Although on Thursday we heard somewhere that there would be gusts of wind and rain over the weekend, but since it wasn't a storm and the ship was still moving, we still decided to go with the mindset that if it rained, we could stay in the bedroom.

We’ve just completed our Ha Long / Bai Tu Long Bay cruise, and it’s truly been one of the most unforgettable highlights of our Vietnam trip. A major reason for that was our fantastic guide, Cong. From the beginning to the end, he was not only extremely knowledgeable and well-organized but also genuinely warm and attentive. What made him stand out was his effort to connect with everyone individually, rather than just addressing the group as a whole. This personal touch made the experience far more special and memorable. The entire crew onboard was equally commendable—friendly, professional, and always ready to assist. The service was outstanding throughout, and the food provided was consistently delightful. We were also celebrating our anniversary during the trip, and the team went out of their way to decorate our room beautifully on very short notice. This thoughtful gesture added a unique and heartfelt touch to our celebration. The stunning scenery, well-planned activities, and overall atmosphere combined seamlessly to create an exceptional experience. It’s a trip we’ll cherish for a long time. We traveled as a group of four, always accompanied by an Italian-speaking guide. From Puluong to Saigon, we passed through Bai Tu Long for a two-day cruise and visited key cities like Hué, Hoi An, and Saigon. We also cherished visiting the Thung Temple and enjoying its little concert just for us, the embroidery workshop (even our young adults loved it), and the warm reception from our host in Ninh Binh—a kind, remarkable, and thoughtful woman. Leaving Vietnam, our hearts are heavy. It’s certain: one never emerges quite the same after such a journey, such immersion, and all those emotions we experienced. This trip was a perfect balance between a deep personal quest and discovering the treasures of the country. We didn’t just see landscapes; we witnessed raw reality. Wandering through the alleys and rice fields creates an instant connection with the world as it truly is, far from picture-perfect postcards. This journey will forever be etched in our memory. Ha Long Bay (English: Ha Long Bay, French: Baie de Ha-Long, Vietnamese: Vịnh Hạ Long) is located in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, Socialist Republic of Vietnam, adjacent to Hai Phong City, Cam Pha City, and Van Don District. It is a typical limestone karst bay, covering an area of approximately 1,553 square kilometers, with beautiful and charming mountain and sea scenery. Its landscape resembles that of Guilin, renowned as a tourist destination, and known as the "Guilin on the Sea." We chose Authentik Vietnam for our family trip of three to Northern Vietnam. The itinerary included cycling and boat rides, visiting a village in the terrestrial Halong Bay, a cruise in Bai Tu Long Bay, and a stay in Hanoi. We were very impressed with the excellent organization planned by Kien. The accommodations and meals were all of very high quality. A special mention goes to Nep House, where we experienced magical moments in a small village near Ninh Binh. Our guide, Thin, was highly knowledgeable and spoke perfect French, while our driver, Cat, was friendly, respectful, and discreet. This created a great atmosphere during the trip and allowed us to share enriching discussions about Vietnam overall. In front of the temple, there is a lake with a beautiful cloud bridge crossing over it, adding to the charm of the place. The entrance of the temple exudes grandeur, perfectly capturing the majestic essence of the site. The sound of chanting from the temple creates a mystical atmosphere, especially when paired with a walk by the sea. It left me with a peculiar yet fascinating impression of this extraordinary temple.

I visited this place by renting a motorbike in Halong City, enjoying a scenic drive. The journey to the temple, which is only about 70 kilometers away, is far from boring, as it is filled with the breathtaking views of Halong Bay's beaches and islands. The refreshing breeze makes the drive even more enjoyable, so I highly recommend visiting this spot. The temple's grandeur alone is reason enough to make the trip worthwhile.

Although it was built in 2007 and is relatively new, Cai Bau Temple is considered one of the most beautiful temples in the region. While it is located about 70 kilometers away from Halong City, making accessibility slightly less convenient, it is highly recommended to visit this remarkable site.

I rented a motorbike in the Halong area and rode along the stunning coastal road to reach the temple. The journey took about two hours as I stopped to explore various spots along the way. The temple is situated on a high location, offering breathtaking views, and its large scale provides plenty of areas to explore. The parking lot is very spacious, suggesting that it might attract many tourists during holidays. If you prefer a quieter visit, weekdays would be a better choice.

Cai Bau Pagoda is located in Van Don District, Quang Ninh Province, along the coast. It is approximately 70 kilometers away from Ha Long Bay, making it not the most accessible destination. However, the coastal road leading to the pagoda offers stunning scenery due to the area's unique terrain, ensuring a pleasant journey. You can rent a car for a leisurely drive or, if you prefer, ride a motorbike to enjoy the refreshing breeze. The roads are wide and have minimal traffic, making the trip safe and enjoyable. This is a great spot to experience the charm of Quang Ninh Province, and I highly recommend visiting it.

I never thought there would be a place like this that is surrounded by the sea on 3 sides. You can lie down and enjoy the view, which is so vast and endless, then sit and enjoy it with a cup of coffee. Here, the sugar is carefully prepared from brown sugar, white sugar, and diet sugar. #awesomepic
