The garden is dominated by a large pond and offers seasonal scenery such as cherry blossoms and autumn leaves. In September 2002, it was designated as a national scenic spot as the 'Former Tsuyama Domain's Secondary Residence Garden (Shurakuen)'. Until November 24th, the Forest Art Festival in Okayama is also being held, with art pieces on display. The artworks in Shurakuen are free to view, so be sure to visit.

Jyoto Mukashi Machiya (Former Kajimura Residence) This townhouse is located at 40 Higashishinmachi, Tsuyama City, Okayama Prefecture, and the main building dates back to the end of the Edo period. The rooms on the west side were built in the Meiji period, while the two-story building on the north side, including the Western-style building, was built in the Taisho period. Tsuyama Western Studies Museum This facility is located in the Joto district, which is also designated as a nationally important preservation district for groups of traditional buildings, at 5 Nishishinmachi, Tsuyama City, Okayama Prefecture. Located near the main entrance of the Tsuyama Castle ruins, the museum boasts an incredibly rich collection. With over 20,000 items ranging from animal taxidermy, fossils, and minerals to shells, insects, and human anatomical specimens, it leaves you marveling at the diversity and profound mysteries of the natural world. The wide variety of stuffed animals, especially the displays of rare species, makes you feel like you've walked into a miniature world museum. Converted from an old school building, the architecture carries a retro vibe. While it may not be a flashy modern facility, it offers a wonderfully nostalgic and welcoming atmosphere. The museum's layout isn't overly complex, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll. It goes beyond merely displaying animals and rocks you can "see"; through its thoughtful categorization and exhibits, it helps visitors grasp the true context of natural sciences.
