#falladventures #travel #familytravel Beautiful place. The Pamir mountains are so colorful, purple rocks, marmots (or other species similar to them). It is easy to go for treks from the lake to the viewpoint which is in front of Peak Lenin. Path is visible and easy. You don't need a guide. We had the “maps.me” application, in which the path is shown and accurate. We start in the morning and at about 5 pm we had transfer back to the village. Ask in the Peak Lenin Guesthouse for a transfer to the lake. The price is a lot cheaper than in CBT. Plus I don’t recommend CBT (see me review). For accommodation in the village, we recommend Sunny Side Guesthouse. We paid 2 prices less than in CBT, and we had our own room. Accommodation is basic, bed sheets not so fresh, but the family is really helpful. They put the fire on for us, so it was warm and cosy. The shower is in another small building, but they also put the fire also there, so it was really nice. It is near the main road between two gas stations. It is visible from the main road. #falladventures #travel #familytravel I was twice in the Jyrgalan valley. First, I was in summer for kymyz treatment (kymyz is a drink of mare's milk). I was wandering through beautiful nature. It's surrounded by mountains, green and tallest trees, huge river. I did treks to Kok-Bel waterfall, which is a nice and picturesque place to see. Huge stone "Tulpar tash", which was named after one of the historic horses' names. There are all kinds of flowers. A lot of edelweiss flowers. Lake, which is called "Turnaluu kol", where you can see real cranes. In wintertime, all places are covered by deep white snow. Freeride skiing, horse trekkings, fresh air, clean water, healthy food, warm guest houses with friendly hosts.Mountainous Jyrgalan is located 60 km east of Karakol, Ysyk Kol Province, Kyrgyzstan. Summer tourism: kymyz treatment, treks, horseback riding, traditional horse games, crafts, cooking classes. Winter tourism: freeride ski, snowshoe experience. It is a beautiful place with nice people, food, and good accommodation for staying. If you want to recover and stay close to nature in a cozy and friendly atmosphere, it is the right place to go. My friends and I took a trip to the mountains from Karakol City. Our driver picked us up around 10:30 in the morning, and we drove for about two hours straight into the valley. Along the way we made several stops to enjoy the views, and at one point we climbed up a huge rock to take photos from the top. As the road led us higher into the mountains it became both exciting and a little scary because we were driving right along the edge of cliffs. Even though it was early September and very hot in the city, up in the mountains the weather was freezing. We even saw snowflakes in the air, though they melted before reaching the ground. The wind was strong and icy, a big contrast from the warm valley below. On the way we also passed an old, broken brick house that looked very historic and added to the atmosphere. Driving back down was a little easier and faster since we made fewer stops. The road itself was not in good condition with many bumps and stones, so the ride was tiring rather than relaxing. Still, the scenery was breathtaking, with mountains that truly felt higher than the sky. Despite the rough road, I completely recommend this trip for anyone visiting Karakol. The natural beauty is absolutely worth it.

#MarchGoodPlaces2025 Walking west from #Karakol in #Kyrgyzstan for two hours along the mountain road, you will reach a small mountain town called Jyrgalan. We asked at the bus station in Karakol if there was a bus to this place. Even the bus drivers forgot about this place. They said they didn't know there was such a place and there were no buses going there. It took me more than an hour to find a driver and find out how to get there. You can hire his car, it's not expensive, about HK$200. This mountain town is being developed into a new ski resort. So a five-star resort is being built on the top of the mountain. Summer is a green hillside. You can hike, ride horses, and have a picnic on the grass.
