Arshan: The Magic of Waterfalls and the Majesty of the Sayans
🏔️If you're searching for a true 'place of power,' head to Arshan. This resort, nestled at the foot of the monumental Tunkinsky Goltsy (Eastern Sayans), captivates visitors from the first breath of its pristine mountain air. 🌬️
Must-visit spots:
Kynarga River Canyon 🌊: The main attraction for travelers. A well-maintained trail leads to the first waterfall, where powerful streams of water cascade down steep cliffs.
Mountain trails 🥾: For those ready to venture beyond the first waterfall, breathtaking panoramas of untouched nature and even wilder cascades await.
Mineral springs 🥤: After an active trek through the foothills, be sure to try the local healing water straight from the springs.
Why visit: The combination of icy waterfalls, hot springs, and snow-capped peaks of the Sayans makes this a unique destination in Siberia. It's the perfect route for a reset, meditation, and stunning photos. 📸

The Healing Waters of Arshan. 。
🏔️ The "Zhemchug" Hot Spring .
If you're looking for more than just a getaway, but want to recharge and improve your health, this is exactly where you need to be.
💎 Zhemchug is a thermal hot spring resort.
Unique geothermal springs gush from the earth here. The water in the pools varies, so you can choose based on how you feel:
· Pool R-1 (Methane): A comfortable temperature of +35...+37°C. The water, rich in radon and hydrogen sulfide, does an excellent job of warming up the joints, helps with skin and nervous system issues, and boosts the immune system .
· Pool G-1 (Carbonic acid): Hotter (up to +56°C), rich in silicon, sodium, and magnesium. It’s a lifesaver for gastrointestinal problems, musculoskeletal issues, and "women's" health conditions .
At Zhemchug, you can go for a swim whether it's winter or summer .
🍜 What to eat?
Buryat cuisine is hearty and flavorful. You definitely have to order:
· Buuza (pozy)
· Bukhlyor
· Salamat
· Sharbin
💡 Our Accommodation Recommendations
For a comfortable stay, we recommend choosing tried-and-true spots. Both locations are in the Zhemchug area, right next to the bathhouse complex .
1. 🏕️ "Yurty" Camping Hotel
A total ethnic vibe with the amenities of a modern hotel. A guaranteed atmosphere of being one with nature, far from the noise, with its own access to the shore .
2. 🏔️ "Five Peaks" Guest House
An excellent choice for those who appreciate homey comfort and mountain views. Clean, cozy, and warmly domestic. Super family-friendly .
🔍 How to find contacts and book?
It's super easy. Open the "2GIS" app (or use their web maps), find the village of Zhemchug, and type in the search bar: "Кемпинг отель Юрты" (Yurty Camping Hotel) or "Гостевой дом Пять вершин" (Five Peaks Guest House). The system will show you the exact location on the map, phone numbers, and booking links.
☝️ Don't forget to pack your swimsuit and flip-flops !

Peak of Love | Arshan, Buryatia.
The Peak of Love is located in the village of Arshan, Republic of Buryatia.
It's a relatively easy trail that doesn't require any special training. The hike up takes about 4 hours on average, and the hike down takes around 3 hours. It's highly recommended to bring trekking poles, and you must pack water and some snacks.
The views are absolutely breathtaking❤️
Not far from Arshan, there's a maral farm that I also suggest checking out😊. The deer there are super friendly, and you can even feed and pet them.
