The ocean view from the hill where the fort sits was much more breathtaking than I'd expected, so I found myself just standing there for a while, just gazing at it. The ruins themselves aren't large, but they're easy to explore at a leisurely pace, like a stroll, making them a perfect way to slow down during your trip. The well-maintained paths made exploring them a breeze. It's not a crowded area, so the quiet atmosphere made taking photos a breeze. I highly recommend it for a casual visit when you want to experience both Guam's nature and history.

The climb itself takes less than 5 minutes, making it a convenient stop. From the lookout, you can see the verdant mountains and the azure waters of Seti Bay, truly capturing the natural beauty of southern Guam. The lack of man-made structures adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The lack of crowds made it a great place to quietly enjoy the scenery, and it's also a perfect spot for a quick break during your drive. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a short but satisfying view.

A southern tour of Guam was something I really wanted to try during my trip! This time, I went on a taxi tour. The weather was so perfect that it couldn't even be fully captured in photos ☀️. The scenery you see with your own eyes is truly more beautiful than a hundred pictures. The taxi tour is divided into 2-hour, 3-hour, and 4-hour courses, and you can choose the course or places you want to visit! I chose the 3-hour course, and the timing was just right, allowing me to explore leisurely. ⸻ If it's your first time going on a southern tour of Guam, I highly recommend the taxi tour 🚕. The driver knows all the best spots and even pointed out photo spots and good restaurants along the way :) However, if you've already been to the southern area before, renting a car and driving freely might be a great option this time. The roads are simple, and driving along the coastline feels amazing 🩵. ⸻ The southern part of Guam has a different charm compared to the northern part, so I highly recommend visiting at least once 🌺. On a sunny day, the blue sea and sky look like a painting ✨. The scenery is so stunning that even casual photos turn out beautifully :) The lighting is lovely, and the color of the sea is exactly as it appears in real life 🌴. ——— This time, I dressed casually, but now I think it would have been better to wear a pretty dress for the photos :) Instead of plain outfits like mine, wearing a vibrant dress or colorful clothes would make your photos look much better 🌺. Since it's a trip, why not boldly try styles you wouldn't normally wear? Your photos will turn out completely different 📸. ⸻

One of the things I was most excited about while planning my trip to Guam was the Southern tour. This was my second visit to Guam, but since I didn’t have a driver’s license during my first trip, I couldn’t explore the Southern area back then. Unlike the resort areas in the North, the Southern tour offers a chance to fully experience nature, history, and the laid-back local atmosphere. So, we decided to rent a car and drive around the Southern region ourselves. There were no entrance fees for any of the stops on this itinerary. 🩵 Emerald Beach The first stop was Emerald Beach. Just like its name, the sea sparkled with a true emerald hue, which felt even more magical compared to the color of Korean seas. The water was so clear that you could easily spot fish swimming around, including many eel-like fish. It seemed like a perfect spot for snorkeling, but I heard the water was deeper than it appeared. Unfortunately, that was all there was to it. 😢 🩷 Guam Southern Office Next, we visited the Guam Southern Office. At first, I wondered why we were stopping here, but once we arrived, I realized it was a beautiful building surrounded by open scenery, making it a great photo spot. Although the weather turned cloudy, which affected the photos, I could imagine how stunning it would look on a sunny day with the red roof, blue sky, and palm trees blending together to create Guam’s warm and tranquil vibe. ❤️ Fort Soledad Then, we headed to Fort Soledad, a place I had been eager to visit. Since the fort is located on high ground, the view was absolutely breathtaking! The sight of the ocean and village below was truly awe-inspiring. This fort was used during the Spanish colonial era, and there was a coconut vendor right in front of it. He would crack open a coconut on the spot, allowing you to enjoy the refreshing coconut water. After finishing the water, he would split the shell in half and scrape out the flesh, serving it like sashimi to be dipped in a spicy sauce. Surprisingly, it was incredibly delicious! (However, the tools used might not be very hygienic, so those with weaker immune systems should be cautious.) 💜 Merizo Park Our final stop was Merizo Park. This place was memorable for the sight of locals swimming or enjoying picnics with their families. Even just stepping slightly into the water revealed a variety of adorable fish, making it feel like a tiny aquarium. You could see the underwater creatures clearly without snorkeling gear, which made observing marine life up close even more enjoyable. Simply dipping your feet in the water was refreshing and delightful. Southern Guam truly offers a chance to experience the untouched beauty of the island. You can leisurely explore all the locations in a single day without feeling rushed. The Southern region is filled with local charm, distinct from the glamorous resorts in the North. I highly recommend experiencing it at least once!

Seti Bay Observatory, a great place to visit during a tour of southern Guam I was worried that I would have to climb up high because it was called an observatory, but it was so nice because I only had to climb a few stairs. Lamlam, where I went trekking in Guam! 📍Address: Agat, Guam Mariana Islands 🚘How to get there: You can go and climb on your own, but if you want to trek safely and professionally, it's better to join a tour! Mt. Lamlam trekking is perfect for people like me who like to walk or who relieve stress while walking🥾 There's one fun fact about Mt. Lamlam! It's said to be the highest mountain in the world when measured from the ground! It's also a pilgrimage route, so Guam people come here regularly to climb it! Since it's a trekking course, it's not very steep and it takes about 2 hours round trip! It's not very steep, but it's better to wear hiking boots and trekking to protect your ankles! When you climb Mt. Lamlam, you can see Guam surrounded by the sea at a glance, and it was even better because you could focus on yourself while climbing! (I participated in a trekking tour! The best part was that there weren't many people, so I was able to leisurely view the scenery!!! It looks like it's surrounded by mountains But after a while, the sea opens up and you can see the horizon It's really beautiful!! #HotelAccommodationEvent

There are pavilions and benches at the entrance, so it's nice to just sit there and do nothing.
