I visited Sanrio Puroland in early June. It was my very first stop in Tokyo! I've loved Cinnamoroll since I was a kid (only to find out later that he's a boy 🤣). At almost 30, it was my first time visiting Sanrio Puroland. The truth is, the entire park is designed for kids. There are no thrilling rides, everything moves slowly, and the park isn't very big. But surprisingly, it made me, as an adult, slow down for the first time and truly take it all in 😌 (Unlike Disney, where you're usually exhausted from rushing between rides.) Once I slowed down, I actually found myself crying for no reason... Adulthood brings a lot of pressure. We silently bury many unhappy moments and grievances inside. But at Sanrio Puroland, You see so many innocent children and Sanrio characters. They run around happily, wave energetically, laugh out loud, and cheer. It reminds you that you used to be just like that, until something slowly changed along the way. Over time, you forgot that you can actually be yourself—laughing and crying out loud without caring what anyone thinks. I rediscovered a long-lost happiness inside Sanrio Puroland. And I know that even after leaving the park, I'll find other ways to keep it alive ❤️ Here are some of my favorite moments from the park: 1. Finally meeting Cinnamoroll! You can get a numbered ticket at the entrance to take photos with the characters. 2. The parade had an amazing vibe. With great music and a storyline, everyone was totally immersed. 3. I had Pochacco curry for lunch 🍛 It was incredibly delicious and so cute.

(Strollers are only allowed on the 3rd and 4th floors / there is a storage area on the 3rd floor) Traveling light is the right choice 🙆◎ Since character greetings were our top priority, we accessed the ticket acquisition site immediately after entering the park! The cast members at the entrance are handing out QR codes for the website, so access it from there. One person checked in the stroller, and the other person handled the ticketing. Since you can only get one ticket per phone, I also held the other person's phone and was operating both phones simultaneously 😂 At 10:30 AM, only the 4:30 PM - 5:00 PM slot for Pompompurin & Pochacco was available 🥹 After getting Pochacco, I tried to get Purin with the other person's phone, but unfortunately, the slots were already closed…😭 Feeling disappointed, but miraculously, I managed to snag a cancellation for Cinnamon at 11 AM!😭✨ ⚠️ The ticket page cannot be reopened once closed! Don't forget to take a screenshot and bookmark the page! Regarding obtaining greeting tickets, on weekdays, 10:30 AM seems to be the absolute limit... Even then, only a few characters were left near closing time, so I think going first thing in the morning, even on weekdays, is the surest way to get a greeting ticket. On weekends, going first thing in the morning seems essential 🥹💭 For the Hello Kitty greeting, we purchased a paid pass. We were able to get in in 5 minutes 🎀 Since it was my child's first visit, we told the information center in front of the stroller parking area that it was their first visit and received a card to wear around their neck and character stickers! *You can also get these for birthdays, etc. They're very cute, so I recommend them 🩷 All the ride attractions had wait times of around 100 minutes, so we gave up on all of them 🫠 If you prioritize attractions, I recommend purchasing a paid pass, which can be bought at the ticket machines near the attractions! (However, these passes were all sold out by the afternoon. Since you can choose the time of use when purchasing, it's best to buy them early 👍) It gets incredibly crowded from 2 PM onwards with afternoon pass holders, so make sure you do everything you want and get your pass before then! The live-action photo booth on the 2nd floor, exclusive to Puroland, is highly recommended as you can download all photos and videos for free 📸✨ (This also gets crowded after 2 PM) 🍽Food Situation 1st Floor → Difficult to find a seat / Order lines are relatively short and quick Many main dishes suitable for lunch 4th Floor → Plenty of seating available / 40-minute wait for desserts This seems like a good place for a snack, with tapioca, parfaits, crepes, etc. They also have main dishes, though fewer than the 1st floor. 📒Summary Even on weekdays, it was quite crowded, so it's best to do some research on the official website and decide on your plan and how to get around! I learned that planning is crucial at Puroland 🥹 Also, you go up and down stairs so much that I was sore all over the next day 😭 Even though it's indoors, I personally felt it was more physically demanding than Disney. Meet your favorite cute Sanrio characters! Sanrio Puroland is just about a 10-minute walk from Tama Center Station in Tokyo. The rainbow-themed building is absolutely adorable. At Sanrio Puroland, you can enjoy character greetings, watch parades, hop on rides, and grab a bite at the fun restaurants and cafes. Every corner of the park is perfectly picture-worthy, so you can capture plenty of memorable photos ◎ Since character greetings require reservations, I highly recommend booking a meet-and-greet with your favorite character as soon as you enter the park.

This time, we planned a 5-day, 4-night trip to Tokyo, and for one of the days, we decided to venture a bit further out. We chose a day trip to Mount Fuji. After comparing the JR ticket prices with the cost of a small group day tour, we found the difference to be only NT$500, so we opted for the more relaxed option of joining the tour, which started at 9 AM at Tokyo Station. Our first stop was the Sengen Shrine, where we paid our respects. I also bought a beautifully crafted notebook here, which is both high-quality and a great keepsake. We were also very lucky with the weather, as the goddess of Mount Fuji seemed to bless us with perfect conditions for taking lots of amazing photos. Besides buying some fruits to snack on, I highly recommend trying the freshly roasted sweet potatoes. They taste just like purple yams but are much larger and incredibly delicious. Next, we visited Oshino Hakkai, which felt like a small, man-made lake with a quaint, traditional atmosphere. However, it was extremely crowded with tourists, which shows how popular this spot is. One highlight here was the fish cakes sold in the shops. They came in a variety of flavors, and I tried two of them, both of which were absolutely delicious and impressive! I highly recommend giving them a try. 👍 We also stopped by the famous Mount Fuji Lawson convenience store. The nearby streets were quite empty, which I found very charming. Of course, we couldn't resist taking a commemorative photo outside the store. After that, we headed to Lake Kawaguchi, which offered stunning views. We also took a boat ride around the lake, which was very stable and had a decent speed. The entire ride lasted about 20 minutes. However, to capture a perfect panoramic photo, you'll need to find the best spot on the boat. Lastly, we visited the legendary Cherry Blossom Avenue, which is set against the backdrop of Mount Fuji. Unfortunately, there were no cherry blossoms in bloom during this time of year. Hopefully, I'll have the chance to return in the future to see the breathtaking scenery of cherry blossoms paired with Mount Fuji. A town area which is about 30 minutes train ride from Shinjuku and a must visit for the younger children. A kawaii theme park operated by Sanrio and it is called the Sanrio Puroland. This town has many services from offices, dental, supermarket, hotels and even residential area. With the easy accessibility to the Tokyo’s centralized area, it is no wonder many locals are staying here. In fact, many locals often travel on long distance train during their commute to work.
