Have you heard of this place? Aichi Prefecture goes all out at "Tennogawa Park" with a limited-time illumination!
Aichi Prefecture's incredible wisteria trellis!
At Tennogawa Park, you can view the wisteria trellis from above! The reflection of the wisteria on the water's surface creates a spectacular view you won't easily find anywhere else!

[Gifu] A colorful display of wisteria! Introducing Tennogawa Park
Tsushima City, Aichi Prefecture, was once known as "Fujinami no Sato" (Wisteria Village), and in spring, you can still see the impressive wisteria trellis, 275 meters long and covering an area of approximately 5,034 square meters, at Tennogawa Park in the city.
Every year, a wisteria festival is held, with outdoor stalls, and at night, you can see the beautiful wisteria lit up.
Since wisteria appears in the anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba," cosplayers dressed as Demon Slayer characters have been visiting in recent years, and the number of people taking pictures of their impressive poses has been increasing.

This is the head temple of Tsushima Shrine!
It is located right next to Tennogawa Park, which is famous for its wisteria.
We recommend visiting both during wisteria season.
It is the head temple of all Tenno shrines across the country, and is said to be the god of warding off epidemics and disasters, and bestowing good fortune.
When we visited, the irises were in full bloom.

The best wisteria trellis in the East
Tennogawa Park in Tsushima City, Aichi Prefecture.
The best time to see it is from late April until Golden Week.
There are many types of wisteria here, and the wisteria trellis over the small river
is a veritable wisteria tunnel that stretches for over 50 meters.
As it is a park in Tsushima City, admission is of course free.
Not only the wisteria trellis, but the spacious park is also a great walking course.

[Hokkaido Road Trip] Step into God's Palette! A One-Day Itinerary for the Biei Patchwork Road and the Dreamy Blue Pond
If Hokkaido is a gift from nature, then Biei is the gentlest page in that gift. Here, rolling hills are divided by fields of different crops, like a rainbow patchwork spread across the ground. The best way to explore is definitely by car! Stop whenever you want, use your car window as a flowing montage, and every place you drive through becomes a movie scene.
Today, I'm sharing a classic Biei driving route, covering the iconic trees of the Patchwork Road and the magical White-Gold Blue Pond. Be sure to save it! 📌
🗺️ Self-driving Route Planning (Suggested Itinerary: 1 Day)
Route Order: Biei Town (Starting Point) ➔ Patchwork Road (Check out various famous trees) ➔ Kitani-no-Oka Observatory Park ➔ Shirogane Blue Pond ➔ Shirahige Falls ➔ (Optional) Shikisai-no-Oka
📍 First Stop: Patchwork Road
Drive along the undulating country road, flanked by colorful patches of wheat and potato fields.
🌳 Must-See Trees and Photo Spots:
Ken & Mary Tree
Features: Filming location for a 1972 Nissan car commercial. A towering poplar tree stands alone on the hillside, exuding a powerful presence.
Map Code: 389 071 027*33
Seven Stars Tree
Features: A star tree that has been featured on the packaging of "Seven Stars" cigarettes. The tree itself is very stylish, and even more surprising is the row of neat birch trees next to it. It's perfect for taking photos with the light behind you!
Map Code: 389 157 155*00
Parent and Child Tree
Features: Two large trees with a small tree sandwiched between them, looking like a family of three standing hand in hand from a distance—warm and comforting.
Map Code: 389 128 063*00
Note: Can only be viewed from a distance by the roadside. Do not enter the farmland.
Hokusei no Oka Observation Park
Features: A pyramid-shaped observation deck. Climbing to the top offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the entire Patchwork Road and the distant Tokachi-dake mountain range. You can also enjoy Hokkaido milk ice cream here. 🍦 Map Code: 389 070 315*00
📍 Second Stop: Shirogane Blue Pond
Approximately a 20-25 minute drive from the Patchwork Road.
Features: Due to the mineral content in the water, it displays a magical Tiffany blue hue under the refraction of light. Withered larch trees stand in the pond, their reflections shimmering in the clear water, creating a scene reminiscent of a fairyland.
Best Time for Photos: It is recommended to visit on a sunny day at noon or in the afternoon when the light is strongest, resulting in the bluest and most vibrant color.
Parking: A large paid parking lot is available (approximately 500 yen for regular cars).
Map Code: 349 568 888*00
📍 Third Stop: Shirahige Falls
Only a 5-minute drive from the Blue Pond, highly recommended for a quick stop!
Features: Groundwater cascades down from rock crevices like white whiskers, flowing into the blue Biei River (also known as the "Blue River") below. The view from the Blue River Bridge is breathtaking.
MapCode: 796 182 604*00
💡 Biei Driving Tips (Trip.com Exclusive Practical Advice)
Accurate Navigation: In Japan, using MapCode or phone numbers is the most accurate for in-car navigation. It is recommended to save the MapCode in advance.
Etiquette for Protecting Farmland: Most of the hills in Biei are privately owned farmland. Germs on your shoes can harm crops. Never cross fences to take photos in the fields. Please only take photos on paved roads or walkways.
Refueling Preparation: Gas stations are scarce near the Patchwork Road and Blue Pond. It is recommended to fill up your tank in Asahikawa or Biei town before venturing into the hilly areas.
Gas package combination: If you come in the summer and have enough time, you can also visit Shikisai-no-oka to see the colorful flower carpet in the afternoon, or go to Farm Tomita to admire the lavender!

Owari Tenno Festival in Tsushima City, Aichi Prefecture
The Owari Tenno Festival is held on the fourth Saturday of July every year at Tennogawa Park in Tsushima City, Aichi Prefecture. It is famous as one of Japan's three major river festivals. It is said to have a history of 600 years as a festival of Tsushima Shrine near the Tennogawa River. It is a powerful and spectacular sight when the straw boats carrying five lanterns appear on the Tennogawa River at night.
The flickering lanterns are reflected on the river's surface, making the straw boats even more beautiful. I think it's a festival you can watch for a long time without getting bored. If you have the chance, please go!

Tsushima City Sweets Shop [Rakuraku Confectionery Shop]
Located about a five-minute walk from Tsushima Station in Tsushima City, Nagoya, [Japanese and Western Confectionery] is a long-established Japanese confectionery shop. They offer handmade wagashi and Western-style cakes. They also offer seasonal limited-edition flavors for their traditional wagashi. The pastries are reasonably priced and well-made. I tried the dorayaki (Japanese sweets) and the cherry blossom-themed red bean cakes, both of which were sweet but not cloying. It's a must-try during your visit.

✨🏮I was enchanted by the dazzling summer festival, "Owari Tsushima Tenno Festival"!
The Owari Tsushima Tenno Festival is a summer festival held in Tsushima at Tennogawa Park and Tsushima Shrine.
It is said to have been attended by Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi, has a history of nearly 600 years, and is registered as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO. It is one of the three major river festivals in Japan and is considered the most luxurious.
The festival has various events and rituals over several months, but the most spectacular are the "Yoi Matsuri" and "Morning Festival" held on the fourth Saturday of July and the following Sunday. This year, they were held on July 22nd and 23rd.
During the Yoi Matsuri, five straw boats decorated with more than 500 lanterns row across Maruike Pond in Tennogawa Park, creating a fantastic sight. This scene is famous, and when you think of the Tennoji Festival, most people probably think of straw boats with lanterns on them.
Also, during the morning festival, a boat carrying Noh dolls is rowed across Maruike Pond, and young people from the Ichie floats jump into the Tenno River with Nunohko floats, creating a valiant sight.
The Owari Tsushima Tenno Festival is a wonderful festival where you can enjoy traditional Japanese culture and performing arts. Please come and see it at least once.

Hitakatsu Japanese Restaurant Minato Sushi
I went to Minato Sushi, famous for its Hitakatsu restaurant in Daema Island. It was a restaurant where I felt like I was in Japan. It was a famous restaurant for Koreans, and most of the customers were Korean. The menu was in Korean, so it wasn't hard to order, but there was a bit of a wait, so I waited for about 20 minutes. Since I came to Japan, I had to have a glass of Nama Beer~ Wow, it's not a restaurant that I'd say is really delicious, but the prices, menu, etc. were varied, so it was good.
