Let's start with the journey. The closest major city that we can take a plane to is Fukuoka. From the big station, Hakata station, take the train to Takeo Onsen station. Mifuneyama Rakuen Hotel is home to Rakan no Yu, which has won the Grand Prix in the Sauna Cheran for three consecutive years. The hotel building itself is a little old, but it is kept clean, and the room was simple but comfortable. The collaboration with teamLab was unexpectedly fun. Some pieces resemble others featured in different locations, e.g. the pound where the carps projections are feels like the one in teamlab Planets in Tsukiji, Tokyo. That said, the location itself gives a different vibe to the pieces. Wear comfortable shoes and be careful when walking around as the place can be quite dark in some places. There are 2 gates and one opens 1 hour later, at 20:00. I would suggest entering earlier so you don't have to rush to see everything.
