During my Euro trip around Greece I went to Athens for a day and couldn’t miss a tour to Acropolis! The Acropolis of Athens is an ancient citadel located on a rocky outcrop above the city of Athens and contains the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historical significance, the most famous being the Parthenon. The term acropolis is generic and there are many other acropoleis in Greece. During ancient times the Acropolis of Athens was known also more properly as Cecropia, after the legendary serpent-man, Cecrops, the supposed first Athenian king. This is a small water bassin that looks like a lake just near the sea. On the other side of the lake is the beach I am showing. A very nice and calm place - one of my favourite place on the island if Thasos - Greece. It is accessible only by car and features some parking options. #sea #happynewyear

It is very near the mainland Greece and is accessible only by ferry from Komotini since there is no airport on the island but anyway you need a car there, so is ok. It offers many super beautiful beaches and is very quite during the fall and spring. #happynewyear

#cherryblossom2024 Paradise Beach in Thassos was the highlight of my spring getaway! 🌊 Located on the stunning island of Thassos, Greece, this beach truly lived up to its name. The entrance fee was around 5 euros, a small price to pay for paradise! As I stepped onto the soft golden sand and dipped my toes into the crystal-clear waters, all my worries melted away. #BeachBliss and #IslandEscape at its best! Nearby, the picturesque village of Limenas offered charming cafes and tavernas where I sampled delicious Greek cuisine and enjoyed panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. Plus, don't miss the chance to explore the ancient ruins of the Thassos Acropolis, just a short drive away. Managed to visit the Acropolis during my recent trip to Greece and it was nothing short of amazing! This place has so much history and the sights are spectacular! The museum is right beside the site with affordable entry tickets, and was such an eye opener. Weather was great to travel around Greece. recommend people to travel in Oct in future!
