploring Historical and Cultural Heritage.
Toledo is located south of Madrid, Spain🇪🇸, and is a city full of historical and cultural heritage, combining the cultures of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam.
Upon arrival in Toledo, one is immediately captivated by the charm of the city. The ancient city walls surround the entire city, creating a magnificent landscape. Wandering along the narrow streets, one can feel the profound historical atmosphere of the city😌.
There are many places worth visiting in Toledo, and one that must be visited is the Toledo Cathedral⛪️. This grand and spectacular cathedral, built in the 13th century, is famous for its gorgeous Gothic architectural style.
The interior of the cathedral is open to visitors, with tall arches and elaborate stained glass windows creating a sacred and grand atmosphere🪟. There are also many works of art🎨 and sculptures🎭 in the church that showcase Spain's artistic talent and religion.
The city has many small shops selling art and handicrafts, making it an ideal place to purchase local specialty crafts🛍️. I am particularly interested in the unique tile mosaics, and the shops can even assemble tile mosaics according to the customer's needs, with many people creating their own names, house numbers, commemorative dates, etc., as keepsakes🥰.
📍Location: On a hill about 70 kilometers south of Madrid
🚆Transport: Take the Renfe train or ALSA bus from downtown Madrid to Toledo
Spain - Casa Vicens, the House of Vicens
The second Gaudí building I like is Casa Vicens.
This is the first house designed by Gaudí.
It was built between 1883 and 1885.
Before 2014, it was a private residence.
After 2017, it was acquired and turned into a museum.
Only then did we have the chance to go in for photos
and listen to the guided tour.
Influenced by neo-Moorish architecture,
there is a large arrangement of geometric patterns.
Decorations with tiles, metal products, and bricks.
Notice that all the iron railings have different floral designs.
Photo 3 shows a small room with a blue to purple gradient, which is the smoking room.
Hey, even the smoking room is so stylish.
It's so beautiful that smokers might want to 'chur' a few more.
Photo 4 is the ceiling of the first room right at the entrance.
It's a place you don't want to leave,
because every corner is beautiful.
Photos 5-7
The design of the terrace and the rooftop.
There are always surprises, like a fairy tale castle🏰.
A little tip🔔 At the underground souvenir shop,
where they sell books, there's a video playing
about the restoration of the entire Casa Vicens.
After watching it and then looking at photos 8-11,
you'll understand why I love this house so much.
A good architect and designer
is responsible for construction and aesthetics,
but it takes good builders
to turn the ideas in their minds into reality.
Gaudí in his earliest days
must have really loved plants and flowers.
You can see his careful thoughts in many delicate details.
Just look at the bricks and wrought iron he used, and you'll know.
A little secret from the trip🤫
is that I foolishly didn't make a reservation
and ended up not being able to enter the Sagrada Familia.
So, I went to this Casa Vicens instead.
Is it a blessing in disguise?
Malaga|The best tapas with reasonable price
Bar La Tranca
⭐️ Overall rating:4.8/5
🍽 Recommendation: Green peppers, prawn skewer, meatballs
💁 Service: Good
💰 £10 per person
📍 Location: Bar La Tranca
The restaurant is quite popular in Malaga especially during the weekends! The vibe is good and the food price is reasonable!
Meatball is freshly made with tomato sauce. The fries and bread with the sauce taste good!
Green pepper is more than what I have in London and price is 1/3 of London restaurant. The crispy skin is tasty!
Prawn skewer is the brilliant choice as well and the seafood is so fresh in Malaga!
3 dishes and 1 coke for €11.9.
So cheap and so impressive!

Valencia's Fallas Festival: A Colorful Feast in the City of Passion
Under the radiant sun of Valencia, Spain, I welcomed the annual Fallas Festival, a celebration brimming with joy and color that transports people into a world filled with tradition, passion, and gastronomy.
The Fallas Festival is renowned for its unique Falleras costumes. As you walk through the streets, you encounter numerous Falleras adorned in magnificent attire. Their elaborate floral headpieces and elegant dresses emit a captivating aura throughout the festival. Each Fallera appears as a vibrant sprite, adorned with smiles and joy, showcasing the elegance and charm of Spanish tradition.
In addition to the dazzling Falleras costumes, the Fallas Festival is also famous for its unique Fallas dolls. These dolls are typically handcrafted by local artists, with new and innovative designs emerging each year. I saw a variety of Fallas dolls, some symbolizing historical legends, others portraying modern culture, each brimming with artistic charm and creative inspiration. Ranging from delicate miniatures to towering spectacles, the diverse forms of Fallas dolls added a special touch of color and whimsy to the festival.
During the Fallas Festival, the entire city of Valencia is immersed in joy and celebration. The streets are adorned with vibrant decorations, and people indulge in food, music, and dance. The night sky is illuminated with fireworks, painting a starry spectacle that concludes the Fallas Festival perfectly.
In this enchanting festival, I felt the Valencian people's love for traditional culture and their passion for life. The Fallas Festival is not just a celebration; it's a cultural journey that allows people to experience the unique and captivating charm of Spain. I will forever treasure these beautiful memories and eagerly anticipate returning to Valencia to reunite with this vibrant and charming city once again.#西班牙 #境外遊 #valencia #歐洲旅行
