Ubud Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Ubud Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Sharing my day in Ubud
✨ Departure from the Bali hotel at 08:00 AM 🚗
✨ Around 10:00 AM, arrived at the Ubud rice terraces 🍃
There are many outdoor activities
And the hottest Instagram-famous swing 🔥
Many of the swing check-in photos on Instagram were taken here 📷
An additional fee is required 💰
Converted to RMB, it's about 90 or so ↔️
Even if you don't participate in these activities, you can still find spots to take photos
Personally, I think the terraces are just okay 😑
To put it plainly, it feels like the countryside haha 😳
✨ Noon at 12:00 PM, The Sayan House restaurant 🍴
It's a very popular Instagram-famous restaurant
Also an excellent spot to watch the sunset 🌄
The restaurant offers a full view of the Four Seasons Hotel 🏨
The food is also quite good 😋
But not to the point of being stunning~
The price is on the expensive side, not very cost-effective 💰
✨ Afternoon tea at Omma Waterfall at 14:00 PM 🫖
It's a rather niche place~
Mostly foreigners 🌚
Omma is not only a Club but also offers meals and drinks 🍸
There is a minimum charge for booth and sofa seating 💰
The closer to the pool, the more expensive it gets
You can choose freely~
There is no minimum charge for the upstairs seating
You can also see the waterfall from here 💧
Here you can swim while enjoying the waterfall
Or order a drink and bask in the sun on the sofa ☀️
It's a great place to get in touch with nature 😄
Captivating Elegance in the Midst of Ubud's Bustle 💫🏛️
Ubud's magnetic allure finds its embodiment in a dress that possesses the magical ability to transform a seemingly tranquil temple into a captivating tableau for photography. Behind the modest facade, an unexpected treasure awaits—a hidden art gallery nestled within the bustling heart of the main road. This dress, a celebration of beauty in all its forms, becomes a testament to embracing the concept of 'extra.' Boldly embracing the potential to become a social media trend, this captivating attire is simply too resplendent to be content with ordinariness. ✨📸
Monkeying Around in Ubud's Enchanting Forest 🙈🌴
Peer into my eyes, and you'll unmistakably sense the genuine mix of apprehension and curiosity as I form an unlikely bond with a mischievous monkey. Given my less-than-stellar history with monkeys, this encounter is both surprising and heartwarming. Curiously, this tiny primate seeks a dinner date, transcending the rulebook for monkey behavior. With fearless charm, he perches upon my shoulder to enjoy a sweet potato feast, defying cautionary tales and reaffirming the power of curiosity and connection. 🐒🍠
As Tea, Tea House
#balitrip
Still around Ubud, this time a bit down to the Peliatan area. There is an artisan tea shop that has just opened in the Sukma Kesuma area. Not bad, after parking in the central area and walking all the way here to have beautiful tea in a place where every corner has an aesthetic that is no less beautiful - with a dominant earthy color that gives a warm & relaxing feel. While unwinding & welcoming September cheerfully in the style of Vina Panduwinata, even though her face is starting to turn gray, a sign of the changing seasons. The choice of tea is varied, not only a blend of tea leaves but also flowers combined with various herbs, each type of which is served in beautiful tea pots and cups. There are several small snacks, sweet and savory, which you can choose as afternoon tea accompaniments to relax your day and your heart.

Ubud Traditional Art Market Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
A shopper's Paradise Near the Palace 🇮🇩
#localescapes
🗓️ September 30,2023
Ubud's Traditional Art Market - right next to our guest house, just a short stroll away.
It's conveniently close to the Ubud Palace too.
Immersed in the rich art, craft, and culture of Bali, we found ourselves surrounded by a treasure trove of handmade items - clothing, bags, home decor, and jewelry, each exuding uniqueness. Prices were quite reasonable.
Pro tip: Take your time, stroll around, and compare prices; bargaining is a must!

Ubud art market
It was my first visit to Bali and it’s almost the same as how I would imagine it to be, a lot of art and craft and the heat 😂 the first skill you need to learn before coming here is the bargaining skill, everyone bargains here!! Normally they will set a very high price for the item and all you need to do is to bargain with them, most of the time, they will just ask you how much you want.
Love the art and craft and culture here. I’m actually very surprised that all the people here are extremely friendly and helpful! We went in the an art gallery and this 13 boy told me that he painted some of the painting and explained to me the meaning behind it. They also willing to explain to you even though they know you’re not buying the painting.
There are alot of cloths, bags, home deco and jewellery. I love how all of them are hand made and it’s very unique, the price is quite reasonable as well. You’ll be seeing alot of stalls with the same kind of products, so don’t rush to buy anything first, can walk around and survey the price for the best deal!
Enjoy shopping!!
Ubud Traditional Art Market, Bali
#wecreate
Ubud Traditional Art Market is one of Bali’s best markets, selling a variety of authentic and artisanal goods by the locals. This is the place to get your clothes, souvenirs, and other Balinese work of art. You can haggle the price and most of the vendors will work with you. Since this is a massive place and you'll see a lot of the same stuff, definitely roam around first and see what works best for you.

Ubud Art Market: The hidden artist atmosphere in the market vendors
The Ubud Art Market opposite the Ubud Palace is a classic project with group tours that was not in our list. But after a plethora of goods, I couldn't help but look in it. Although the entrance to the Ubud art market is always in the doorway, people and people rub shoulders, but if you walk patiently, there will be fewer tourists and the shopping experience will be slightly better.
The goods in the market are mainly hand-made straw bags, exotic casual wear, various Hindu-style carvings and traditional Balinese decorations. Although the degree of commercialization is very high, the products are mixed, including well-made silver, woodcarving, batik and oil paintings. There are also some rough workmanships, which are like Yiwu small commodities. But you can choose some favorite items carefully. . Its just that you can buy something here and youre really going to shop around.
The most worthwhile purchase is a straw bag with different shapes. At first glance, the INS bloggers' net red models are not rare. Feel free to wear a straw bag, when you take a photo, you will have a summer vacation. Since there are so many choices, why not choose a special one? Although there was no pickpocket in the market, but in a street stall not far from the market, I still picked up a stylish straw bag, hollowed out with leather handles, styling and very loaded, squatting It is also very comfortable, it can be said that this is the most satisfactory spoils of this trip to Bali.

Kaveri Spa at The Udaya Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Kavery Spa
We had the most gorgeous flower bath at the Kaveri Spa. Such a lovely experience - big thank you to the lovely, very helpful therapist that hosted us.
I also had a hot stone massage which I would highly recommend. It was lovely and firm and Indi did a great job working out some of the knots in my shoulders and neck before the hot stone relaxation! She was really conscientious and made sure to ask if both the environment and the pressure was ok. I loved every second.
I got the flower bath, 1.5 Balinese massage and aloe Vera detox plus a high tea package and it wasn’t very expensive at all! The lady doing the message and helping with bath took photos for me and was as patient and took as many photos and videos as I wanted. This is one of my favorite things I’ve done in Bali. I would recommend using this spa!

Tegenungan Waterfall Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Tegenungan Waterfall
#wheretogo
Getting There - Kemenuh, Sukawati, Gianyar Regency, Bali, Indonesia.
Attractions - The Tegenungan Waterfall is a very popular spot with locals and tourists as it is fairly close to the city, just 10km outside Ubud.
This is a super touristy and busy waterfall, be prepared you will see the crowded when you reach this beautiful waterfall. It needs a long walk down to the waterfall, approximately 200 steps up and down to arrive there.
Tegenungan : Bali's Refreshing Falls 💧
#localescapes
🚙 As part of our Ubud tour, primarily for transportation at 200k per person, we kicked off our adventure with a visit to Tegenungan Waterfall.
💵 A mere 20,000 entrance fee granted us access, and the path was lined with charming shops and eateries. Along the way, we discovered complimentary photo spots. The trail was an exciting adventure, leading us down to the waterfall's embrace and back up its steep incline.
🍃
Surrounded by lush greenery, the waterfall's inviting waters welcomed us for a swim. While not the largest, Tegenungan's charm is undeniable, offering a genuine connection with nature.
For a closer encounter and the chance to swing, there were additional fees, but it was worth every moment. 🏞️💫

Admiring the Sight of Tegenungan Waterfall 😮
Tegenungan Waterfall is situated at the village of Kemenuh Village on the Petanu River in the Gianyar Regency. It is one of the most popular waterfalls in Bali for both locals and tourists as it is close to the city. It is also probably the busiest since it is super easy to reach from Ubud. We went here after visiting temples around Ubud ~ In my humble opinion, I would say it is well worth a visit. If you are just around the area, it wouldn't hurt to check this out. The waterfall is open from 6:30 am – 6:30 pm and entrance fee is 20k IDR.

My Lazy Afternoon at Lazy Cats Cafe
#familytrips2024
## Cat Naps & Coconut Lattes:
Calling all feline fanatics and chill vibes enthusiasts! Your Bali itinerary needs a new stop: Lazy Cats Cafe in Ubud. This place isn't just another cute animal cafe – it's a full-blown sensory experience that'll have you saying "Om" and purring with contentment in equal measure.
The moment you step off the bustling Ubud street, Lazy Cats transports you to a bohemian oasis. Think exposed brick walls, hanging plants galore, and mismatched vintage furniture that somehow comes together perfectly. It's like your hipster grandma's living room on steroids, and it's AMAZING. But the real stars (besides the resident feline overlords, of course) are the staff. Friendly and attentive, they make you feel right at home, whether you're a solo traveler or a group catching up.
Speaking of home, let's talk about the food. Forget limp lettuce and overpriced lattes – Lazy Cats is all about fresh, local ingredients and creativity. Vegetarians and vegans rejoice – this menu is your playground! I dove into their signature rainbow Buddha bowl, a kaleidoscope of roasted vegetables, fluffy quinoa, and a tangy tahini dressing. It was as delicious as it was Instagram-worthy (because, let's be real, food pics are essential on any vacation). For the caffeine fiends, their coconut latte is a must-try – creamy, subtly sweet, and the perfect pick-me-up after exploring Ubud's temples.
Now, onto the main attraction: the cats! These furry residents roam freely throughout the cafe, lounging on plush cushions or napping in sunbeams. They're not overly snuggly (this is a *Lazy* Cat Cafe, after all!), but their nonchalant presence definitely adds to the chilled-out vibe. **Pro tip:** Don't be a pushy tourist. Let the cats come to you, and enjoy watching their laid-back personalities unfold.
Overall, Lazy Cats Cafe is a must-visit for anyone seeking a relaxing and unique experience in Ubud. It's the perfect spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing, fuel up on delicious food, and maybe even get a purr-fect Instagram shot (just don't disturb the napping kitties!). So ditch the guidebooks for a while, embrace your inner sloth, and head to Lazy Cats Cafe – your Bali vacation will thank you for it.
