#100waysoftravel When we visited Verona the weather was sunny ☀️ but cold. My partner and I went there in February. Although it was cold, it was lovely. When you go to Old Town and walk down the streets you will see a lot of shops. On the square there was a market where you can buy a lot of handmade goodies. We walked across Ponte Pietra, then made our way up to Castel San Pietro, where the views of the city were breathtaking. As the sun set, casting a golden glow over the rooftops, we struggled to set up our tripod to capture a beautiful couple photo with the stunning sunset. Luckily, a kind couple offered to help and took a few photos of us at this romantic, scenic spot. It was the perfect moment to capture memories of our time in Verona.

Mostly known to tourists from Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, there’s way more to do in the city than visiting Juliet’s house. While you can see Verona on a day trip from Venice or Milan and most tourists do so, I highly recommend spending at least one night as it’s much quieter and local than nearby big cities. The arena might not be as famous as the Colosseo but it is actually a really stunning piece of architecture! In fact is was build even before the colosseo and it also has been place for traditional games and shows in ancient times. For sure it is worth a tour when visiting the beautiful city of Verona. the ticket is 10 euro and it is free on the first Sunday of every month. tip: if you can choose the date of your visit, make sure you don't go when there are shows scheduled for the night (arena is also a theathre now) because they will cover the whole court with stage and seats and you will stay pay full ticket price. #history #urbanexplorer #tripblazers

If you are visiting Verona you cannot miss this stop! And I highly reccommend you get there by sunset 🌅 Seriously, even though it is gonna be a bit crowded it is the best moment to catch on camera. I have visited Verona several times but how could I not know about this spot before! I was enchanted by the medieval atmosphere in this place. The bridge, together with the castle it is very nice to see. We had a romantic walk around it and even got to step on the higher columns from where we could admire the view of the river. The cover photo is the famous Juliet's Balcony from Juliet's House based on the famous Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet'. I consider it to be another Italian's romantic city as it in the home to this love story. We stayed in the old town area which have all the lovely scenic spots. The hotel is the city center and is less than five minutes away from Juliet's house. Is it walkable everywhere in the beautiful old town. We had the drink in Piazza Bra right next to Verona Arena. A countdown to end the year. Since I started working, I have counted down overseas every year. At that moment, I'm glad to be alive again this year. I'm enveloped in a happy moment of fun. This time it's Verona. The place where the countdown is held. Arena di Verona. An ancient Roman circular fighting arena. I've never been to the Colosseum in Rome, but I wonder if it looks similar? Verona is a very beautiful place where the Adige River and the buildings blend together. I think I could relax all day looking at the scenery. There were still Christmas trees in the city. Chocolate drinks after meals that are common in Italy. Sweet but delicious. Many people gathered in the square, and finally it was time for the countdown. There were strong anti-terrorism measures and security checks. It was also broadcast on TV, with a pleasant band playing. The bridge has a total length of 120 meters and is mainly constructed of red brick, with red brick above and white marble for the lower white part. When the bridge was built in the 14th century, the aim was to connect the castle so that in the event of an accident, it was possible to escape from the castle as quickly as possible and reach the opposite river bank. Based on my little experience, I would like to share with you some suggestions for watching opera in Arena. Although Arena usually only has various performances in spring and summer, because it is open-air, it can be a bit cool at night. It would be better if you bring a small coat or scarf. In the unmarked area, you sit on rows of very hard stone rows. An opera usually lasts three to four hours, and many audience members will bring a small cushion, which makes it more comfortable to sit for a long time. Lake Misurina (Italian: Lago di Misurina; Cadorino dialect: Lago de Meśorìna) is the largest natural lake of the Cadore and it is 1,754 m above sea level, near Auronzo di Cadore (Belluno). The lake's perimeter is 2.6 km long, while the maximum depth is 5 m. Near the lake there are about ten hotels with accommodation for around 500 people. The particular climatic characteristics of the area around the lake make particularly good air for those who have respiratory diseases. Near the lake is the only center in Italy for the care of childhood asthma. The lake was the theme of a famous song by Claudio Baglioni. Lake Misurina is also the theme of the theatrical representation of the Longane di Lozzo. Lake Misurina is where the speed skating events were held during the 1956 Winter Olympics of Cortina d'Ampezzo – the last time Olympic speed skating events were held on natural ice. Verona's Gentlemen's Square is also known as the Lord's Square (Fig. 4, 5, 6). From the former residence of Juliet, turn right and walk 200 meters to see the vanilla square (Fig. 1, 2, 3, 9), through The "Whale Rib Arch" next to the lively Herb Square is the gentleman's square adjacent to it, and the two squares are neighbors. It was a municipal center in the Middle Ages and was built throughout the city hall and court buildings. The central part of Gentleman's Square is erected with a statue of Dante, which was built in 1865 to commemorate the 600th anniversary of the birth of the last poet of the Middle Ages. It is said that Dante was exiled by his hometown of Florence, and he was transferred to Verona to play for the feudal lord Camendra de la Scala. During his stay, Dante received preferential treatment and spent the most beautiful and comfortable time in his life. Thus, he wrote the most beautiful chapter in the Divine Comedy - "Divine Comedy Heavenly Kingdom".
